The Auberge offers sublime dining and excellent accommodation which is enhanced with the passion and professionalism of its owners Katie and Jake. The dog friendly room with its four poster bed which was ultra comfortable and easy offered excellent value. Our canine companion was treated like royalty and was welcomed to dinner and breakfast - we had a quiet table which ensured other guests would not be offended. The dinner was outstanding. Each dish delicately constructed by the chefs and explained to us by Jake. Has to be one of the best stays we have encountered over recent years and we travel a lot

There was absolutely nothing, not to like about The Auberge

Location was easy to find on the main road, but the rooms were well set back, so no road noise. A bit further south of the Postcode, but we were informed of this. Large, modern comfortable room and bathroom, both well appointed. Room and bathroom were very clean, staff were very helpful. Breakfast was amazing, from the home grown tomato to the homemade sausages and bread. Certainly one of the best cooked breakfasts I have ever had. The restaurant looked very good. We should have tried it the evening before. Perhaps next time.

Just be aware that Reception closes early at the weekend. We phoned and were let in with no delay.

Welcomed on arrival, excellent accommodations with everything that is required in place and working well. Warm, clean, comfortable, everything provided in the shower/toilet room. Staff extremely accommodating and helpful throughout our stay. Food and wine all outstanding in quality and presentation served impeccably. Excellent breakfast choices in any mix and match combination, very rare attributes today in staff attitude and friendliness. Old style service and guest consideration very much appreciated. Will return and highly recommend.

The room was spacious, and the beds were unbelievably comfortable. The room was well equipped, spotlessly clean, and cosy. The breakfast was lovely, fresh cooked made to order full English and a good choice of cereals, pastries and fresh juices.

The hotel is advertised as dog friendly, but you are very limited to where they can go inside the bar/restaurant area and we felt like we were being told off for nearly going in the 'wrong' entrance (signed reception) and then the dogs momentarily wandered passed the reception desk and felt we were being told off again! I would say it was more of a dog-tolerable hotel than friendly. The food menu wasn't to our taste, which was lucky as there were no dog friendly tables available (only 2 in total), so we drove a few minutes down the road and found a lovely dog friendly pub which had lovely food.

Easy to find and plenty of parking..The room was clean and comfortable, with everything you could need for an overnight stay. Bathroom had large walk-in shower and lovely smelling toiletries. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The menu was varied and the staff seemed proud to tell you the provenance of each element, all locally sourced with a lot from the kitchen garden on site. The food was amazing. Rhubarb and Birds custard? Don't be fooled, it was nothing like mom used to give us. Breakfast was excellent, a good choice of yoghurts (local), cereal, croissant. Full English was well cooked and very enjoyable. Would we stay again? You bet we would!

Nothing!

I stayed in Room 2, one night, on business, and the room overlooking an area of garden, had a very comfortable double bed indeed. Spotlessly clean. Two bottles of water, tea/coffee biscuits all complimentary. Incredible value for money, everything to highest standard, from the quality of loo roll to the complimentary soaps/shampoo, luxurious towels. It was a lovely room, beautifully designed and styled, and a great tiled bathroom, with shelves and heated towel rail, and both a hand-held and overhead shower and it's a large beautifully tiled walk-in shower. I only mention all this as I usually stay in Premiere Inns when on business, and the contrast really surprised me, this was (for same price) superior in every single way. Parking free and plenty, with security cameras. High quality cooked breakfast, which was included in the room price, and was outstanding: fresh mushrooms, Suffolk black pudding, free range eggs, bacon, local yoghurt...all excellent and breakfast cooked perfectly. I'm guessing it's a family run venture, but staff were very helpful, courteous, meticulous and very welcoming. The pride they take in high standards in every detail is uplifting. Would highly recommend to anyone.

This was a very last minute stay and we were so pleased we chose to stay here. I have previously heard great things about the food here, and it absolutely did not disappoint. We had dinner from the Al a Carte menu and every course was just amazing! Jake the owner was just brilliant really helpful with recommendations and he just had so much passion and knowledge about the food. Local produce, and so much love and thought that been put into their menu and it just shines through in the food. Our room was really comfortable, me and my partner both slept incredibly well although the hotel is located on a road side we couldn’t hear a thing from our room lovely and quiet. The room could probably do with a little spruce in little areas just a fresh lick of paint but it was clean and perfect for our stay. We will definitely be returning! Thank you to the team here for making our stay so great.

Nothing!

Perfectly cooked breakfasts with a good varied choice on the menu, of which we took full advantage off during the few days we stayed. The room was spotless with extremely comfy beds, tea and coffee and a well-appointed bathroom. Dinner was exceptional, though booking is essential as the restaurant is clearly popular with locals enjoying an excellent fine-dining experience. The owners were very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area, ensuring a truly personal atmosphere. The main building is sixteenth century, though adjacent bedrooms are modern. The location was beautiful in the spring, with quaint thatched cottages lining the adjacent lane. The nearby village of Eye is worth visiting if you like Churches, castles and a rustic village that has not been over developed. We will return!

Nothing to dislike - Please dont change anything as you have found the perfect balance.

The breakfast was lovely. I had a cooked breakfast which was very nice, along with the pastries, yogurts and cereal. The room was spacious the staff were professional and pleasant. There was ample Parking on site. The air con in the room was a life saver, as it was really warm outside when we stayed.

There was an odd smell in the bathroom, which after inspection, the waste pipe to the sink was loose, and leaking, so I had to tighten it so it stopped leaking, which it did, but the smell still lasted until we left, which we had to mitigate by keeping the bathroom door shut.

A beautiful property on a busy road but good location. The most wonderful welcome by the owner who helped with my bags and showed me to my room. Tastefully decorated room with plenty of space. a very comfortable bed. A large desk for work. Nice selection of teas and biscuits A fridge Quality toiletries in the bathroom. Nice fluffy towels Raindrop shower with additional hand shower. Airconditioning Double glazing so no road noise. Outstanding dinner menu using local in season produce. Every mouthful was sublime. Served by Jake and Katy. Jake described each course and is obviously proud of the food served. Simple but tasty breakfast. Cannot praise this hotel highly enough

Nothing it was perfect.
