Hotel was great staff lovely and polite room clean tidy and my wife was not well and they were great yes I will be back

Rooms a little dated. The room was very hot, and although there was a fan in the room to help cool you down, the noise from the fan was as annoying as the heat so, unfortunately, I didn't have the best sleep, I think this Hotel would be absolutely 5 ☆☆☆☆☆ with a little money spent on the rooms decor and some new quiet fans are air con system, but the value for money was excellent as it was a very cheap alternative to some of the other hotels. Would I stay again ? Yes but would request a quieter fan, and definitely in cooler weather.

Location, cost was reasonable.

1.Shabby. 2. some fittings broken. 3. Shower didn't go high enough (though the pole did, it was held back by the hose (alright for anyone under 5'10" would be fine)).

Good value for money, safe location and within walking distance to town. Close to Bus and train stations. Staff was available and helpful if needed. Clean and comfortable bedroom and bathroom. Adequate bath supplies for 7 nights stay, solo. Tea kettle/tea supplied. I did not have breakfast, so I can't comment. I will be back again when I am in the area. Thank you

No dislikes, I stayed on the ground floor for 7 nights. It really was good value for price paid. There was some noise from road traffic (as room was near the street), but it did not prevent me from having a good night's rest.

the breakfast, though simple, was enjoyable & filling. there were also a good amount of options. the hot water in the shower / sink came instantly, which was really appreciated. the staff were really nice and helpful when needed.

the view from my window was a brick wall, which was a shame. there was barely any natural light making it in. my room was right next to the door to go downstairs, so there was often some noise from people chatting or passing by. it wasn't really a problem, but if you are sensitive to sounds, you will hear them very clearly. the wifi from my room was awful though, this would be my biggest complaint.

Breakfast was included and the buffet-style worked well. I did hear a lady ask for oat or soy milk but no one could find any. Hot water dispenser was an issue both mornings but the two ladies on duty did their best to rectify this/help resolve this. I believe the coffee dispenser had a fault and the hot water was affected a bit. Location near the Nene Valley Railway was ideal.

We booked to eat at the hotel Friday night and were told there was not enough staff to serve as the guy behind the bar had to do 10 check-ins, tend bar and -if we ate there- be the waiter as well. We ate elsewhere. There were no coat hangers in the room 46. We had a bit of trouble with our room key cards suddenly failing to work, but that was sorted straight away.

Room was nice and big,beds were comfty,no iron in our room yet we had an ironing board🤷🏽‍♀️,so had to borrow friends as room had one.

Getting woken up at 9am on a sunday to what i think was a gospel group singing. No iron in our room Shower not powerful enough,no plugs next to bed to charge phone. Could do we new lick of paint,new curtains,as ours had cig burn in the bottom.

Travelled over from Ireland for family funeral and stayed here for 4 nights.Was met by a lovely lady when checking in.Room was ok.Very comfortable beds.The lad who served us in the bar was the friendliest you could want as a bar man.He was so nice and friendly to all my family.I'm sorry I didn't get his name.Hotel needs a bit of a lift and we came to know that it was getting a new manager that very weekend who had a lot of plans for the future.We all wish him well on his endeavors .We would definately recommend The Queensgate Hotel.It is also just a short walk to the city centre,or you can catch a bus in from just across the road near the Peacock bar.

Rooms a bit dreary.Housekeeping could be improved upon.Had to ask for anything we needed at bar.like milk tea bags etc.

The staff were extremely helpful both when emailed before arrival to hope for ground floor room and when there. Helping to room. With issues of my own making with the TV and even helping contact for taxi. Was comfortable and very good price. Breakfast the couple days had it was amazing and again staff helpful an always checking putting more out too. Location was close to a Shop, ATM and couple eating options that even me who cannot walk far as disabled was able to get what needed.

Not big things there was noise though thankfully during night not too bad as you can hear a lot of the going ons. The restraunt apart from breakfast was shut which was disappointing but ordering in was fine and there was a few options very close. Also signal in room (didn't notice in bar) was very low for calls but I just connected to the free WiFi when I noticed this and used instead so wasn't major deal.

Excellent staff, very friendly and couldn't be more helpful. Spacious room and bathroom. The pillows were great, as was the shower. Perfect local location with car park. Breakfast was extra and I hadn't included it on my booking, but it was not a problem when I asked to have it the next morning. A lovely help yourself buffet with lots of choice. Great value for money!

In a twin room, 1 bed was not very comfortable with a lumpy mattress, but the other bed was great. For the drink making facilities, the kettle didn't stay on without me holding it, and I didn't have a spoon to stir the drink. TV was only basic channels, not a smart TV.
