We loved every bit of our stay at the Spring Garden Guest House! Special thanks to our lovely host Heather in the reception and breakfast room, who was so kind, helpful and warm 💛 You made us feel so welcome. And thank you for tipping us off about the Peppa Pig world, our boys loved it! Our room was super clean and cozy. It was great to be able to get the room fully dark during nightime with wooden shutters in the window as we often otherwise wake up really early with morning light if the windows have only regular blinders. Our sons also loved the bunk bed in the room! The hotel was easy to find and it has it's own parking place which was convenient for us. The continental breakfast was very nice with coffee, tea, juice, cerials, toast, croissants and jams etc. Also we found it super nice and thoughtful that the breakfast room had toys for kids! We will gladly come back if ever in the area again.

Beautiful old listed building with plenty of character , central to gosport high street , we only stayed one night. But we would definitely stay again , the Decor is a little oldy worldy but it’s an old building , it was clean and tidy , beautiful bed linen and xtra pillows and blankets if needed , we chatted to the lady than owns this property over breakfast in the morning. Plenty of variety of cerials breads and fruits ,and she was very attentive and accomadating we will defiantly be staying again in the summer and there was a customer car park at the rear which is always a bonus

We were greeted by a smiley friendly host, a lovely lady, and we had a little chat about the history of the place. The building/hotel is a bit dated, like going back in time, but our room was spotlessly clean, and the bed, pillows and duvet were all very comfy; we both had really good sleep. The power shower was clean and powerful enough for an enjoyable shower. We were allowed to use a little fridge in the staff room/kitchen, very helpful. There was a free parking space available for us at the back of the house. Breakfast was continental and there was plenty of everything to choose from; we very much enjoyed our food, hot drinks, and cheerful chat with our host and other guests. Thank you, we will be back when in Gosport.

No negatives.

This guesthouse is a Gem! Charming vintage style coupled with beautifully clean rooms with a good shower & a very comfortable bed. Host could not have been friendlier making me very welcome from the start. Breakfast was a very good selection of cereals, toast, croissants, fruits, pan au Chocolat & cereal bars. Given the very central & perfect location it was quiet & peaceful. A blissful stay & I shall return.

There was nothing To dislike.

The room was modern, clean and very comfortable. I had access to tea and coffee in my room and a tv. The bathroom was spacious and refreshing. I had a double bed which was very comfortable and I was able to have a great nights sleep. Breakfast was provided downstairs, cereal, toast, croissants, pain au chocolate, fruit, tea coffee. There isn't any point driving to the high street as it's very close (10mins). You can take a bus to the ferry which is only two stops and and once on the other side the train station and national express are both right there which for me was very helpful. Also free parking is provided. The hotel's location is ideal for moving around Portsmouth.

There wasn't anything that I didn't like.

A very homely relaxed feel. Caring staff who treated you more like family. Good location for walking into the centre of Gosport and ferry to Portsmouth.

The room was fine, although as an old listed house the windows were single glazed so some traffic noise. Also had to stand on a chair to open both the bedroom and bathroom windows.

I stayed here as I was doing a course locally. The staff were so helpful, friendly, and accommodating. The bed was so comfy. Lovely shower with plenty of hot water. Housekeeping daily. Very quiet at night time. It was a wonderful stay. Thank you for having me.

The bathroom ceiling needs painting.

For the money Spring Garden was absolutely lovely. It was beautifully clean, the bed linen was super fresh and it was a perfect base for my stay. The staff were friendly and I felt comfortable coming and going... A great little find

This is not a criticism as the room was excellent value for money. The only reason if I didn't give top scores in certain areas would just be to say that the TV signal was not good (ideally could do with a cheap smart TV and save spending on trying to sort signal issue) and the shower was a bit tricky to get to be the correct temperature, but as mentioned before this is no criticism as the room was great value for money

The staff were welcoming and friendly and we were made to feel very comfortable. The room was bright and airy and everything was beautifully clean and fresh. Breakfast was 'continental' but there was a huge choice of cereals, fresh fruit, meats, toast, croissants, certainly didn't go away hungry!

The only problem which we should have mentioned but forgot, was the shower. It was either so hot it could take your skin off or freezing cold and we were unable to find a happy medium.

I absolutely love this place. It’s a proper guest house where you are treated like a guest with comfy, quiet, well considered layouts in rooms. Staff are lively and bend over backwards to make you comfortable. I’m so hoppy that I have work in the area again soon knowing that I can stay here. Recommend.

It is dated
