We really enjoyed our extended stay at the hotel. We stayed beyond the initial booking because a delay with our new home. The hotel staff were great, all of them without exception were friendly and helpful. A nice breakfast was included, and this was very good. I’ve seen several negative previous reviews, but ok, it’s a buffet, but theres a good choice of hot or cold, and you guests can help themselves to as much as they want, and many go beyond that! For a budget hotel it was excellent. And it was full for most of the two weeks of our stay, which isn’t surprising.

Only one complaint. The management should hire more staff! Those people worked like so hard and continued to smile when it was obvious that they were overworked. They are all a credit to their organization.

1st of all the service was impeccable everyone was very friendly very eager to help so that was great parking is free did not have to register the car, WiFi was free and included again did not have to request a password, we wanted ground floor rooms next to one another which we did receive so that was great, also breakfast was included decent variety of breakfast and the rooms were spacious clean and the beds were very comfortable. Due to be an ihg member we were able to check in on our earlier and then check out at 1pm. Overall the hotel looked very clean modern refurbished was impressed.

Original check-in time Was 3 P.M Which we felt Could have been better if it was a couple of hours earlier. The car park could have been A bit larger - was a little cramped especially when it's full, hard to manoeuvre the car slightly. The shower was decent But could have been stronger with more pressure And the breakfast Could have had a bit more Vegetarian varieties Such as more sides Like mushrooms and other vegetables. TV was of small size was expecting larger as in a medium or a large size also the USB charging cable on the bedside did not work so therefore had to charge the phone on the other side of the room which was a pain as I could not use or look at the phone whilst it was charging. Plus the lighting in the room could have been better it was a little dim

Easy hotel to get to, check in went well. Room was spotless and clean, very comfortable bed and good pillows…nice shampoo and hand soap.

Went down for breakfast at 9am to a disaster!! No tables available, eventually got one when other guests left. Had to clear away their mess before we could sit down. No coffee or hot chocolate as the machine broke down so decaf coffee was put out. Not enough coffee mugs out either. Guests waiting for clean cutlery, not enough food, no potato hash browns, little scrambled egg and a few pieces of bacon. No fresh juice available. It was just awful that we walked out!

We have stayed here at Christmas for many years , as it's convenient for visiting family in Kings Cliffe . This hotel has been consistently excellent . The management are friendly and welcoming ; the beds are very comfortable ; everywhere is clean ; the breakfast , including the hot food , is plentiful- love the croissants. As for the price - I doubt that you could get anywhere for better value . It's a long drive from our home near Bath but we'll continue to stay here for as long as we can manage the trip . Thank you !

There was nothing to dislike !

We had the best stay here, lovely warm and welcoming when entering the building, smooth check in, lovely decor our room was absolutely beautiful and clean with added extras that came in handy especially the hair dryer! The bed was so comfortable I was out like a light 😴 I haven't slept that good in so long! In the mornings we went down for breakfast and just WOW! such good variety and all so yummy! The staff were great and very welcoming, and hats off to the cleaners who do an absolutely astonishing job of cleaning the rooms, thank you so much holiday inn Peterborough for an amazing stay we will definitely be back! 😃

Strong weird smell in the bathroom Couldn't pay cash for a cold drink

Excellent price. Peterborough has two HI Exs, for some reason, and this one was half the price of the other. Can't see why.

I've stayed in 4 HI Exs in rapid succession, so I can't be sure if this was one with this problem, but in 2 out of 4 hotel, the BBC 1 HD channel had no sound. BBC 1 lo res was fine, as was BBC 2 HD. It was just the BBC 1 HD that was silent. Anyone else found this with Holiday Inn Express tellies? Or is it just me? Like I say, it affects a random few TVs, and probably most people don't notice or care (it's channel 101 if you'd like to try it out). #FirstWorldProblems

Clean, comfy room. Friendly staff at check in. Decent breakfast.

Room very warm, appreciate it was during a heatwave but so muggy despite having a fan and couldn't open windows during night as light just outside them attracted so many bugs. Also, didnt seem like enough staff at breakfast. Very busy time so things needed restocking but this didn't happen very quickly as only saw 1 staff member on the floor, they were doing their best though.

Staff really were very professional, courteous and attentive. Breakfast was great. Everything did what it "should" do so exceeded my expectations as was expecting there would be the odd niggle here and there and there wasn't. I was able to check-in very late yet feel welcomed, set off early and everything was smooth with breakfast and checking out. All staff in all areas were friendly, courteous and attentive.

It wasn't glamorous, it was functional.

The hotel was spotlessly clean, the staff were very helpful and cheerful. Inclusive breakfast.

I booked a disabled room for my wife, only to find that the disabled rooms were as far away as possible from reception and the dining area. Without unloading her mobility scooter, it was much too far. I switched to a normal room a few feet from reception. I could only see one disabled parking bay, which was always occupied. The breakfast was good, but since last year, they have stopped using branded jams and spreads. The substitutes were very cheap and unpleasant.

My room was lovely - modern and clean Breakfast looked lovely and varied, even vegan sausages! I unfortunately didn’t have time to eat any but took away some cereal and fruit.

Would have liked a bigger bar area/outside beer garden type thing for summer evenings. There isn’t really anywhere to sit outside for a drink etc in the warm weather. Would recommend booking a room facing away from carpark. A lot of vans work me up quite early turning engines on.
