The accommodation was immaculately clean and very comfortable. A huge bonus was the beautifully landscaped, tranquil pond next to our cabin, where we could enjoy watching the koi carp and goldfish swimming and the peaceful evenings. All the mod cons in the kitchen, a comfy bed and modern bathroom. There is also a nice guestbook that is filled with suggestions for things to do in the area and beyond. They have pretty much though of everything and available for any questions you may have.

The Wifi was a little temperamental, but not really an issue for us as we weren't relying on it much. It was much nicer to spend the evening looking up at the stars and listening to sounds of nature.

Location was perfect as we needed to stay over after a local event in the day, and it was quiet (well back from the road). Nicely appointed apartment with company but beautiful bathroom (nice shower) and a comfortable bed. The reclining armchairs wee so good I fell asleep in mine. And John and Jackie were very helpful.

We were able to connect to the Wi-fi router with no problems but the speed was so slow that we were not able to do anything with it, but we were both so tired after the event that it didn't matter.

Ideally placed in the countryside near the hsitoric and well appointed town of Rye. The name Pondview describes the accommodation perfectly where the carp gulped lazily at the surface and the morning sun lit the rooms with a warm glow. The path from the parking bay had a delightfully colourful flower border and arriving at the gated entrance we found a welcome sign with my name, a very nice personal touch from our friendly and attentive hosts.

Absolutely spotless and very well appointed self catering. Had everything we needed, and more. The living room was really comfortably furnished and the view of the pond, even with the rain throughout our stay, was beautiful.

The bed matress was quite noisy and while the furniture was beautiful in the bedroom, the foot board at the end of the bed can cause an injury when walking in the dark in a unfamiliar room to the bathroom at night.

An absolutely stunning location! Easy to find and park (although limited parking but we had no issues!), the lodge was so clean, so spacious and very well decorated. The bed was comfortable, there were amenities on arrival which were appreciated and the hosts were lovely! The view out to the pond is lovely also and there is a nice seating area which had the weather been better we probably would have used! Great location to get to Cherry Barn which we did for a wedding.

Nothing - everything was great!

Hooray finally a place to stay that has decent lighting so you can actually see your stuff. Very clean and functional with loads of room in pond view- very nice! Welcoming place and relaxing where everything is carefully provided for you. You get looked after even biscuits and milk on arrival just so you are looked after.

John and Jane are excellent hosts. They are available if you need anything and happy to help. The lodge and gardens are superb. The only gripe is the noise from the road. We wanted to chill in the mornings and the noise from the cars was annoying. However the road was much quieter at night and was not an issue for sleeping even though we had the bedroom windows open

Fantastic, peaceful location, just a few miles from Rye. Everything we could have needed was available in the room, kitchen area, sitting and eating areas, lovely farm house style split door which we could leave open when we were in the room and feel connected with nature.

Nothing to dislike

Staff were extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful! Great location for the local wedding venue. Gorgeous little set up by the lake, peaceful spot, would recommend.

Only draw back was that I was too tall for the bed. Had a railing at the foot so I couldn't lie straight. (I'm 6.1" for reference)

Despite the place being on a main road, it was wonderfully quite. Beautiful gardens and pond right next to our accommodation. The lodge was immaculately clean and tidy, with perfect facilities for our short stay, and undoubtedly for even a long one. We felt very welcomed by the owners, who were happy to give us the grand tour and see to our needs. Even though we hadn't brought a car, it was handy to know that there was a space available for us if we needed. A a lovely stroll to too far from a wedding venue that we had plans for, perfect for great weather and walkers such as myself. We would definitely stay again.
