The hosts Gareth & Mark are the best B & B hosts I’ve ever stayed with & I’ve travelled extensively. Nothing is too much & they’re genuinely the nicest, welcoming couple. The breakfast system is great & lots of it, I was greedy the first morning & couldn’t eat it all so calmed down for the rest of the week as I hate waste, lovely thick bacon. I loved choosing the night before so when i went down at 8am there’s no waiting. The other guests were all returners, lovely people & a testament to the hosts. The location is ideal, literally a minute away from the top of the promenade, 6mins walk to the Train & bus station, 4mins to the nearest shops & restaurants. The guest area is a conservatory, lovely & sunny all day, the fridge & little freezer (used for my ice packs) is a great idea, i used it to put my packed lunches in as there for the Agatha Christie festival so travelling a lot plus a picky eater! The others for their wine etc. There’s lots of info, leaflets etc on everything in the Torbay area & beyond, books to read, downstairs loo & of course Gareth & Mark are a wealth of info too. There’s parking at the back for quite a few cars, although i didn’t use as i came by train. The front garden has plenty of tables & chairs for relaxing, enjoying the sun as in full sun all day. On 2 occasions i came back & ate my lunch there, so incredibly peaceful & relaxing before going off to another event! My room was spotlessly clean as if everywhere else & clean towels every day. This little gem is the epitome of a traditional B & B.

Nothing to dislike.

Gareth and mark are lovely very friendly and helpfull , my breakfast was perfect , with lots of choice , the best poached eggs I've had. The bedroom was very nice and clean with everything you need , and I slept well . The decor throughout was very nice with a good seating area in a beautifull garden and entrance with use of a fridge which was very handy The location was perfect with the beach 5 mins away and lots of easy to walk to shops or winding paths to more natural stunning places to explore . Can't wait to return .

Nothing I didn't like

Gareth and Mark were very friendly and welcoming. We arrived early and were able to park in the car park and managed to get our rooms early too. We had two rooms and they managed to move us around so we were both next to each other. The bedrooms were really comfortable and the breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. The bnb was close to the beach, the harbour and the shops. Definitely recommend staying here if visiting Paignton.

EVERYTHING !!!! Mark and Gareth were the best hosts we have ever known, so friendly and welcoming, down to earth and happy to help with absolutely everything. I even requested a breakfast item that was not on the already varied menu and they did it for me with no hesitation at all. The room was clean, tidy and bright with no surprises about the size or decor and the sleep we had was the best in years. New double glazing has been well worth it as it was so so quiet. The location is perfect.... about 60 seconds to the seafront, food places, great walks and trips. They have a nice garden and conservatory you can use where we had quite a few chats with Gareth and Mark. We wish we had booked another 6 nights and have already secured another visit next year. These two have got a fantastic b and b and need to carry on doing what they do. You must visit !!

NOTHING AT ALL !!!!!!!

It was easy access to all the amenities, beach, harbour and town. The bus and train stations were also within 10 min walk. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were excellent.

The only thing we didn’t like was, our bathroom was very small, hand basin so very tiny, not a lot of room in the shower. The only other thing was that there were no chairs to sit on, oh and the TV was also miniature. These reasons could be because we also had two single beds as well as a double in the room. It was the only one left when I booked.

The owners Gareth and Mark were excellent. They made us feel welcome from the start, extremely helpful and the little details of fresh towels each day and during the airshow printing up a timetable of events which were received at breakfast. The food was excellent and the room and whole place was nicely decorated and clean. To top it off with a great location was fabulous

The bathroom could of been a little bigger and possibly a car but these really didn’t dampen our experience

From start to finish the hosts Gareth and Mark made myself and my partner feel welcomed, they were friendly and very easy to talk to and we immediately felt at home. The decor was beautiful and the guesthouse was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was delicious and freshly cooked each morning and there was a selection of options available to chose from. Both the hosts went out of their way to answer any questions we had and were always available when we needed them, we loved chatting to them and there was nothing that seemed to much trouble they were always happy to help with a smile. I would recommend this guesthouse to anybody wanting a relaxing getaway by the seaside and close to local shops and a good variety of bars, pubs and restaurants. We've made three new friends Gareth, Mark and their dog Jessy and will definitely be returning next year 😀

Mark and Gareth were so friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble. Great location and free parking. Lovely freshly made cooked breakfast included in price. Spotlessly clean and great attention to detail. Comfortable, clean room had everything we needed for our stay. Highly recommend

TV in room was very small which didn’t bother us. Large room but en-suite was quite small but had everything we needed

The owners of the b&b were extremely friendly from the minute we arrived till the time we left We stayed here 4 our 20th wedding anniversary .they left chocolates and a lovely card in our room ,such a lovely gesture,breakfast was outstanding . The guest house was extremely clean . Mark and Gareth we both would like 2 say a huge thank u and wish u both all the happiness . And thank u 4 your gift u left on the breakfast table this morning so thoughtful 💕..we will be back

No thing at all

A really lovely place to stay. It is close to the beach and town centre all within a few minutes walk. The hosts Gareth and Mark are very welcoming and look after you well. The breakfast is very good and sets you up for the rest of the day.

The weather was not great but that is England.
