For a single room, the space was somewhat impressive. The bed was very comfortable. The booking was with breakfast included, which was decent.
The tea and coffee facilities within the room were poor, where the consumables were never replenished. As for the cup and saucer provided, disgusting. I had to clean the upturned cup and spoon due to coffee/tea stains. Having drank my first cup of coffee upon arrival, the following day after returning to my room, the cup had clearly been just rinsed and not cleaned. There were dried coffee stains still within the mug of which had just been turned back upside down. Long hair, which I don't have, was also an issue both in the shower and around the sink area.

Fantastic Hotel, far exceeded our expectations, knew it was going to be good by reading other reviews prior to booking. Phoned before arrival with a couple of questions, spoke to Alex who gave me exceptional service over the phone, so much so I added another night to our original 2 nights. The service received was from all.members of staff, second to none. Their knowledge of the area from bus times and things to see and do we thought they did as good a job as a Tourist Information Centre. Thank you all for an excellent stay with exceptional views from the room, which had very efficient AC and very clean and comfortable. Will be back. Mark and Karen Evans Pembrokeshire.

Good location for the ferry port. Very old building but nice modern bathroom. Water and kettle in the room. Secure parking was great.
Air was only blowing out hot air so turned it off. Room was hot so had to take the thick quilt off and just sleep under the cover. Bed was hard, just a sheet over a mattress, could do with a topper! The 2 cups were filthy, tea rim stain and lipstick stain. Didn't seen to have been washed at all. An ear ring was laying on the carpet so it also didn't look as if the room had been hoovered.

Location!! Across the road from Portsmouth Harbour railway station, ferry to Isle of Wight and the bus station. Approx. a five minute walk from the hotel was Gun Wharf outlet shopping precinct, perfect for anyone travelling by public transport.
Unfortunately, the lift was out of service for most of our three night stay. The staff very cheerfully took our cases downstairs on the day we left. The charming Georgian buildings appearance was spoilt by a dreadful sign advertising the restaurant that had come lose and was hanging in several places on the second floor balcony, and looked as if it had been for some time.

Excellent value for money. In a very good position in the city with access to everything we needed. We booked a standard double and that’s what we got. The room was clean and big enough, the bed linen was clean and cotton, the towels were huge, clean and cotton. Really that’s all we waned from this room. We did not pay for a fancy view or extra space so we did not expect to get them. The staff were amazing, they were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and it was good. It is an old building and it has old building quirks, yes it looks dated but it also has character. It met our needs on this occasion.
Maybe a better selection of soap/shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom but we managed

Excellent local, right opposite the train station and Shopping outlet and within walking distance of all of the attractions. The hotel was very clean and smelt lovely! The room was very clean with high quality bedding and towels. The bathroom was spotless. A comfy nights sleep as it was roasting hot but the air conditioning was extremely affective. The breakfast was of good quality. We ordered the vegetarian and meat options for cooked breakfast which were both lovely. The free parking space was very helpful. Exceptional value for money and certainly somewhere we’d come again.

Loved it. It ticked all the boxes. Loved the hotel position, accommodation and staff. Beds comfortable, big. Carpets nice to walk on, clean. Furniture dated very serviceable, fits in with the building. Bathroom enjoyed good shower. The fan worked well extracting the steam. We had a wonderful view. The warrior The hard hub for busses, ferry to Gosport, LoW train station. Close to Brittany Ferries etc Gunwharf quays shopping The Naval base and museums. Taxi stands. Bus station. Breakfasts really nice cooked to order. The restaurant really nice clean tidy attentive staff. Loved the chairs they were heavy and solid. Also coffee tea cereals fruit drinks fruits toast etc. Free car parking. (we were able to park the car and use all the transport options. All staff very helpful and assisted whenever, we saw them very friendly.

The staff were always friendly and helpful. The location was perfect, opposite the bus station and a few steps from the historic dockyard. Despite its location, it was very quiet. We come from a rural area, but we found it very restful and easy to sleep. The room was comfortable, and the bed was enormous. The private parking was such a bonus. There are hardly any vehicles in it during the week, but quite busy at the weekend. Spaces aren't very long, so they're a bit of a tight squeeze in a big van at weekends. There's ample public parking nearby. There's an onsite restaurant, but we only used it for breakfast. There's a vast selection of eating places nearby. I liked that there was a small table and stools in the room so you could eat in there if you wanted to. The room was clean. The bathroom was huge and clean. So much history to see on the doorstep. The restaurant is gorgeous, the nicest part of the hotel. The breakfast was good.
The tv signal is a bit dodgy, but we weren't bothered as we were too busy enjoying our holiday! The shower screen seal at the bottom needs cleaning. The carpet could do with cleaning. The duvet was a bit lumpy. The shower pressure is poor. We were on the top floor though.

The hotel location is excellent. It is across the road from the port, ferries, train, and Gunwharf Quay outlet mall with its activities, shops and restaurants. It is safe and secure with a private car park which is locked at night. The staff are very willing to please and nothing is too much trouble. I feel lucky to have read the reviews and trusted that this hotel would be a good choice for my visit. The hotel is not modern yet my room was newly refurbished, spacious, quiet and comfortable. It was spotlessly clean and the shower was huge. Towels are large and bedding is clean.
Absolutely nothing. I knew what to expect based on the reviews. The value for the price paid was exceptional, should be acknowledged and appreciated.

The location is unbeatable, opposite the train, ferry and bus stations and the Spinnaker Tower, near the historic dockyard, and with incredible views across the busy harbour. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, with good aircon (essential on hot nights in August) and large TV screen. The breakfast was excellent, served by friendly staff in an elegant restaurant.
The room could have done with more power sockets near the beds; some hooks in the bathroom; more shelves/surfaces for placing toiletries etc.
