Loved the location, hotel facilities, room was very comfortable and the staff were amazing! There is abar on site, parking and a nice restaurant area for evening meals and breakfast. You are given a table which you have for your stay which is a great idea.

We would say that the entertainment was quite loud but we were placed in a room close to the main entrance due to my wife's disability as she has trouble walking long distances.. The entertainment only ran till 10:30 but if you plan to stay in your room and watch TV then the noise could be a concern if your in a room close the bar/entertainment area. There is no WIFI in the rooms but only in public areas which didn't bother us as we were locationed in the first room from the entrance.

Staff are very friendly, a real credit to the place...the staff really are 5 star! Room was a great size, well presented and VERY clean...as a bonus, we hade a private entrance directly onto the park, and rarely had to go through the hotel. Bar prices - but they have to pay for their entertainment (we weren't too fussed about the entertainment, so we used the multitude of bars right on the hotel's doorstep!!) Breakfast - small portions (1bacon, 1 sausage, 1 egg, 1/2 slice fried bread and some baked beans) - Have since found out this is to avoid waste, if you want a little more of anything on the plate you just have to ask and they'll happily accommodate. I do think this should be made clear on the menu.

Staff are great and work very hard, the location is perfect ,walking distance to everything you need, hotel has a great size bar area and cheap drinks, nxt cheapest drinks was the spinning wheel just down the road4 min walk ,which also has great food. breakfast is half the price of the hotel at gary coppers 3min walk..room was very large with a decent shower,down side was we where above the dinning / breakfast room so don't expect a lay in as the noise and door banging was pretty horrendous,

As the hotel had a large group from Bus tours the dining room was full and we were shown to a smaller dining room. The table service was excellent and the staff are all very friendly. Breakfast arrived promptly and was to a high standard. The fruit was all fresh and not from a can as was the orange juice. We didn't have dinner at the hotel but on the quality of the breakfast, maybe we should have done so. Our room was large and very comfortable. Wi-Fi access was available in the lounge areas down stairs but not within the room itself. Parking was very good.

There are areas in the hotel which probably need a freshen up. For example, in the small dining room for breakfast it was evident that the wall paper had been poorly applied and was of a poor quality.

Nice old fashioned sea front hotel. Excellent location a minute walk to the beach with a leisure park perfect for kids in front. Car park at the front of you are driving. There are evening meals although I didn’t try these and a bar. There is also evening entertainment although from what I heard of it, didn’t rate it! The staff are great and the management seems to have trained them well. Visiting in August most were likely to be college students and were very polite, courteous and knew what they were doing. My single bed room was spacious and comfortable. Tv although very small, a desk with a chair perfect for getting ready or doing a bit of work if you’re on business, and an arm chair (mine was a rocking chair loved it!) Bathroom was spotless and the room was serviced each day. This was on second floor despite some people complaining on other reviews.

The evening entertainment wasn’t the best, and bar service was slow with only one member off staff, I felt this let the hotel down hence why it’s not a 10. Some of the rooms were a bit dated, 1990s wallpaper and could do with being refurbished. The breakfast although a good choice of a starter and main was small. One egg, sausage, piece of bacon, fried bread.

The marine hotel was in the perfect spot for our rowing event across the green on the sea front! The room was lovely and especially the shower👍 All the staff were all very pleasant and very accommodating. The food was excellent and very good value..

It is a little bit dated and the outside belies how good it is inside.. my only slight issue I had was our lovely room was very close to the lounge where the entertainment was and everyone walking by on their way to bed.. having had a lovely time in the lounge. Consequently it was a bit noisy until quite late, especially when you have to be up early to compete.. so next time I will make sure I ask for a quieter area👍

Busy, efficient, unpretentious, perfect location between beach and station. The food was excellent, thank you chef. Yes, the choices were limited and the portions controlled and meal times strictly limited. But I was not paying for anything I did not need. Even the evening entertainment, though not quite my 'thing', added to the good feeling. Ideal for coach parties and as a base for exploring or as a stopover point. There is a large bus station near the rail station, with frequent services to Plymouth, Totnes, Torquay, Newton Abbot and Brixham, including Sunday.

The front door sticks a bit. Apart from that I cannot think of anything.

Everything!! The most wonderful staff! Nothing was too much trouble for them! The room was beautifully decorated and the bathroom was brand new! Everywhere was spotlessly clean!! The breakfast was lovely and again the service was excellent! Every team member was so friendly and so helpful!! We had exceptional service from one server in particular (apologies I didn’t ask your name) but thank you for making us feel so welcome!! The entertainment in the evening was a lovely surprise!!

A lovely lady on reception allowed us to leave our luggage in the morning before booking in & it was put in our room ready for us. 10/10 We had a lovely room looking over the gardens & could see the fun fair. Room & bathroom a nice size. Twin room. Beautiful curtains & nice fresh decor. Beds clean & comfortable A lift available if needed. Breakfast room was very nice & clean. Staff were doing an amazing job. The lady who catered for us.. excellent. 10/10 Was an amazing price. Fully recommended. Thankyou !

U can hear floors creaking & toilets flushing in other rooms such a shame there isn't sound proofing.

This hotel was great! Location was perfect right next to the beach and all shops, fairground and circus. Staff went above and beyond, always smiling and friendly, room was good, bed was comfy and room was clean, evening entertainment was good. Great choice for breakfast every morning. For the price this hotel had everything and we had a really good stay, will definitely go back. Short drive to zoo and not far from Torquay and Brixham. A***

Shower wasn't very powerful but wasn't a massive problem! As everything else with this hotel made up for that!
