The breakfast was okay. There were three of us, we all had cooked breakfast. We all had eggs done differently – I had fried egg, that was great, one of our party had scrambled which was okay, and the other person had poached which was like a hard boiled egg, so not great. The mushrooms were lovely, the tomato had only glanced at the frying pan and could have been cooked a bit more. There was a good selection offered – cereal, juice, toast and cooked breakfast. I had a veggie breakfast, but if you're a meat eater, on offer were sausages, bacon and black pudding.

A little more attention paid to the cooked eggs, in particular the scrambled and poached eggs.

The staff were excellent accommodating my late check in. My booking was easy and fuss free. The quality of the bed linen was very nice. Parking is right outside the door.

There was no where to hang clothes although there was a huge what appeared to be sliding iron wardrobe doors, I could not open them ? The route I had to take was through the countryside, very dark when you don’t know where you are going, I’d suggest you check it’s location. If you are not a confident driver. When you do reach nassington it’s a quaint village and worth the journey.

Very nice room with comfortable bed and good amenities. Very pretty, quiet village. Lovely old pub. Good breakfast and very friendly staff.

I thought it was quite expensive for the location but it was a very nice room and other places in the area were fully booked so probably fair enough pricing.

Staff were very friendly and the room was lovely with a great view of the river at the back which had plenty of swans. The food was fantastic as well. A nice little gem in the countryside.

Its just a shame that it's so far out the way but if you are passing through its worth a stay.

Great location, food and staff. Perfect for our family of six looking to break up a journey on the A1.

Few bits of cosmetic detailing could be improved - there's potential here for quite a bougie boutique hotel but for the price this could not be improved. Plumbing quite noisy.

Very nice location, pretty river at the bottom of the garden. Large, comfortable bedrooms. Nice breakfast in the comfortable dining room.

The pub restaurant wasn't open the night we stayed (a Monday), but the staff were very helpful and directed us to a very nice pub only 5 mins drive away.

Very comfy bed, nice breakfast, great location, friendly staff. Nice and quiet. I liked the chalet style rooms. Plenty of parking space.

The attached pub closed early, but other than that, everything was great.

A great place to stay - the staff were great from arrival and throughout the day. A lovely room and setting, overlooking the lake. Thanks so much - really enjoyed it. x
