Jo is a lovely lady who looks after her customers really well ..She puts on a great breakfast in the mornings with a really good selection .

I was on the top floor ..I knew this when I booked , but it was very hard work to take my baggage up and back down as I do have leg and foot problems and unfortunately Jo is suffering herself atm with knee problems so it wasn't fair to expect her to carry my bags even though on arrival she did try to which I really appreciated. Despite this, this was my only 'problem ' I had on such a great stay .Jo is very helpful in every way that she can be and never rushed me vacating my room ..I did it at my own pace which I was very thankful of.

Just off the seafront and a few minutes walk to the railway and bus station. The steam train station was also located alongside the main station. Fairly typical seaside boarding house without the traditional dragon landlady of old. Very short level walk to the seafront with it's multiple attractions. Located in a quiet side street the rooms were very clean and equipped with anything you may need. Highlight was the excellent breakfast provided included in the room cost. Lots of choice and cooked fresh. Wonderful area to visit with numerous town and villages to visit. Buses only cost £2 a journey throughout the Torbay area. Recommend the bus to Kingswear, the ferry across to Dartmouth (£2.00) and a smaller boat to the fort at the estuary mouth (£3.00). Back to Kingswear and bus to Brixham followed by ferry across to Torquay (£6.00). From there train or bus back to Paignton. Wonderful day out to explore the towns mentioned as well as short cruises and ferries.

That I didn't book for longer. So many places I wish I could have visited.

Lovely homely hotel, lovely English breakfasts a choice and friendly atmosphere lovely Jo who made me feel welcomed! Jacaranda Hotel is close to the beach and harbour plus vue Cinema all the pubs and shops, everything you need close by walking distance.

The only issue was the stairs, as my room was on the top so if you have underlying health conditions with mobility not a good idea! although Jo offered a room that's has a separate bathroom out of the main bedroom on landing 1st floor I think for next time to consider.

Close to the beach and town centre. Jo the owner was friendly and welcoming and cooked a huge English breakfast which kept me going all day. My room was on the 1st floor, big enough with a single comfortable bed, TV, free Wi-Fi and coffee making facilities. The room had its own toilet and shower down the hallway. All in all a very pleasant stay in a quiet area but walkable to everywhere.

Well in a month this was our 2nd visit and we are booked in next year already so that says a lot The room was the perfect size for us all and the host Jo is so lovely and accommodating she really cannot do enough for her guests it really is a home away from home and if you stay here your bound to come across repeat guests and we can see why

What can I say. Was there on a break from the North East & cannot fault anything. Jo was lovely, always had a smile on her face & was interested in you & what your plans were for the day without being overbearing. Breakfast was plentiful & your hot option cooked to order. The rooms are nice & homely. Will definitely be going back. A little gem of a guest house. 🙂

Nothing at all

Jo was the perfect hostess. The breakfast was beautiful. Rooms are lovely only drawback some / most single are on the second floor not mentioned in info. Which makes impossible for older single people if not super fit. Some bed are hard but very good size. Over all would highly recommend. Definitely going again 5 star.

The friendliness of Jo,the landlady.Nothing was too much trouble.The choice of brekkie,was plentiful.And never once did i not see Jo without a smile on her face.IF i ever return this is the place i will stay.I told Jo i will give her a 9.5. Thank you.

If i was too be critical,the coffee wasnt really hot enough( sorry).But didnt deter me from my FANTASTIC stay.

The lady that owns the bnb is the loveliest person that simply can not do enough for you to ensure your stay is as enjoyable as it can be, the food was generous and excellent and the location is perfect a few minutes walk to the town and the beach and also the train station.

I found the mattress a bit on the soft side, but then again we do have a firm one at home so probably just a matter of personal preference rather than a criticism
