Easy to find and plenty of parking..The room was clean and comfortable, with everything you could need for an overnight stay. Bathroom had large walk-in shower and lovely smelling toiletries. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The menu was varied and the staff seemed proud to tell you the provenance of each element, all locally sourced with a lot from the kitchen garden on site. The food was amazing. Rhubarb and Birds custard? Don't be fooled, it was nothing like mom used to give us. Breakfast was excellent, a good choice of yoghurts (local), cereal, croissant. Full English was well cooked and very enjoyable. Would we stay again? You bet we would!

Perfectly cooked breakfasts with a good varied choice on the menu, of which we took full advantage off during the few days we stayed. The room was spotless with extremely comfy beds, tea and coffee and a well-appointed bathroom. Dinner was exceptional, though booking is essential as the restaurant is clearly popular with locals enjoying an excellent fine-dining experience. The owners were very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area, ensuring a truly personal atmosphere. The main building is sixteenth century, though adjacent bedrooms are modern. The location was beautiful in the spring, with quaint thatched cottages lining the adjacent lane. The nearby village of Eye is worth visiting if you like Churches, castles and a rustic village that has not been over developed. We will return!
Nothing to dislike - Please dont change anything as you have found the perfect balance.

I stayed in Room 2, one night, on business, and the room overlooking an area of garden, had a very comfortable double bed indeed. Spotlessly clean. Two bottles of water, tea/coffee biscuits all complimentary. Incredible value for money, everything to highest standard, from the quality of loo roll to the complimentary soaps/shampoo, luxurious towels. It was a lovely room, beautifully designed and styled, and a great tiled bathroom, with shelves and heated towel rail, and both a hand-held and overhead shower and it's a large beautifully tiled walk-in shower. I only mention all this as I usually stay in Premiere Inns when on business, and the contrast really surprised me, this was (for same price) superior in every single way. Parking free and plenty, with security cameras. High quality cooked breakfast, which was included in the room price, and was outstanding: fresh mushrooms, Suffolk black pudding, free range eggs, bacon, local yoghurt...all excellent and breakfast cooked perfectly. I'm guessing it's a family run venture, but staff were very helpful, courteous, meticulous and very welcoming. The pride they take in high standards in every detail is uplifting. Would highly recommend to anyone.

This was a very last minute stay and we were so pleased we chose to stay here. I have previously heard great things about the food here, and it absolutely did not disappoint. We had dinner from the Al a Carte menu and every course was just amazing! Jake the owner was just brilliant really helpful with recommendations and he just had so much passion and knowledge about the food. Local produce, and so much love and thought that been put into their menu and it just shines through in the food. Our room was really comfortable, me and my partner both slept incredibly well although the hotel is located on a road side we couldn’t hear a thing from our room lovely and quiet. The room could probably do with a little spruce in little areas just a fresh lick of paint but it was clean and perfect for our stay. We will definitely be returning! Thank you to the team here for making our stay so great.

A beautiful property on a busy road but good location. The most wonderful welcome by the owner who helped with my bags and showed me to my room. Tastefully decorated room with plenty of space. a very comfortable bed. A large desk for work. Nice selection of teas and biscuits A fridge Quality toiletries in the bathroom. Nice fluffy towels Raindrop shower with additional hand shower. Airconditioning Double glazing so no road noise. Outstanding dinner menu using local in season produce. Every mouthful was sublime. Served by Jake and Katy. Jake described each course and is obviously proud of the food served. Simple but tasty breakfast. Cannot praise this hotel highly enough
Nothing it was perfect.

We had an exceptional and unique experience at The Auberge, a hidden gem discovered during a spontaneous overnight stay. Having travelled from London, we found this charming spot unexpectedly and were delighted by the understated elegance of the accommodation. The room was spacious, tastefully decorated and thoughtfully equipped, including high quality bedding and towels which made for a very luxe feel. You could really see how much thought had been put into the presentation of the room. The bathroom had added safety features (suction bath mat and handle within shower) which were greatly appreciated. Luckily for us, on a Monday evening, the restaurant is reserved for guests only, and the meal well exceeded our expectations! Jason, who served them, was knowledgeable, dressed impeccably (including silver tray and white gloves!) and provided details about each dish and the locally sourced ingredients. And, unsurprisingly, breakfast followed suit, sans the silver tray and white gloves but certainly a great way to start our day! If we had arrived on a different night, we undoubtedly would have missed out on a reservation at the restaurant. So, if you're planning ahead for your stay, be sure to treat yourself to a fabulously memorable meal - just remember to book the restaurant in advance. This is definitely not your typical 'pub grub'! However, it is definitely a perfect venue worthy of celebrating a special occasion and was a truly memorable experience for us. We have nothing but high praise for Jason and Katie, the couple behind The Auberge, for their entrepreneurial spirit, dedication to their staff and commitment to quality. Their shared vision for excellence and growth is evident in their thoughtful and precise approach to the business. Their remarkable achievements in building their business in such a short time are highly commendable.

Beautiful property! Loved the age & history of the building. Very clean & comfortable room. Beautiful garden/outdoor areas. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Excellent service, both prior to & during our stay (advice & recommendation about booking a taxi for an event we were attending on the evening of our stay). The staff were able to explain about the features and history of the building - it felt like a very special and unique place to stay. Delicious breakfast, cooked to order, with lots of choice and local products. Would highly recommend this property.

I recently stayed at the Auberge Hotel and was thoroughly impressed by the outstanding attentive service and helpfulness from Jake and Katie. Their dedication to ensuring our stay was perfect truly stood out. From check-in to check-out, they went above and beyond to cater to our needs and made us feel exceptionally welcome. The hotel itself exudes a modern but romantic vibe, creating the perfect ambiance for a relaxing getaway. The decor is chic yet cozy, making it an ideal spot for couples or anyone looking to unwind in style. The breakfast at the Auberge Hotel was exceptional, with each dish crafted to perfection. The bespoke service provided during breakfast, with personalized recommendations and attention to detail, made the experience even more special. Thanks to Jake and Katie’s exceptional service, the Auberge Hotel has become our first choice for a return visit. We look forward to coming back and enjoying another wonderful stay!

Good location whether your passing through or using as a base to explore local area, appeared to be very professionally run, we only had contact with one member of staff and he was very good, room was very comfortable, good parking facility's, continental and freshly cooked breakfast etc all good, we stayed on a Sunday evening so their restaurant was not open unfortunately (another place just down the road was open so wasn't a problem)
Nothing to dislike, only comment we would have is our room was dimly lit with no way to turn the lights up a bit (minor issue)

The greeting when we arrived was professional and welcoming Jake new about me and my booking and was able to confirm the restaurant booking we had made on arrival. The room was clean and warm and matched the photographs on the website The staff in the restaurant were well trained and knowledgeable of the menu. The meal itself was wonderful and perfectly cooked The Breakfast was set up and welcoming when we arrived and sufficient for cold choices and the cooked menu was fresh and suited me and m vegetarian wife. Having a 11 o'clock checkout meant it was also there was no rush to leave. The area is quiet and had a great nights sleep too.! Jake, Restaurant staff, Kitchen staff/Food are a credit to the Hospitality business and others could learn a lot from this establishment
Nothing about the stay disappointed.
