After an extremely traumatic journey (we had a puncture 40 mins from your venue) from our hometown in Malvern, we were greeted by a very friendly night porter who showed us to our room. We were both pleasantly surprised at how nice the room was and had a good night's sleep. We we greeted the following morning at breakfast by Lee, who was exceptionally pleasant and went above and beyond his duties by pointing us in the right direction to a garage to sort out the flat tyre. The breakfast was delicious, and we both agreed that it was the best we'd ever had. All staff that we spoke to were kind and helpful. The hotel itself is really quaint. The sloping floors, etc, just added extra character to the hotel. It was fab. The gardens were beautiful, my partner is a landscape gardener by trade and he was highly impressed with the workmanship. We will definitely visit again. Lee, if you happen to see this, I want to thank you personally for your help and for checking in with us when we got back and making sure that all was sorted with the truck. You were obviously busy, but you took the time to stop us and ask if all was ok, which turned into a really nice conversation. There should definitely be more people like you in this world!! I shall recommend your hotel to any family or friends that are thinking of heading your way. Thanks for a great weekend guys. From Leda ( the lady with the crazy coloured hair) & Carl.
There were only 2 things I didn't like. But this is just a personal thing, it's absolutely nothing to do with the hotel or staff..... firstly, was that I couldn't figure out how to turn off the subtitles on the tv!! Silly I know, and secondly the noise of the traffic ( well lorries to be exact) but that's the 2 only minute things I didn't like.

The location was ideal for us as we were going to a wedding and then onto the reception which was in a totally different area . The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful especially when it came to the breakfast There was plenty on offer but the heating plate and lamps were not sufficient. Unless you waited for new food to come out from the kitchen the food was cold The chap who worked the restaurant was very kind and heated our breakfast in the microwave. Nothing was too much trouble for him The coffee was the best we had tasted. He was forever running backwards and forward replacing item that were running out .I even apologised to him we were a family of 7 .and there was always something that had run out .
The heated plate and lamps in the restaurant these needed either turning up or replacing it would help with staff not having to run around especially with the food getting cold .Even provide a microwave so customer can heat their own food .hotels often do this at home and abroad When you are paying for a breakfast you expect it to be hot.

the hotel is set in beautiful countryside, the staff were warm and welcoming and very helpful. I arrived over an hour before the check in time but they made sure my room was the next one cleaned so I could access the room early. the room was spotlessly clean and very well equipped, I like the fact there was bottled water and a pack of biscuits with the tea and coffee making facilities. The room was chilly when I entered but fortunately there was a handbook explaining absolutely everything about the room, I was then able to turn on the radiator and the room warmed up nicely. I slept really well, the shower was absolutely fantastic and there were free toilitries availble.
I cannot think of anything that could have been improved.

Our room was on the smaller side (compared to our son's room) but perfectly adequate for what we needed. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. We were close to the main road, but this was not a problem and we were unaware of any traffic noise. Breakfast was delicious and plenty-full. It was a warm day and evening during our stay, but there was a fan provided which was all we needed. One of our sons left his apple phone charger in the room. My phone call was returned within the hour with the news that it had been found and for a small P&P fee it is being returned.
Nothing. We really enjoyed our stay and would book again.

Nice and large room with everything you need for a pleasant stay. Good and cozy beds. The hotel has many facilities. The Lamb Shank in the restaurant was the best lamb I have ever had! 👍
Ordered a glass of white wine, was room temperature. There are no children meny or child friendly on the meny. My son (10 years old) ordered a burger only with bread, meat and cheese… Comes with fries. He did not eat the fries as they were soaked in old frying oil and tasted like that. Even the waiter said they were not good. But still we were charged £15.20 for a “child burger” with uneatable fries 🥹 There is a 10% service charge on the bill (£ 5,09 in our case) I almost always give tips, but I dislike its already been put on the bill and I would not have given it if I had seen it was already added.

Staff very helpful Room clean and comfortable with good bed and shower (my husband had difficulty getting it cool enough in the recent high temperatures). Evening meal was good and not badly priced - bar staff exceedingly helpful and pleasant.
It was very warm and even opening the window did not give a great deal of relief. A fan would have been helpful. TV options were limited and we could not make the subtitles work - hence had it a bit louder than we would normally do in a hotel.

Great breakfast, fresh coffee and fresh eggs upon request. Great staff, reception staff was amazing and sorted our room. Late checkout when requested.
They firstly provided a room above the pub, which was terrible, small, tired, with cobwebs. Nothing like the pictures on booking website. We brought this to reception and they upgraded us (or changed us to a room more likely to their pictures). So sorted us for a great weekend.

The bathroom in the chalet room was lovely . We particularly liked ressi who was out of her depth on the bar . She explained is wasn’t her usual job but felt so sorry for her , she didn’t even get shown what a Prosecco glass was or how to use the till but her personality more that made up for it . Well done ressi . Comfortable beds .
Could of been a dressing table mirror The breakfast was disappointing . No hash browns , tomatoes or fried egg The scrambled egg was grey and overcooked even though the chef came out to check he didn’t replace but we were probably the last two tables for breakfast . Really nice sausages though and a great chap who explained how the breakfast buffet all worked .

The hotel is a in a good location as a way stop and only 2 minutes walk from the drive of The Oaksmere Hotel where we were having dinner with friends. We had booked one of the larger rooms with balcony in the main building, so not able to comment of the standard rooms laid out 'Motel like' around the main reception building. The staff were very friendly and the bar was comfortable.
Ashtrays on the balcony had not been cleaned and the hotel fittings in the more modern main building are looking a little tired. Some maintenance required that is easier on the eye.

Staff were lovely and helpful. Rooms were basic but clean and comfortable.
Felt sorry for restaurant staff. Seemed understaffed, and rushing around . They never stopped being polite and putting a smile on their faces even though they were under a lot of pressure. Great Western should be proud of them, most are students working long hours hopefully they get well rewarded.
