The friendly and helpful staff. The comfortable room......facilities excellent.The hotel was very clean and easy to get around apart from not having any lifts.. Grounds at back of hotel we're very good. Restaurant light and airy. The reception area was astonishing with great furnishings. Loved all the pictures. Breakfast was really good.....cooked and continental. ....plentiful . Close to pretty villages and the lovely Rutland Water areas. Overall a very good warm hotel

The food was good but limited menu. Well cooked and presented so not a bad dislike There was nothing that I didn't like

First return visit since refurbishment. Professional upbeat welcome on arrival. Rooms are spacious here. The new look is very smart - Calm restful decor with a contemporary vibe. Bathroom - excellent shower. Generous towels. Look forward to returning and seeing the rest of the renovations. There is a bar style dinner menu however chose to eat elsewhere.

Breakfast - buffet style - poor quality, presentation and scrappy service.

I had to pick my jaw off the floor after a £4M renovation . It could easily knock the spots off any Malmaison or Hotel du Vin! We are thrilled for Corby which so deserves a hotel of this stature.

Absolutely nothing - fabulous transformation and fantastic front of house in Claire who is a real asset. We wish Voco all the success they deserve.

Spacious, clean and comfortable and a convenient location. Very quiet at the time of our visit. Good breakfast and very pleasant young lady to serve us.

Would have liked an evening meal before leaving for a show in town but nothing available at the time we would have eaten. We learnt later there was a bar menu but this was not mentioned at reception, perhaps that depended on the same chef? Two weeks on and I'll edit to add that they have not had the courtesy to answer my message regarding an item I believe I left behind.

This was my second stay at this hotel. Following on from a disturbed night with a very noisy wedding party last year I specifically requested a quiet room this time. The room allocated was in a quiet part of the hotel and I was not disturbed in the room overnight this time. The room as clean and well appointed, with a comfortable bed, and looked out over the back of the hotel with a rural view of garden and fields. The reception staff were excellent and the restaurant staff were doing their best despite appearing to be short staffed for the number of people in the hotel on Saturday evening (see below)

There was a very noisy party present on Saturday evening and they made dinner conversation a challenge. The staff did their best to keep them separate from the residents and the bar did close at 8 pm, after which time they all left. Drinks were still available from the bar staff. The restaurant lacks atmosphere and the menu could be a bit more imaginative, but adequate for a two night stay. It was obvious that there were not enough staff to deal with the large and very noisy party and serve the restaurant guests on the Saturday evening. It did improve after the large party left.

The hotel is being refurbished. Our room was one that had been completed and was very clean and nice. There is still construction going on, but, I think it'll be a really nice hotel once completed.

There isn't a lift, so if you have luggage like we did request the 1st floor, we had to carry our luggage up 2 flights of stairs!

Lisa was super helpful and accommodating. The suite was lovely with a superb bathroom; jacuzzi bath was a real treat!!

Small maintenance issues that could be easily addressed (window nettings were torn and badly stained). Door lock was a tricky and would benefit from a little attention. Balcony was lovely given the weather but could do with a once over from housekeeping.

The room was amazing. His Lordships. Reception and bar were really great staff. Air con and balcony great. Overall great stay Really hot and lovely breakfast

TV was up and down. Bbc1 no sound at all ever. Breakfast staff awful. 4 people stood around taking selfies. Told could only sit on one of 4 seats with the sun shining on them as the others all made up for dinner. Told they didn't expect anyone else for breakfast and it was 0900. No milk at the coffee machine. Order arrived wrong. Table never cleared was a mess. Noone at breakfast looked like they wanted to be there. Never a smile just doing the minimum they could get away with. Put a dampener on the whole stay. Won't be back.

Stayed here for 3 nights and we slept great! The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the temperature in the room was just perfect! The room itself was very big and had plenty of desk space which was handy. Breakfast was excellent - the hash browns and sausages were a particular favourite of ours - and there was a great selection of hot and cold options. Great value for money and surprised it was so quiet!

The fire alarm was a little sensitive and went off a couple of times during our stay albeit on different floors.

Easy to find, plenty of free parking. Easy check in, nice sized room and good shower. Very pleasant staff, had food in the bar nice range of choice. Had the Burger which was very tasty. Breakfast was very good,.One of the best I've had in hotels lately.

Room was a little on warm side, no controls but was a fan available but I kept window open as I was on the quiter Gardens side
