Harriet was amazingly welcoming and made us feel so welcome when we arrived, really friendly and every morning so bright and cheerful, helpful and knowledgeable about area. Can't thank her enough for making us feel so welcome. Room was lovely size clean and everything we needed for a few days away. Will definitely be back and recommend to friends if ever going to Rye.

There wasn't anything not to like. Apart from our own personal preference of a choice of fruit and or yoghurt as well as toast and cereal for breakfast but that's as I said our personal preference as myself and my.friend I was with are not ones for a cooked breakfast everyday. Though the cooked breakfast was plenty if you wanted it and hot

Friendly welcome, good sized room with plenty of storage. Looked like had been refurbished recently, good walk in shower. Breakfast plentiful, preorder cooked the night before. Cereals/toast/OJ available as well. Our room was at the back of the annex and had a secure garden for dogs to roam in which is great. Highly recommend for a stay. Because of the campsite at the rear of the property, Fridge/Freezer/microwave and washing up facilities are also available and useful.

On a fairly busy road which can be noisy at night if you have the window open. (Internal glazing is there to keep the noise out if you are ok with the window closed).

Easy parking and easy to find …. Fabulously clean , spacious and well equipped room. The bed and pillows were super comfy . Tea coffee and biscuits supplied. Tasteful decor. Spotlessly clean and hoovered carpets which my feet sank Into. A fan was in the huge wardrobe thank god as I cannot sleep without one on ! The room was just sumptuous is how I could explain it. There was even a garden with benched tables to eat in the evening or to enjoy a drink in the privacy it the rooms. The breakfast was plentiful and cooked exactly how I like it. Although I’m sure if I wanted it cooked another way it wouldn’t have been an issue. The owners were delightful and helpful and really friendly and had a good eye for detail with books on the shelves to read or have , as I witnessed today and even down to the retro radio playing softly on the wooden dresser without it intruding its sound on the customers having just woken up and wanting to leisurely have their breakfast. A very well oiled machine that is no doubt down the owners working exceptionally hard behind the scenes of this very cosy and homely B& B. Fabulous !

Lovely spacious very clean room with super facilities for us and our dog. Masses of storage and surfaces to put things on. Tea/coffee tray. Great shower room with good shower and secure outdoor space for dogs. Plenty of parking. Harriet's cooked breakfast was great - grilled and no grease. Really nice little breakfast room in a former country Pub. Plenty information about the locality in the Information folder in our room. The printed Maps for walking the 50 mins into Rye through the unspoilt countryside through the sheep fields were super. The weather was glorious and made our evening walk feel like being in a Thomas Hardy novel. Very exotic. Rye is charmingly romantic with nice people and great restaurants. Many independent shops and great Microbrewery. Taxi back at night was only £10. Highly recommended!

Only slight minor drawback was the bed being a tad on the soft side for me, though this is only personal choice. Everything else exceeded expectations with good clean bedding. Our hostess couldn't have been friendlier, or more helpful. Lovely lady and a credit to the hospitality sector.

Comfortable room, nicely decorated . Wasn’t expecting a garden building room but it was very nice . Good location for Rye and beaches .nice tea tray . Great breakfast and friendly hosts . The bathroom mirror did have its own light .Very good value for money .

Our room was on a busy road . Personally I found the bathroom was too dark with dark grey flooring and dark walls. It might help if the main light had a brighter bulb in it instead of an energy efficient bulb . The shower temperature was difficult to regulate.

The breakfast was really yummy and prompt, greetings from the staff were friendly and they were very helpful. Room was very clean and in a good location, not far from Hastings and rye. Easy to find and had parking!

Honestly everything was really good! It is off a main road so can be a little nosy if ur not used to cars driving past occasionally in the night but they provided ear plugs which we found really useful! But t

Wonderful reception upon arrival - before my wife and I got out of the car, one of the owners was walking to greet us. She escorted us to our lodge and explained the room, the local area, and the amenities on offer. The room itself was in top-notch condition, there was ample parking, the breakfast - included in the price - was very generous. I will be staying here again when I next visit Rye for work.

I am a creature of comfort and I enjoy a long soak in a power shower. The lodge i was in did have a shower, but it's by no means a power shoer - that's the only fault in the room. Even then, the bathroom and facilities were outstanding, so this is me really reaching for a fault..

Everything. The hosts were just lovely and we had such a nice chat. Very friendly and welcoming. Couldn't have asked for a nicer welcome. Not only that but I was offered breakfast in bed for the following morning which was just a real treat for me. The room itself was so lovely and private and very very clean. Bed was very comfy, facilities were all perfect. The location was stunning and the local pub where I went to see a band with some friends was also superb. So I'm booking it again ASAP. It is now my own little retreat!

Spent 2 nights at the Hare and Hounds b&b and can not fault it 1 bit.The rooms went well beyond our expectations clean and spacious..The hosts couldn't be more helpful and the breakfasts choice were great.Theres a bus stop on the road which we used to go to Rye it has a app so you can time it perfectly .If ever in Rye will look at booking here. Especially if you don't want to be staying right in the town centre .Highly.recommend the Hare and Hounds

Harriet was incredibly accommodating to us and our needs. So friendly and polite! The B&B was clean, comfortable, and spacious! We loved every moment of our stay here! It came with breakfast included, which was hearty and fresh! When we visit Rye again for an overnighter, we will book this place again in a heartbeat!
