We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The property is very comfortable and everything feels new and well-maintained. The rooms are clean and modern, and the overall atmosphere is relaxing. We were very happy with our experience and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!
We had a decent stay overall, but there were a couple of things that could be improved. The lights in the hallway weren’t working, also our room was close to the main road, so it was a little noisy at times. Noise-proof windows would really make a difference. That said, the room itself was comfortable, and with a few small upgrades, this could be a great place to stay!

The location was perfect for us as everything we wanted to do and see was only a short walk. The hotel itself is beautiful tyecrooms are really tastefully done and kept spotless.
The only disappointing thing about the hotel was the breakfast there wasn't really much choice the choice of continental was just a small choice of fruit, yogurt, boiled egg ,and pastry. The hot breakfast choice was either a bacon cob (batch, roll, bun)or sausage when I asked for a second cob I was told "you can have a second cob but it's £5.00 extra " I think considering the small choice of breakfast this was excessive,.

The hotel is excellently located, just a short distance from both the university and the seafront. Breakfast was pleasant, albeit somewhat limited for a four-star hotel, with a continental selection and a few cooked options. That said, the pastries were particularly good. The Wi-Fi was strong and reliable, and the staff were friendly. Soundproofing was generally effective, though we could occasionally hear our neighbours talking or their television. Our room was tastefully decorated and well-equipped but felt quite compact, with minimal floor space for a suitcase or easy movement. The bar downstairs has a wonderful atmosphere, and the hotel overall exudes a stylish, boutique charm.
Both the room and bathroom were immaculate, though we did notice some leftover party popper confetti on the shelf above our bed towards the end of our stay. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, though perhaps slightly overpriced.

The room was a little on the small side, but adequate, there was an issue with the bathroom door which very difficult to shut, and again to reopen. Breakfast was basic, but again adequate, the young lady who served us was very nice, and gave us good service. Access to & from the building was very easy, even after hours. The hotel is also a bar, but there wasn’t any residual noise upstairs. The rooms are all upstairs, so could be an issue for anyone with accessibility issues.
Nothing in the hotel, but the nearby parking was expensive, and we had to park around 100 m away.

The room was fantastic - the bed was exceptionally comfortable. The bar and restaurant facilities and the general decor are fantastic. The location for where we needed to be was perfect.
Our stay was to coincide with the Victorious Festival weekend. What we didn't know was the venue were providing a bar area out the front of the building with music playing loud from approximately 9:30am to approximately 7pm every day. As we had the room directly above this, there was no chance of any chill out time in the room between these times. This was our only gripe, and to be honest, if I would have known this, I would have booked elsewhere (as we do like a late lay-in and sometimes an afternoon chill in the room, which we tried to have on Saturday afternoon but couldn't because of the music)

Breakfast was good - fresh fruit selection with yogurt and cereals. Also various pastries and hot sausage/bacon/veggie sausage baps. Lovely decor, modern clean and comfortable. Nice bar and breakfast area. Nothing too much trouble for the staff. Great location for the beach and hovercraft, plus public transport.
Only the music in the bar area, mainly afternoon and evening, Ibiza style club music. Couldn’t hear this in the room though, just the bar.

Big comfy bed and clean room, proper shower. Friendly staff and convenient location to city centre and harbour. I slept well and had no issues. Liked the decor and the spacious room.
They should really give customers a bath mat/towel for the floor. It is ridiculous that they don’t knowing how wet the whole bathroom gets after shower. Breakfast was really not worth it especially for a vegan. Staff was friendly and tried but there wasn’t much than bread with margarin. I honestly think they should skip the breakfast entirely if they do not want to invest in it but maybe that’s just me. I was disappointed that I could not swim anywhere nearby but I should have investigated the area more so can’t fault the hotel. For me the location wasn’t ideal but I think for many it would be. Check in was only available at a specific hour and there is no way to store your luggage if someone isn’t around. Not a major issue just meant I had to wait a bit outside.

Breakfast was continental, but was offered a choice of bacon or sausage sandwich/bap. Generally a good selection. Room was comfortable. Good facilities, nice hot shower, huge TV, coffee/tea in room, comfy bed. I was facing the rear (room 3), which was quiet, it may be noisier at the front on a week day as its a busy road into town. Easy walk to old town and the historic harbour area, along with access to Southsea, the beach and D-Day museum. Good option for a short stay in the town if you want to avoid the major hotel chains!
There is no parking on site, while there is plenty of on street parking nearby, it's all metered and not cheap. Note there is a clean air zone covering central portsmouth, which is a worry when you drive in, but on investigation is seems this does not apply to private cars here, unlike other cities.

The location was brilliant. The rooms were clean and welcoming and they were very comfortable. Breakfast was nice the morning after and we sat outside in the sunshine with a great coffee and staff were helpful.
We arrived late and had to arrive round the back which was an alleyway type place by the bins, we had to ring the bell as we weren’t sent the code in time to ask to gain entrance to the room The only other issue was that the room was so hot, the air con wasn’t great and we ended up sleeping with all windows open which obviously on a main road made it quite noise in the early hours where people were going home after a night out.

The interior is very well decorated, everything looks high quality, attention paid to details. The bed was very large and comfortable, fitted with a huge TV if you’re looking to relax after a long day of exploring the city. Breakfast was lovely - either sausage or bacon bap for cooked breakfast or continental with plenty of fruit which we preferred. And great coffee. No noise from outside.
As some other guests have mentioned, the bathroom is a wet room, so not the best design of you’ve showered, get dressed and want to use the bathroom again. We stayed just for one night so had to use one of the towels on the floor afterwards… (to keep tights dry as well as because it was slippery). And unfortunately the beautiful floors do make a fair noise, I could hear the upstairs neighbours moving about quite late.. I’d still return but worth to note.
