We had a really enjoyable stay at the Torbay Court Hotel. The location is spot on—just a short walk from the beach and all local amenities, which made it a great base for exploring Paignton and the surrounding area. From the moment we arrived, Steve and the team were welcoming, helpful, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Entertainment was provided on the evening of our arrival by a DJ, which added a great vibe to the evening and made for a fun start to the trip. Breakfast was tasty with a decent selection, and the staff were always friendly. A special shout-out to Steve, who was fantastic throughout—nothing was too much trouble. All in all, a warm and pleasant stay. Would happily return and definitely recommend to others!

No negatives to comment on. I would visit and stay here again. I ended up booking this hotel whilst leaving another due to the previous being in a terrible state and it being missold in this site.

The twin room we had ,was on the ground floor. It was quite large.....we were lucky though , as we HAD booked a double room., But that was so small ....just enough for a single really. , fortunately the receptionist took pity on us and gave us the roomy twin room on The ground floor.......--------The hotel was quiet. Didnt have breakfast though...expensive anyway ( there was a nice wetherspoons in Torquay !)......T.V. In our room wasnt good , dodgey reception , we didnt report it though ....so cant really moan about that. But staff were friendly and always on hand to help...we should have booked direct ,rather than though an agent. Might have got it cheaper.

We booked a double room. It was tiny though. Just really enough for a single. Fortunately the receptionist took pity on us and gave us a twin room on the ground floor........which was larger. The mattress had to be changed though....it was very worn ---but the staff were happy to do it ,and the replacement mattress was fine..........parking -there are only about 10 spaces ...which was fine most of the time ,untill the hotel got busy for the weekend, then we had to hunt a space in town -which isnt easy........like all councils ,torbay council rips motorists off at every opportunity , so we only found 'pay to park ' spaces.

The property is in a quiet but convenient location. Parking is free, all facilities are very clean and there is plenty of hot water. Housekeeping is good and staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was good but there was very little choice. We had a standard double room. The bed was a small double and not particularly comfortable. As there were very few other guests at that time the restaurant and bar were not open when we arrived.

Excellent tucked away hotel which is a five minute walk from the seafront. Very quiet. Very friendly staff both in the reception and the restaurant. The room was excellent and very comfortably accommodated me and my little dog. First time at this hotel and will gladly stay again. The breakfast was excellent. Overall, cosy, just right. I enjoyed my stay. Five stars.

Good location near to all amenities, staff were good especially Steve had a good chat with him l ask for a fan i got it nothing too much trouble.

In my room I noticed cobweb near the bathroom window obviously been missed when cleaning the bed was down on its springs made it bit uncomfortable.

Very handy to the sea front. Host was lovely and great breakfast. The reception and eating area was all nice.

We had a down stairs room because of my disability. The room was so old and not very pleasant. Plus not clean, Shower needed a good clean inside and out. Needs an up grade badly.

Nice Modern bathroom but shower grouting needed cleaning, so let it down. Part of room missed the duster No yougurt, granola or pastries at breakfast - but we were last guest there & appreciate bugets

Great price! Free parking on site, first come first served. Gentleman on reception was really friendly and helpful. The room was basic but had everything you could need. Great location for our purposes, and a restful night's sleep.

The mattress wasn't very comfortable, but for such a reasonable price I didn't mind! Lovely pillows made up for it :)

After reading some of the reviews for this hotel I was a bit apprehensive, however I am delighted to say that it seems the majority of negative reviews are either malicious, Ilinformed or downright baseless. The staff were lovely and courteous. The room was exceptionally clean. Unfortunately we didn't get to try the food.

The lift is nowhere near adequate size for anyone with a pushchair or a sizable wheelchair, however there is very little that can be done to remedy that and the walls are quite thin as we could hear the music from the bar, however it stops at a reasonable time 22.30 which is not late.
