Breakfast was good. Little more selection re continental breakfast could be an idea. Bread rolls , more toast and yoghurts to be easily accessible. Seemed a bit sparse.
Evening meal was fine, but the back room was very cold, and really spoilt the occasion. Also I know you highlight not needing a reception etc, but believe it is important to have a point of contact if required, to speak to a person if need be, rather than relying on an I phone etc. Not everyone comfortable with this. Even if there was a comment that guests can come to the Bull pub should they require assistance, would have helped! Plus no signage of the property saying Pear Tree Inn. Took us a good 8 mins to locate the entrance etc. The unlocking of the door also took us a while! Only little things but it did take us 15 mins longer than it needed to. Meet and greet I believe is vital and needs looking at please.

We visited bury st edmunds for a little getaway break. After some research found this place. Well what can I say. From booking to departure was great experience. The communication before arriving and check in was outstanding. The ease of check in, the room was stunning absolutely spotless and the facilities was great. The location is stunning and quiet. The hosts were amazing and the locals so friendly. The breakfast at the bull freehouse, which is a stones throw was lovely. Would highly, highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a nice quiet getaway but still 10 mins from the main town. Top notch

Everything exceeded our expectations. These guys clearly sweat the details. To start, we arrived very late in the evening, and they kept the kitchen open to cook us dinner. The pub is an absolute gem. A genuine country pub with locals playing darts, but decorated to a standard that Londoners would love. Food was amazing. Room was amazing. Attention to detail around every corner. Dyson hair dryer in the room. Artisinal locally made chocolates waiting for us. Mini bar full of artisinal locally crafted liquors. Wireless charging mats for our phones next to the bed. Artisinal locally made cheese with the continental breakfast (some of the best cheese I've ever tasted). Friendly staff who were happy to tell us the history of the pub. Absolute hidden gem that would probably cost 400 quid a night in London. Highly recommended!
The big rain shower in our bathroom wasn't working, but this wasn't a big deal.

Lovely place to stay and the attention to details is what makes this place 5 star. Very well run and great communication with all the information you need before you even get there. The suite itself was beautiful and cosy with a log fire. The breakfast was 10/10. Would high recommend.
Was charged £35 for the dogs but on booking, com it states no extra charge for pets. I was happy to pay however as i would always expect a charge anyway and the place is really nice but i think the wording needs to change to say charges may apply as it is misleading.

We stayed in the Bartlett, which was small but perfect for our short stay. It was full of character and spotlessly clean with everything you could think of, Bluetooth speaker, wireless chargers, coffee making facilities and and a mini bar. It is decorated to an extremely high standard with a super comfy bed. The pear tree inn is a 2 minute walk from the Bull Freehouse where we were warmly greeted for both our evening meal and breakfast. It is ideally located for exploring some beautiful areas of Suffolk including Bury St Edmunds.
Nothing, it was perfect

Newly built/refurbished to a very high standard. Very comfy beds with hand made mattresses. Felt extremely relaxed and comfortable in the surroundings. Even had tables and chairs to sit out in the small garden area outside the room. Loved that the milk for the coffee machine or tea was fresh in a mini bottle rather than the long life pods you often get. Plenty of choice for the mini bar and decent bottle sizes of drinks. Eco friendly products. Nothing was too much trouble and owners were very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Breakfast was included and was fresh and top quality ingredients used. Food over at The Bull Pub was first class. A definite for any visit.
Room could get quite warm and fan was too noisy to keep on at night.

This was a very comfortable stay. Ben and Sam (owners), and Harry made us feel welcome, they are very open and friendly people, and very enthusiastic about their lovely village pub and separate accommodation, with lots of plans for the future. This is a new(ish) venture for them, and we think they have judged it just right. The room was comfortable - we had the King room, with a beautiful spacious bathroom which had a touch of luxury about it. The bed was gloriously large with a very supportive mattress. Netflix provided, Smeg coffee machine, who could want for more?!! The evening meal at their nearby pub was delicious and lovingly prepared, and the breakfasts substantial and very tasty. The small village is situated about 8 miles from Bury St Edmunds, the area is full of historical and interesting places to visit. The beautiful Suffolk coast is just over an hour's drive away. As you can probably tell, we didn't want to leave.
We can't think of anything we didn't like. We would happily stay again if we re-visit this area

Really well furnished, modern, clean and like a botique hotel but tucked away in rural Suffolk and linked to an amazing pub with great food and atmosphere. We had morning walks to the local woods with our daughter and enjoyed the food and hospitality of the pub including live music and an excellent cooked breakfast. My wife is vegan and they went to the trouble of vegan menus for breakfast with the choice of some great freshly made meals. We loved our stay here and would thoroughly recommend. Oh also only 12 min drive to the lovely Bury St. Edmunds where you can easily spend a day.
We took our own travel cot as our 2 year old daughter can’t really sleep in a bed. Ideally most hotels will have one of these on site but no problem really!

Probably the nicest, most thought out hotel room that we've stayed in over the past year. So many really well thought out little touches to the room that just elevated it, from the hand made chocolates to the wireless charging pads each side of the bed to the umbrella hanging in the room incase it's raining on the two minute walk over to the sister pub. The most comfortable bed ever and really lovely decoration, we really enjoyed our stay. We had dinner and breakfast the following morning at the Bull Pub almost next door, which was so welcoming and relaxing, it was like eating with family but with much better food. Just need to find an excuse to come back this way for another visit!

Everything at the Pear Tree Inn was exceptional. The room was exactly as described in the photos and cleanliness was the best I have ever experienced. The attention to detail really stood out. The housekeeper does a wonderful job here. All the staff were really helpful and friendly. We ate in the restaurant twice and the food was exceptional. I would have no hesitation in booking to stay again.
