room was a bit small, on first floor we had twin beds but, we had to move beds around because my husband needed to put his sleep apnea machine near a electrical outlet. and somewhere to put the fan at night. we didn't know there were so many stairs! breakfast (brilliant!) room was in the basement room down another flight of stairs, but if you were disabled they arrange for you to eat in the upstairs lounge. location is great as the hotel is close to the beach level lift, great for us as we didn't have to move the car. owners & staff very helpful, ask about anything if they can help they will.

Super helpful and friendly staff, views where amazing, children made friends with the seagulls, food very yummy, very quiet, church bell practice on a Wednesday evening sounded beautiful from the near by church, good number of off road parking spaces,

My first night's sleep bed very uncomfortable, once I informed staff they sorted it straight away. Was given complimentary drinks. Then next two nights slept like a dream. Bunk beds seamed rather wobbly when the children moved. Youngest slept on top then we all had a very restful 2nd and 3rd night's sleep.

This is our fourth stay at Harrow Lodge Hotel - like the staff, rooms, breakfast, the bar, but specially the location - all excellent. Thanks to the management team for keeping up the consistency.

Nothing much but unfortunately in these days of mobile phones, iPads, battery packs etc, it would have been nice to have a few more plug sockets or maybe an extension strip with 4 outlets. Our socket was behind the bed in Room 15, in Room 17 the socket was on the side wall away from the twin beds keeping in mind mobile phones are also used as alarm clocks these days. All good though 🙂

Rooms are simple but both clean and comfortable and at a price you simply can’t argue with! The staff are the highlight of this hotel. They could not be more welcoming and friendly to you or your pets. Our dogs felt right at home immediately as did we! Beautiful breakfast, full English included or any times from a full English that you’d like. The poached eggs were delicious. A huge choice of cereal is available which you can help yourself to. There’s also a toast machine with various types of bread and there’s jam, marmalade and honey for your toast. Porridge, croissants, fresh fruit and yogurt available at request. Fabulous view from the front of the hotel.

Only thing I can say is the pressure on the shower is a bit of an issue, it’s very low so there’s only a trickle of water however in the grand scheme of things it’s easily forgotten! Lovely hotel we will definitely return to.

Breakfast was delicious. Had lots of options. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bar had good views across Shanklin bay. The road outside was closed due to land slip so Road was quiet hence bar was reasonable quiet . Room very hot but hey it’s summer did have a fan in room being on ground floor meant you couldn’t leave windows open over night. Comfy beds very clean . Lots of plug sockets and and not a cramped room.

Bathroom, though clean it was very small and small door to enter it at an angle. Not meaning to be rude but a large person might struggle in there. Toilet really close to sink . One other thing every time I went to open doors to wardrobe and drawers the handle rings came off they might need to tighten them .

Great location, just off the lift and close to transport links. Good views from the garden. The breakfast is great and there are many options, both cooked and healthier options. The rooms are clean and provide most things you need.

Overall, it was a great experience and I would return but water pressure was low, we had two beds instead of a double and the ventilation in the bathroom wasn’t perfect. That said, still a great place to stay in Shanklin.

We had a lovely time at the Harrow Lodge Hotel, the location is exceptional, the lovely people that work there are very welcoming, we had a good tip about which roads where safer to cycle on from the nice man at the bar. We had drinks and dinner outside, and I found the view breathtaking. The full english breakfast was delicious, we were welcomed by a lovely young lady. Everyone was very kind to us. We were allowed to keep our e-bikes safely inside the building, and we really appreciated it.

The carrots at dinner were clearly frozen, which can be ok if only they wouldn't have tasted like they have been.

Brilliant location, friendly, helpful staff, everywhere was immaculately clean and tidy. Breakfast was great with good veggie and lots of GF options too. The room was small, but had plenty of storage and was quiet.

The shower had very little power and took ages to get warm and the cubicle was tiny. I'm not huge, but I had to leave the door open whilst I showered, because the 1st time I burnt my bum on the hot water feed tap. We'd have asked to move but they were fully booked, but even when we looked in one of the bigger rooms it still had a small shower.

The hotel was in the perfect spot, parking right outside, easy access to the beach and town. The staff were brilliant, polite, kind, friendly and attentive. Rooms were comfy and clean. Breakfast was first class and the meals we ate in the evening were wonderful. A nice bar and a terrace overlooking the sea. Highly recommended and would definitely go back.

Breakfast was great and staff were lovely. Everywhere was clean and welcoming. Lovely view very close to hotel, with a nice walk down to the beach.

Shower was very weak and took a while to warm up. Very compact bathroom, but served the purpose. Room was very hot, on warmest weekend of the year! Tried sleeping with window open but very noisy birds at 4.30am. However, fan was available.
