The room was incredibly clean. The maid came every day to make the beds (better than we did), clean the room, and they always topped up the tea and coffee supplies, which is something normally overlooked. There was the option to have towels cleaned every day if needed. The staff on the desk were exceptionally friendly (we live in London, so not used to such friendliness anywhere) .

Nothing to do with the hotel specifically. We had some guests near who allowed their child to continuously rattle our door, and some dubious smells in the hallway from their room. But in no way was this the hotels fault.

Everything beds were comfy plenty of tea,coffee,milk etc shower was good beds were comfy sockets by the bed friendly staff nice bar area lovely garden with sea view outside of hotel was a little shabby compared with others around & decor inside is a little outdated but who cares after all it is only a 2🌟 hotel Ok we did only book for the 1 night & we didnt have breakfast but we have no complaints & would definitely stay again all in all a lovely little cheap no frills hotel Hotel was quiet inside & outside apart from the room doors banging as were heavy self closing fire doors but if you held them whilst shutting them they didn't bang just wish other ppl did the same but thats not hotels fault & was mainly the ppl in the next room leaving door to slam luckily it wasn't really early morning or really late at night z

Just the USB sockets didnt work which was a shame

It was all superb...very comfortable and cosy and staff were great and made a lot of fuss of our 2 year old daughter. For a 2 star hotel it excelled itself and we would definitely return. Some people may comment that the hotel is old fashioned and perhaps needs modernising but everything worked and for the money you cannot complain. Could not fault the any of the food.

Nothing...only thing that could be considered is perhaps extending meal times...breakfast was 8-9am which is good if you like to get up and out, and dinner was 6.30 - 7pm which worked out well if you wanted to see the evening entertainment that started at 8pm.

It was a lovely hotel, very welcoming and I felt safe. My room was perfect for my requirements. Close to the beach, town centre, Theatre and the old Village. Bus stops nearby for local and island trips and not far from the train station There is evening entertainment several evenings a week, which I attended on my return from being out and about. Breakfast service was great and the staff were very friendly.

The only thing I would change is my bed mattress.

Location was really good, a short walk to the main high street. Parking for motorbikes was really good. Room was clean and had tea/coffee making facilities, plenty of towels and storage facilities. A little bit dated but the style of furniture or colour of the paint, carpet or fabric pattern doesn’t affect your stay does it. Really comfy bed and fab black out curtains. The breakfast was great value and plenty full. Overall very good but the excellent rating goes to all the staff who are so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble and no matter how much you harass them they help you with what you need with a big smile. Would definitely stay again. Thank you.

It could probably benefit from an upgrade with the decor.

Room was nice, bathroom very small but okay, loved the church bells ringing close by in evening! Staff were nice and service good, especially lady serving breakfast in morning. Breakfast was great and in a relaxing atmosphere, partially due to not so many other guests as off-peak period. Coffee was really great and lots of it at breakfast, I drank too much of it. Far better than all the fancy stuff sold at extortionate prices elsewhere! It has a lovely old-fashioned feel to it, this place. A wooden cubicle in the foyer for telephone that doesn't work, but a spectacle nonetheless! All round pleasant stay, and sadly too short.

A lot of places leave a spare blanket in the wardrobe in case guests need it. This is good practice, I think, but no blanket here! However, I found that I didn't really need one as the radiator worked efficiently. Could have been more hooks and ways of hanging things up in shower, as I kept dropping the shampoo etc. on floor and then stooping down in the confines of the very small shower to retrieve, shouting 'Oh, Fiddlesticks!' or something similar.

We were quite surprised about the price/quality for this hotel. It is very cheap and the room was comfortable, and the beds were good. The atmosphere of the room was not that great (felt a bit like a hospital room) but we had fun about it. No issue. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The bathroom had some forgotten parts with the cleaning. But in the end just a good hotel! The hotel is a bit dated, but that's something that makes it special at the same time.

It would be easy to find something. But for the price we payed, it is a budget hotel, with a very good quality. So I am not going to complain about anything.

The hotel was comfortable, breakfast was nice,staff in the dining room were very good. Had huge spider in the shower when we arrived. Lovely clean sheets and tea and coffee making facilities.

We were on the top floor, lots of stairs to climb,had I had known, I should've asked for lower floor as there were no lifts. When we arrived we had no towels, only one lady who was doing reception and the bar,all by herself. Didn't get any towels until we came back in from night out and then had to ask again, for the 3rd time. The 2nd time we asked, the lady said we had to pay for them!!.

Honestly value for money wise this hotel can't be beaten - £70 per night in the dummer holidays for 2 of us including a cooked breakfast. Great breakfast, hot shower, clean enough room with tea & coffee making facilities, loads of storage, clean towels daily, lovely staff, free parking, great location.

Hotel could deffo do with a lick of paint BUT that is irrelevant to enjoyment of our stay. Blip with putting us in an uncleaned room rectified within minutes. Bed/mattress not to my liking comfy wise. Rooms on the warm side but we brought chargeable hand fans.

Very comfy family room. Though not spacious, but has everything which is needed for a family with 2 children. Great sea view. The location is very comfortable, bus stop to explore the entire island is located just across the road. Haven’t tried the hotel restaurant but dinner menu has a good variety to choose from. There are many shops and restaurants close to the hotel. Hotel staff is very helpful. Live music in the bar was very nice.
