Lovely area to stay in , nice walks and beautiful scenery. Staff was really friendly Breakfast was the best we've had 👍

Room was quite basic , dust in the bathroom , window had wood missing causing a breeze to enter our room.

A good choice provided, and the cooked breakfast was very good. Staff very friendly and helpful. Choice of evening meal was good and the food excellent.

The double bed was very “bouncy” and as my wife and I have single beds, we found the double bed to be a bit narrow for two. However we slept OK but woke each other up occasionally when turning over.

Hotel full of location style and clean with amaze front coast sea views and open public blissful cared for gardens opposite ,had the room on top floor with a lift so excellent , but due to age the ceilings run down, bathroom modern but shelf and light broken only thing let it down , room service cleaned, towels bright white with free quality products to use , the food lovely had s supper ordered and brought to my room ,fresh and tasty mmmm, the WiFi very good connect 👍

Shelf broken in bathroom and light over mirror , no glasses and my door stuck as think the damp swollen it and had to slam to to shut it to lock which felt bad to do cause of noise !! 😣

Lovely location, satisfactory stay. I didnt spend long at the hotel in truth as this was a visit to my family living nearby and there were too many of us to all stay with them. Staff were helpful, I've been before and can't complain.

The room I had this time was smaller than previous, but perfectly adequate as a solo traveller. The bathroom was small and getting into the shower (as a larger person in all dimensions!) a bit tricky as the sink overlapped with the door opening. Not enough storage space in the bathroom (a tiny thin glass shelf quite high up) and the shower itself had seen better days (broken storage where bottles could have gone, so bottles of toiletries had to be on the floor but the cubicle was only small so not easy to bend up and down to exchange shampoo for conditioner)

It is a lovely historical building, lots of lovely little details here and there, i appreciated that the guest manual had a sheet dedicated about the hotels history and background. Overall the set up is great - being able to come and go easily, the facilities excellent, the food immaculate (again compliments to the chefs!) - also all the staff i encountered were all lovely and very helpful.

If i was to be very picky - there were areas in the room i stayed in that were quite dusty. Also i think a new lick of paint would do the place a great service - outside and in the guest bed rooms.

We had a 40th wedding anniversary meal at the hotel, (18 of us) then most of us stayed overnight. The staff were lovely and allowed us time to put up decorations and they removed them all after the meal. They provided us with a reduced menu which helped with choices. The food was good and all brought out at the same time. One of our party had a fall outside and ended up going to hospital. The manager on duty was very helpful and calm and found us blankets while we waited for the ambulance. The staff put the tables together to allow us all to have breakfast together. My room was clean and the bed comfortable.

I’ve stayed here many times over several years as my family all live locally. The best features are location that match my family visiting needs. The bar and menu are good.

The wi-if is poor at best and far worse if you are on floor 2 or 3. Seems higher you go up the far weaker the wi-if g3ts. It’s a real deal breaker these days as we all rely too heavily on effective wi-if don’t we. Breakfast is adequate yet bacon is. Leary well earlier prepared and I no longer ask for bacon as it comes out well over cooked and lets down whole restaurant side as restaurant room is lovely

Single room was small but nice enough. Clean with a comfy bed, kettle and TV. On the top floor that was serviced with a lift. Nice food in the onsite pub with nice beers and service. Can't fault the breakfast or the service at all. Not to far from the beaches that made for a nice walk in the evening.

Understaffed. There was no one on reception when I arrived as the lady was working in the bar also so had a few mins wait. This was the case when I left. I wanted to report the TV not working properly but could not as there was no one around. I waited for a few mins but no one was available to speak to. The hotel does not have a car park. Parking is on street where you can find a spot.

Location was great with a nice walk along Stokes Bay within 2-3 blocks. Breakfast was good, with a traditional English breakfast. Other lighter options are available, all included with the room. Gets a little busy at 7:30-8 for business travelers. Other times are fine. We ended up staying in two different rooms. The larger room with kitchenette and king bed was significantly better. Stayed during the 80th remembrance of D-day where 80 years ago thousands of troops set off. Gosport is about an 8 minute drive and add an 8-minute ferry ride to Portsmouth Gunwharf. Both great destinations for food and shopping.

No air conditioning so it gets hot in warm weather but at least it stays mild near the water. Street parking is available but you may have to walk a block or two, as empty spots tend to be few and far between.

The professional reception customer service ( my arrival was out of hours and reception was being managed by the bar staff). My late evening meal of the slow cooked beef was simply outstanding! It was very enjoyable and highly recommended. My accommodation was spacious, clean, and the bedding comfy and inviting after a long day. Breakfast was equally enjoyable.

I wasn't mightily upset as I had a long day and wanted to change, shower and retire to bed but I noticed that the television was not functioning through the normal terrestrial channels. I was satisfied and watched the BBC news at 10pm.
