Lovely old pub set in a pretty village. Beautiful gardens, lovely twin room, plus the shower was excellent. Very quiet with attentive friendly staff. Ate in the restaurant that evening and the food was first class. As was next morning’s breakfast, especially the bacon and sausages. Overall a first class place offering a first class stay.

Could find nothing wrong with our stay. Very satisfied.

The bathroom was pleasant but the shower pretty tiny even for us two small people. It also needed a little TLC in terms of a grouting and a good scrub, there was a bit of shower 'cheese', that orange stuff that appears, and there was only about 2 minutes' hot water in the tank before it went cold. Not that my husband minds, he's into cold showers! I, on the other hand, scampered out pronto! I'm being picky though, it was a really lovely room and bathroom.

A thoroughly enjoyable stay at The Bull Inn. As a solo traveller, I found the room facilities exceptionally well-considered, comfortable, stylish, and equipped with everything needed for a relaxed and restorative visit. Breakfast was a genuine highlight: beautifully presented, locally sourced, and thoughtfully curated. From perfectly cooked eggs to rich, barista-style coffee, it brought a sense of quiet luxury to the morning. The atmosphere throughout was warm and welcoming, with attentive staff and a sense of calm ease. Great value for the quality offered.

This is the perfect location in a beautiful quiet little village just minutes off the A14. I arrived reasonably late and was greeted warmly and shown to my room. I loved the luxury crisp bedding and weighted foot blanket and no comfort was spared with the biggest fluffiest towels I have ever had in a B&B !! The breakfast was served with a friendly smile with a good choice of freshly cooked to order options. The pub also has a good extensive menu for evening meals in its restaurant which was a lovely relaxing way to end a days sight-seeing. The staff were all very welcoming and I appreciated the personal friendly touch. Would absolutely stay here again if in the area.

A small shelf in the shower cubicle to put soap / shower gel / shampoo on would be useful but absolutely didn't deter from my stay.

So for your everyday traveller - the rooms are beautiful, super comfortable and really restful. The pub is lovely - busy at the front, tranquil outside, quiet on the side and amazing high class food in the restaurant. The breakfast is amazing quality and I highly recommend the scrambled eggs. We came here as my mum, who is at end of life wanted to see her friend one last time. We had to have oxygen delivered for her to stay which the hotel handled without any fuss. My mum was quite ill on the second night and they were supportive and understanding without making a scene. This was a huge deal for us and went far beyond expectations of what was quite an emotional and hard, yet wonderful trip. I cannot praise the staff at the Bull enough and am eternally grateful for them giving us this memory together in these final times together. I would recommend on every level and will be back down the line. Thank you so much.

Staff are always very friendly. Food is home cooked and delicious. Rooms always very clean and the linen is of lovely quality and smells fantastic. Always a delightful nights sleep here. Private car park with plenty spaces. I've stayed here several times and I'm always happy to return.

The breakfast was lovely and it was really great that breakfast opened at 7:00am. Very few places that offer breakfast are open early. Dinner was amazing. The food was fantastic and the service exceptional. A really lovely place to stay.

Not a fan of a wetroom in the bathroom but thats a personal choice. Otherwise there is absolutely nothing I did not like.

I loved the gorgeous, well thought-out guest room. The furnishings were beautiful; I would say perfect. The grounds are also beautiful with a stunning garden open to the guests. The fact that breakfast was included made it value for money for me, and it's always nice to have a bar and restaurant downstairs. The breakfast room was lovely. (Unfortunately the restaurant was closed on the night I was there or I would have had dinner there as well.)

(The huge bucket of cigarette butts clearly visible from the landing to the upstairs rooms was pretty gross. It seemed so inconsistent with the rest of the lovely property.)

Room was lovely. The heating worked well. The bathroom was well appointed and the breakfast was excellent with local produce. The village setting was lovely. Excellent for a one night stay.

Parking was awkward until the restaurant was closed. Parking in the village was possible but tight. Perhaps a key box for the return of the keys as we had to put them through the pub's letterbox.

We had booked 2 rooms as we were in the area for a wedding. I called to see if we would be able to check in early as we're travelling from London and needed to change. When we arrived, they had one of the rooms ready for us, which was great. We stayed in the annex, which are rooms on the ground floor with a pretty private courtyard. The breakfast was amazing. "Dad" is the chef and all the produce is of a high quality - especially the sausages 😋. All our breakfasts arrived together and were piping hot and cooked to perfection. Thank you to everyone at The Bull Inn. If we are back in the area, we will definitely be staying again.
