Sarah and Marc were amazing hosts, friendly and welcoming. Offered tea/ coffee while checking in. Room was clean and comfortable with extra touches coffee machine hot chocolate and Horlick alongside tea bags breakfast and flavoured, also fresh milk in mini fridge, phone chargers and earbuds. Breakfast was fantastic, good quality ingredients especially the sausages and eggs cooked to perfection especially my poached eggs. Nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend this property and we will definitely be booking again.

There wasn’t anything not to like.

We found the facilities to be excellent. We had a lovely sized double room and our daughter had a single room. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. We were visiting Devon during a few hot days and it was lovely to have the fan in the room to help cool down. It was also lovely to have the usual tea and coffee but also hot chocolate available as well as bottled water which was refreshed each day. The breakfasts were delicious. We tried the fried breakfast, continental and pancakes and would recommend all three. They certainly don't scrimp on the quality of the food. The location was excellent for everything we needed. Just a few minutes walk to the beach and the seafront of Paignton and again a few minutes walk to the train station for the steam train as well as normal train and bus station. We would recommend Fairy Cove as a quiet little beach that keeps its beach from the tide most of the day and there are also shady spots for those that don't like sitting in full sun all day. We also enjoyed Goodrington beach which has a dog friendly area and a larger part where dogs can't go on. The tide doesn't come in all the way so you can spend all day there and has handy toilets (they cost 30p to use) and a shop, costa and ice-cream counter as well as a pub (watch out for seagulls though with your ice-cream). Plus it was nice to see the steam train go by throughout the day, and it is also where you access the water park.

The only thing that I could say negatively about the facilities is that there is a mini fridge in the rooms, but we didn't realise how mini it was. It is really quite tiny and we could only fit in one bottle at an angle. We had hoped to be able to keep our drink bottles cold but it really wasn't that useful in the end being so small.

The hosts Graham and Lesley are both really lovely people, and are willing to help with any requests. The family room we stayed in is beautifully decorated, very spacious with double bed and two singles, a large wardrobe with plenty of hangers , deluxe coffee maker , water and biscuits provided, there is also a nice shower/ toilet room, great shower 👍 with toiletries. Breakfast was excellent and plenty of choice. There is also a rather nice bar area. The guest house is perfectly located for both the beach and the town, with lots of restaurants nearby. We had a wonderful stay, and hope to stay again.

-the hosts and b&b owners, Graham and Lesley, are such lovely people ! Very warm, welcoming , funny , accommodating and helpful. The moment I arrived I was offered a cup of tea by Graham - these little touches really make the difference. -the bar is great and very reasonably priced -there is a good choice of breakfasts and it's tasty and filling -the shower is excellent -the TV works -its clean -its just one road off the seafront. Very well connected for all of Torbay, either by foot, car or public transport

-there is zero criticism to give. I would definitely recommend. To be very very picky, I usually don't book hotels on main roads as I find them too noisy to sleep, but this wasn't too bad. The single room for one person is on the front of the property so if you're a light sleeper I'd consider this.

If we had to nit pick then : The sausages were not the best, skin a little tough, seemed more vegan than meaty. A Small detail missed ie: main room fan dusty.

Ambassador guest house is excellent in every way. The room we had was beautiful, really comfy bed, there was plenty of tea and coffee facilities even a coffee pod machine and fridge replenished everyday with juice, milk and cola.. Breakfast was freshly cooked and very good quality. Lots of choices, fresh fruit and yogurt, full English, and continental options. The location is perfect for the bus and train stations, also lots of eateries within close walking distance. I could go on and on about how great our stay was. Very good value for money. The hosts very friendly and helpful.

Nothing to dislike

I had a beautiful clean room with en suite The room is well-appointed and has everything one could need. The Wi-Fi is strong and there is a vacant electric socket for charging. Breakfast is perfect with lots of healthy choices. The owner is pleasant, approachable and experienced in hotel management. Parking is available and the hotel is in a quiet but central location.

I liked everything. The hotel is maintained to the highest standards. There is nothing to fault with this hotel.

Met by friendly owners with a cup of coffee while they took my bag to my room. The room was lovely and had the added bonus of a coffee machine, oh the joys of hot chocolate in the evening. I had a cooked breakfast the first morning which was lovely but on the second day I had fruit salad which was exceptional, a proper fresh fruit salad. It is only a short walk to the shops and beach, even me with a mobility problem can manage it. There is nothing I can fault about this place and as long as my son stays in the area then I will continue to visit.

Where to start with this wonderful guest house. The other reviews couldn't be more right! I was given the warmest of welcomes into Paignton by Lesley. I was shown to the cosiest of rooms that was so clean and had everything i needed down to the smallest details thought through. Both Lesley and Graham are FANTASTIC hosts. The room had everything and more i could ask for and even a great coffee machine and mini fridge for the milk too. The breakfast was consistently fantastic every morning, and my whole stay was just so wonderful. I have already recommended this guest house to all my friends and family who are planning to visit Devon. Such great value for money. I will definitely be booking again ❤️ I was happy with everything. I had 5 very comfortable nights and 6 wonderful mornings here!

Very clean, comfortable and the room was well equipped. The proprietors well very helpful and friendly and offered a first class breakfast. Great location, just 5 minutes from the railway & bus stations and a couple of minutes walk from the sea-front and harbour. Plenty of bars and eating places nearby. Would stay again without hesitation.
