Booking process and welcoming on arrival all very smooth and friendly. Staff were excellent. The location was superb.

A wider menu choice in particular for Vegans and Vegetarians would be welcome. I appreciate the challenges of an older property but every time the neighbours used the bathroom or put the extractor fan on we could hear it, given what a wonderfully quiet location the hotel is in, the internal disturbance at night and early morning was a bit disappointing - to be clear, the neighbours didn't make a noise, but the internal plumbing did!

A beautiful and relaxing place to stay. The staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming - such important attributes to ensure an enjoyable stay. The property is comfortable and we really enjoyed sitting in the garden, surrounded by trees, to take refreshments. Being so close to the National Trust’s Sheringham Park allows easy access to take walks as short or as long as wanted. We couldn’t fault the evening meal or the breakfast and the service was spot on. We shall definitely be returning!

Nothing!

Fantastic environment. Staff extremely pleasant. Food was excellent. A proper posh hotel with traditional standards and facilities. Glad of lift as I had forgotten to mention mobility issues. Nothing was too much trouble. Good wine list too. Will keep this on the coming back to list.

Very hot days so subsequently our upstairs room was quite warm - but understandably so. The TV hadn't worked initially - wasn't connected to aerial but easily resolved

Friendly staff and beautiful quiet location. The location is probably its greatest asset, that and the actual building. It’s light bright and has a lovely atmosphere. The food was also very good. I’d love to return.

The half term price was hefty. Too much. There could be some thought given to the interior eg a few plants on the gorgeous plant stands in the bar? Mirrors always improve everything. Outside some new furniture (or replace the well worn cushions. At the very least, wash them!).

Comfortable clean room within a lovely character property and beautiful gardens with terrace. Relaxing stay with friendly, helpful staff. The evening a la carte dinner was delicious.

Breakfast seemed rather slow service with not enough staff. Had to wait ages for toast on the first morning and portions seemed a little on the small size. Not a great choice at the buffet but the coffee was great and the service was very friendly.

Beautiful historic property with lovely grounds. Pleasant and helpful staff. Room was spacious with a lovely view into the gardens. Tv was a little small and in slightly awkward position for viewing. Breakfast had a good choice, we had the buffet without the full English , all fresh and tasty food on offer. Car parking good. Can take a walk into Sheringham if you don’t mind a 30 mins walk.

The room had been newly decorated and smelt of paint but we opened the window which helped.

The Hotel looked beautiful with lovely surroundings. The room was lovely and spacious, beds comfortable and the bathroom was luxurious! We only stayed the one night, so didn't have time to eat in the restaurant or walk around the gardens. I would definitely stay there again.

My only issue was that the room was not set up as two single beds as requested, but this was quickly remedied.

The location was fantastic, rooms were clean, the grounds were beautiful. The staff were very friendly and helpful and it was only a mile from Sheringham, where you had shops, eateries and the beach. There was also a steam train there that you could travel to Holt and back

There wasn't a fridge in the room as the weather was hot, you had nowhere to put drinks to chill. The Euros were on, and there was no TV to watch the games downstairs in the communal areas

The hotel was quiet, cozy and luxurious in beautiful grounds. The staff were very pleasant, friendly and helpful. Fantastic choice of breakfasts. We travelled in December and there were wood burners in the downstairs rooms and everywhere was decorated tastefully for Christmas. We were very well looked after.

I cannot think of anything I didn’t like about our stay.

We thought the menu was good and offered an excellent choice and value for money. We could of eaten everything. What we did eat was very good indeed, both in the restaurant and bar. The breakfast choice was great the kippers and scrambled egg was so good I had it twice

A minor thing, the breakfast was not included in the price an oversite on my behalf rather than there's.
