The couple who own/run it were very friendly and couldn't have made us feel more at home helped carry suitcases up stairs and even made a bacon sandwich for my husbands breakfast to eat in our room .The room was a good size and decorated/furnished nicely.Nice en suite too.The breakfast was tasty and good value for money.The hotel has parking too.The location was great close to beach,pier,pubs,coffee shops,gift shops and amusement arcades.Myself,my husband and 17 year old daughter stayed in the family room and my brother in law had a single room.We are booked to stay again in August.

Nothing to complain about!

How friendly the hosts were. Great location. Had everything we needed in the room and they told us if we need anything else then just ask for it. Breakfast was nice and freshly cooked. Would stay here again.

Apart from the weather and flooded carpark which couldn't be helped. This isn't the host's fault. I didn't like that the fire alarm went off which also didn't help as took me ages to get back to sleep. As its a set breakfast and for someone that doesn't like mushrooms and tomatoes it would have been nice to be offered something in their place. Would have loved to have hash browns or extra bacon.

Everything! The family who own this hotel were amazing, couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating. Made our 5 year old very welcome Will definitely be returning to this hotel. We booked for a long weekend and on the first night needed late check in 11pm which was made easy by this family who stayed up to check us in! Breakfast was easy and didn’t have to wait. Very attentive 10/10 for us and we will stay at the hotel for every weekend we have away in this location

A great friendly welcome from Ram and Subhu, there was nothing too much for this lovely couple. We stayed in a superior room, which my fussy teenagers were really impressed by and so was I, we can honestly say we've never slept in a comfier bed away from home! Wifi was great (and essential for the teenagers). The shower was great too. A superb location as it is central so only a few minutes walk to the beach and local attractions, however that does mean a little local noise at night is to be expected, especially given that we went in high season. There is also ample free parking which is an awesome bonus. Genuinely I would highly recommend a stay at Berry Hotel and will certainly be returning in the very near future.

Honestly not much to complain about, my only very small issue, that cannot really be controlled is the local noise at night, but as stated previously this should be expected of any central hotel spot in high season!!

The bed was comfortable, the room was a good size. The stairs to the bathroom have to be thought through when you use them, but as long as you have awareness they are there then your not likely to take a fall. Briefly met the couple who owned the property, they were friendly and helpful. The price for our stay was very good for everything offered to us including breakfast which we didn't have on account of getting up late! Thank you to the property owners.

All were fine, no concerns

As a single traveller, everything was great. Having been here before I knew what to expect. Welcoming staff, comfy room, nice breakfast. A key to the front door was useful.

If I had to find something that wasn't great, I would have to say that, as somebody who is 6ft tall, a 6ft bed is ok but not the best. Also the shower cubicle was a little snug.

Was convenient with being close to the sea front, shops, restaurants and if you wanted to go on the steam trains it was just up the road. And the proprietary was very helpful due to my son carrying insulin they stored in the fridge and for our return home they gave us ice so we could keep the insulin chilled for the journey home.

Would have been nice to have decaf coffee in the room. And apart from that nothing else all was excellent.

Comfortable bed, lovely shower, television, kettle, tea, coffee in the room. Lovely cooked breakfast. Nice welcome on arrival and very kind staff.

The room was too warm, but a fan was provided. There was a lot of noise going on from outside my window. There needs to be a handrail fixed to the wall, alongside the stairs, as nothing to hold onto and I felt unsafe.

Great location. On site parking ,( on grass)for about 8 cars, though if it's been raining heavily ( mainly in winter), this becomes a bit water logged. 2 minutes walk to town centre, beach, railway station etc. Room spotless, and has a very comfortable bed, excellent shower. I've stopped here several times in the past, and this is my favorite in the area.

Nothing really

The staff were exceptionally friendly, providing a worm greeting upon arrival. The room was clean and exactly as expected. Finally, the breakfast was cooked to order meaning it was hot and fresh, and the staff catered to individual requests.

The hotel is a little care-worn in places - it's not dirty at all, just some of the decor could do with a refresh. Also, some of the halls not in use for guests, were stacked with boxes and items that probably were either waiting to be pout into storage, or were waiting to be disposed of. It didn't bother me, but I could see some people complaining about things like this.
