Breakfast was good with a very efficient service by the staff. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Room was clean as was the bathroom.

The shower in my room had no water pressure, and was barely a trickle. Being on the top floor you do not expect a lot of flow, but this was not enough to have a shower. This was strange as the wash basin taps worked fine.

Very friendly staff. The room was very well presented and well laid out. The bathroom was also a decent size. I found it just right for a solo visitor. Breakfast was fine, with very attentive staff. Ideal location, not far from the railway station and local shops. A few minutes walking distance to the sea front.

The hotel was comfortable, just a bit tired around the edges, chipped paintwork, bit of grime around edges of shower. Broken blinds in the room. But overall clean. Lift needs updating but it's good to have as my husband had his foot in a cast so helped him get upstairs. Staff were friendly. Main issue was price of drinks in the bar. The first night they seemed reasonable but 2nd night the prices seemed expensive. £9.60 for a double barcardi with no coke. We queried it and told it was correct and the guy on the previous night might have done a special. Bar wasn't always manned as the young barman kept going to play pool with another colleague. Location is great with parking a bonus.

We came down to Paignton, stayed at the Queens 14 of us! Bar staff, amazing. The lady who entertained us on Friday, absolutely brilliant! What a voice! Very welcoming. Our whole crowd met up in the bar on the Saturday before we went to The Torbay Inn to see friends and celebrate our friends birthday. And it was great. Very clean rooms, as always.

The breakfast! For the money, no! You can just stroll down the road two minutes for a big, hearty £7 breakfast at Wetherspoons. The breakfast at the Queens is hugely disappointing for basically a tenner, do not upgrade! It was a corner of fried bread, a tiny spoon of tinned mushrooms, gross, a small spoon of scrambled eggs, the tiniest bit of fried tom's, one small sausage and rasher of bacon, and a small spoon of beans. Oh, and one bit of toast each. And waited an age for it. Hotel, great, breakfast, no.

Friendly reception staff. The pool. Comfy bed Hot shower Atmosphere WiFi I enjoyed my short stay at The Queens Hotel, I could park there, always a must for me as I like to leave the car and go exploring I could use the pool which was a good size and was warm. I felt safe as I was on my own, and the Hotel was well kept and organised.

I was disappointed with the full English breakfast on my first morning 😒 to be honest, it was small and really didn't look very cared about, I was given excessive butter with extra toast when i asked for more, (a silly uncaring gesture for 1 person) So after deliberating if it was going to be the same the next morning I chose porridge, toast and croissant which was much better 🙂 lovely big croissant, honey with the porridge and jam this time with the toast.

Got an upgrade from a single room to a triple (double + single bed), it had a mini bath that was ideal for me.

The evenings entertainment. The singer absolutely murdered some classic songs, especially The Carpenter's and Abba. The Magician well, he said that he was on some 70/80s show, so was his act. This Thank goodness I had my headphones but I unfortunately could STILL HEAR IT. The retired people liked it. I only went down for drinks and to do some writing, so I'm not really bothered about it.

The location is excellent, there was entertainment in the evening, the hotel is reasonably well maintained

The breakfast was adequate, but a buffet table for things like juice or cereals would be better. I found the eggs small and the sausages tasteless. The bacon was a little undercooked once or twice. I found the shower almost impossible to work out how to use it, my friends had the same problem in their room. It wasn't until the last day I was able to spot the almost nonexistent marks for hot and cold. They were so indistinct

Friendly welcome on registering car for parking on arrival earlier than check in which was a bonus. Staff friendly and smiley on check in. Rooms clean and well stocked for tea and coffee which was needed after a long day walking. Shower was newly refurbished, with lots of hot water and ensuite spacious for a single room. Beautiful soft, new towels, lovely quality toilet paper, with lots of shower gel and soap at basin. Room aired nicely with window open, but warmed up quickly on turning on radiator after closing window. Evening entertainment was a singer and comedian and highly amusing as well as quite professional voice. Comfortable bed with two pillows of differing thickness ensured a good nights sleep. Huge variety of breakfast available and table service quick and efficient in two sittings. Would certainly use again for another stay.

Intend to use the swimming pool next time as forgot my gear this visit. Looked lovely and suitably warm water.

The location was great just being a short walk from the train and bus station. It was also near the beach and pier. The staff were very friendly. Beds were very comfy.

The hotel room was small and plug sockets were not that easily accessible, but we managed. The shower door did not close and the whole hotel needed upgrading. The walls and woodwork were in poor condition with paint peeling off and damp patches in areas. As we were only there for two nights and only needed somewhere to sleep we put up with it.

Great location, lovely food, extremely friendly and helpful staff, especially the younger lad on reception on Monday and Tuesday. Credit to the team!

We had to swap rooms during our stay as they didn’t have the same room free for the duration of our stay. Was advised we were being ‘upgraded’ on the phone , but when we moved rooms, the room we went into was right next to the lift meaning we could hear it late into the night and the room and decor was in need of a little TLC. I noticed some repairs were done while we were out for the day, but the only upgrade we could see was the double bed. Saying that it didn’t take away from our stay, as our initial impressions remained. We will definitely stay again!
