First impressions are important and they were great here. I had a warm welcome, remembering and referring to my earlier telephone call regarding dinner. The room was spotless, quality linen and towels, kettle, good selection of tea/coffee/hot chocolate. All settled in, I went for dinner and there was a good choice on the menu -loved both the Ox cheek BonBons and Fish and Chips, all washed down with a few pints of well kept TT Landlord. Breakfast was more of the same, excellent. All staff were very attentive and accommodating.

More of an observation than a dislike... I would love to bring my 90 yo mother to stay here when we visit relatives later in the year but the spiral staircase access to the bedrooms would prevent this. Mum would've loved to stay here.

The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was warm and the bed comfortable. A quiet location in a picturesque village, with parking on site.

Two minor points: The evening meal was excellent, as was the cooked breakfast, but I was surprised there was no offer offer of cereal or of marmalade to go on the toast. The two-pin shaver socket in my bathroom didn't work but for a one-night stay this was not critical. I drew this to the attention of the staff so I hope they have corrected it.

This was the second time I had stayed here, but in a different room. The shower is fantastic, the rooms are great, they even supply dairy free milk for your tea/coffee. The food is great, shame they don't do food on a Sunday night, but understand everyone needs a night off.

The only improvement I can think of is the bathroom mirror could do with some anti fogging to stop it steaming up after having a shower.

The staff was friendly and efficient when we arrived around 4 pm. The pub had excellent food and drink. Our beds were really comfortable and the shower worked well. There was a fan to help with the comfort of the room. A/C would have been nice, but wasn't necessary.

Our room 3 was right next to the kitchen air vent, so we could not leave our windows open. Not really a fan of the smell of steak cooking. Room 1 would have the same problem. If we return, we'll know to request a room on the opposite corridor. Of course, it wouldn't be a problem except in hot weather.

The room was comfortable, clean and cosy. The staff were kind, helpful and courteous. Breakfast was lovely. My Full English was made specially for me (and had not been made in advance and left under a hot lamp). They catered for food allergies without a problem and were very nice when we were a bit late to check out. I have a relative living nearby and will definitely book another stay in future. Very pleased with my choice.

Great central location for traveling around East Anglia. Clean, comfortable & quiet room with a powerful shower, TV, coffee & tea making facilities. Very friendly service, good choice for breakfast & main meals were excellent. Would highly recommend.

Car parking can be non-existent if back after 5 on Fridays & Saturdays even the car park opposite can be full. Can park in some of the side roads.

Very welcoming and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable, and we slept well. If I had 1 minor criticism, it would be that the room did not contain a chair. ( for ease putting shoes on etc), But that said, we did not spend too long in the room as we were out enjoying our surroundings. All the staff were extremely helpful and I would stay there again.

The room was very nice. Not huge but well appointed, clean, tastefully decorated, had a nice new classy feel to it. Excellent lighting and light switch location. Decent sized TV. Plenty of tea/coffee etc. Bathroom was of a similar standard. Staff were all very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Everything was efficient, room explained, breakfast choices etc. Full english breakfast was delicious. Good parking

No food served in the evening on a Sunday was really my only complaint and mainly because the menu looked excellent and I was looking forward to it. Had to go elsewhere, which is no big deal really as that is how it is at most B&Bs. Access to my room was via a nice circular staircase. No issue for me but perhaps those with limited mobility may not find it so charming.

We were very pleasantly surprised by everything to do with our stay; delightful staff, excellent food and drink, an electric fan in our room, a very clean en suite with super shower. We hope to stay again in the not too distant future.

The bannister rail on the spiral staircase and a couple of the iron spindles need attention, which I'm sure you will be dealing with. The toilet seat in the en-suite needs to be tightened.

The only thing about this stay that tarnished it slightly was the two noisy ladies making a racket at 1am and again at 4am. Apparently they had been to a party/club after the Christmas party. Woke me and my friend twice, fortunately we managed to get back to sleep fairly quickly. Perhaps a large handily placed sign reminding people to be respectful and quiet might help?
