As I was working at Snetterton Race Circuit I had to be up early and drive to the track by 7am so I didn't spend much time, other than sleeping at the property. The setting was very quiet and peaceful which was just what I needed after a long day. The owner of the property was engaging and helpful offering advice on the best places to eat and the quickest routes to the circuit. The fact that the property is only 20mins drive to the circuit was a prime reason for choosing the property. The property has good WiFi connection but be aware that mobile connection in the area is patchy at best. This is a typical English countryside hotel, small, understated and furnished as such. Don't expect a trendy, high polished all chrome and mirrors accommodation, I would go elsewhere if that it what you want. My, I like a bit of a cozy country hotel, wooden furniture, warm decor and a friendly and interesting owner. There is a lovely pub, The Red Lion in Kenninghall, just a five minute drive from the property which serves great home cooked food. I had a delicious whitebait starter and for my mains I had a huge plate of gammon, two perfectly cooked eggs, garden peas and twice cooked chips that were fluffy on the inside with a lovely crunchy outside. The pub serves a wide selection of beers and spirits and is recommended in the CAMRA good beer guide.

I would have loved to have been able to sample the home cooked breakfast, but unfortunately I had to be at the circuit by 7am exch day which meant I had to leave early. My choice I know, but as a suggestion, perhaps a breakfast box could be provided for anyone having to leave early before breakfast is open. Maybe something as simple as a bacon and egg sandwich and a yoghurt pot. It was a little pricey for just a bed for the night, but for me and on this occasion the convenience of the location outweighed the higher price.

Beautiful rural location. We were met by a friendly little dog and a lovely lady. We were made very welcome. Our room was small but adequate. It was tastefully decorated with a lovely view of the gardens at the back. We could see chickens and canaries. It was peaceful and comfortable. The breakfast was well presented and delicious, 10/10. The staff were lovely, nothing was too much trouble. Overall an enjoyable stay.

Comfortable bed, adequate facilities for cooking or preparing food within the shared kitchen, a fridge within the room. The parking adjacent to the accommodation. Peaceful location. The room, shared kitchen and bathroom were clean and tidy and I did my bit to keep it that way.

The accommodation was not as I had expected perhaps I didn't thoroughly read the details. The room I had booked was for one with a single bed, not a lot of space for your belongings bags etc. No facility for hanging clothes which wasn't a problem for me being my stay was for work and was not intending to socialise.

On arrival my wife and I were warmly welcomed by the landlord and his wife; offered tea and cakes on the house, we took them gratefully, taking time to get to know one another, to state our likes and dislikes, which the landlord took onboard. Matching the 17th Century listed main building in its ambience, our cottage was part of a converted barn. It had modernized facilities, all functioning well. The rooms were spotlessly clean and inviting, everything needed, such as linen and towels, was provided, except personal toiletry products. We had taken our own. Though we were not on a self-catering holiday, our cottage contained all the facilities required as if one was at one's own home. The very rural location and farmhouse like surrounds (without the smell of animals) were superb, very tranquil, allowing us an undisturbed sleep, to be woken up in the morning by wood pigeons cooing and other birds twittering. Morning breakfast, cooked to a chosen order from a comprehensive menu, was sumptuous and delicious; actually they kept us going well into mid PM. The landlord's love for Norfolk and surrounding countryside was all too obvious by the collection of books that were kept in the dinning room. These could be browsed while eating the breakfast to get ideas on where to go exploring in the countryside. The landlord was very knowledgeable about his county that he shared with us, where and how to get there, which roads to avoid, and what to see, all of which we thoroughly enjoyed. The establishment has its own sprawling well maintained garden, where one could spend the day just relaxing, or go walking, if one did not wish to travel. This is the first time we had spent a holiday in this type of establishment. Until we got there, Strenneth at Fersfield was a chance selection, but at the end we were delighted by our choice.

The location was spectacular. If it's the quiet you seek here is the location. The hosts were extremely accommodating and pleasant. Only stopped a couple of nights as a last minute thing for us but would definitely stop again.

Great place the owner was very nice, when I came back for second night I almost felt like I'm going home. Owner very nice, he was also preparing breakfast which was also very good. Very quite place, great to get away from the city. And cheap only £108 for two night, I booked it last minute.

It so met our many needs in many ways with our family group . Attention to details . We took over most of the property having 7rooms , my wife and I chose the upstairs four poster bedroom 😊. We were all there In preparation for a wedding close by. Paul was spot on and a great host. Breakfast was very very Good

Everything. Room was quaint, exactly as described, clean and comfortable. Having access to shared kitchen facilities was a bonus. Host was very personable and easy to chat to, breakfast was good and plenty of it. Very quiet location right in the middle of lots of tourist attractions in a beautiful picturesque part of the country. Would definitely visit again.

I loved that it is a family run bed and breakfast. It felt very hospitable and really made a difference when I went through a rough time, and in need of somewhere to stay.

Very quaint guest lodge in the countryside, was an ideal location for my work. Clean, lovely facilities and overall a very comfy stay.

No negatives. Matched my requirements perfectly.
