I’ve never stayed in such a clean B&B! It was spotless throughout. Crisp white bed linen and soft white towels provided. Excellent breakfast with selection of delicious home-made jams. Also served at the very respectable times of 8 or 9 am. Plenty of time for a lie-in! Hosts were attentive (and amusing)! The decor throughout was superb with odd quirky little touches. Will definitely be making a return visit at some point.

Not much to not like. Just for info, the property is on a main road which is busy during the day. However, after 5-6pm it quietens down massively as visitors to the beach who are not staying locally return to their accommodation. The town is noticeably quieter too in the early evening. If traffic noise had been a problem at night, sleeping may have been difficult but I didn’t find it so as the traffic had eased by then.

Everything about the property was lovely and Lucy and John were amazing hosts. John prepared fresh fruit salad every morning for breakfast which was delicious. The breakfast cereals were thoughtfully prepared along with the fully cooked English breakfast which was out of this world. Nothing was too much trouble. I was a solo traveler and Lucy gave me some great recommendations of places to visit, including an amazing Sri Lankan restaurant called ‘Bank’, which I really enjoyed. The interior of John and Lucy’s b+b was beautiful and tastefully decorated and I loved the eclectic art on the walls inspired by all the places they’d travelled to. There was a lovely welcoming feel to the place and it is amazingly clean and comfortable. I couldn’t praise this property highly enough. I loved it! It’s only 10 minutes walk away from the beach which I loved too. Thank you for a really lovely and memorable stay. I’ll be back!

The traffic on the main road was a little noisy at times, but the double glazing and the noise of the fan in the room definitely stopped me from hearing it and I got really good night’s sleeps!

Holway House was a delightful place to stay. From initial conversations with the owners to make arrangements (for late arrival) to the beautifully decorated & spotless house/room, to a wonderfully cooked and presented breakfast, home-made jams & marmalade + locally sourced ingredients (owners both Chefs) & friendly, kind & helpful service from John & Lucy (owners) - we could find no fault. Truly lovely owners and a wonderful B&B. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & would love to return. Highly recommend.

We have no complaints at all.

The Bed and breakfast is just outside the main busier part of town so it is located in a quiet location. The room was spacious with a few pieces of vintage furniture offering plenty of storage for a longer stay. The bed was comfortable with good pillows and duvet with added pull up cover for colder residents. The room even had a fan if required (excellent addition) The shower was good quality and simple to use. All aspects of the accomodation were really clean, pretty and well presented. There were some lovely touches with unusual art work throughout the house. Tea and coffee making facilities and fresh water were provided on a daily basis. The breakfast room was bright and airy and again had some lovely original features.The actual breakfast was of a very high standard offering wonderful chopped fruit and greek yogurt, cereals, granola. poached eggs, scrambled eggs, or a full English breakfast. John is a fully qualified chef and Lucy is just so warm, friendly and a wonderful hostess. Everything is very organised and thought out to cater for most guests needs. We arrived by cycle and had a great secure area in which to leave our bikes overnight without worry. They are very helpful with bus times, places of interest and know the best resturants to eat at. The following morning John kindly filled our bottles for our return journey home.

Location was great and quiet. Short walk to seafront and restaurants with available parking. The hosts, Lucy and John were very welcoming and knowledgeable about the local area. Breakfast was great with a good selection of cereals, fruit, yogurts, juices, home made jam and freshly prepared English breakfasts to order. The property has been modernised to a good standard with high standard of cleanliness. Good place to stay in Sheringham.

Nothing to dislike.

Lucy was an amazing host with an excellent sense of humour! The room was peaceful and well equipped and breakfast was absolutely amazing..with home made jams and local honey on the menu alongside a full cooked breakfast using local produce. The location is ideal for sheringham with just a short walk to the beach and all leisure amenities. Thanks, Lucy! I will be back!

There wasn't anything I didn't like! Everything was perfect. I managed to find parking outside but I can imagine that this is sometimes difficult for people if I am being picky!

Lovely clean bright room and very comfortable bed and good facilities. Breakfast was really delicious with excellent fruit salad, cooked breakfast and home made jams. The hosts couldn't have been more welcoming.

Only really the parking space for Holway House is a little tight to manoeuvre in so we parked on the street which was still doable even in high summer with a short walk.

John and Lucy were excellent hosts and genuinly friendly. They are also very experienced in the tourist sector, so their real competence blends well with their friendliness. The whole place is spotlessly clean, and they obviously see their guesthouse as a labour of love. John's expertly cooked breakfast gives you a great start to the day in a very warm and cosy breakfast room. And the quiet location is perfect, just a few minutes away from the centre of Sheringham and the steam railway. Good off-street parking available, too. John and Lucy have done wonders to totally refurbish this lovely old guesthouse since they took it on about 7 years ago, and they deserve their success.

The only thing we feel could be improved upon is the bed, as we personally like a softer bed. But this is partly down to our personal choice, as we have had the same problem in virtually every place we have stayed in! I suppose guesthouses have to get a reasonable balance with differing personal preferences, and I suppose we have been spoilt with our own specially chosen bed. I've often heard people say that there is nothing like your own bed! Apart from this, the facilities in the bedroom were superb and welcoming, with great attention to detail.

Holway house has such a friendly community vibe. The hosts are so attentive and welcoming, giving lots of local recommendations. The room was exceptionally clean and cosy. They made my breakfast to order each morning and were very accommodating. The location is beautiful, just a very short walk to the beach through lots of little shops, boutique shops cafes and excellent fish and chips.

Outside of their control but the road where the property is, is quite busy and noisy at times.

My friend & I were in Sheringham for the weekend & are so glad we booked to stay at Holway House! The owners Lucy & John are so kind and welcoming and made us feel right at home. Location was great, <5min walk from the train station and into town. Room was comfortable & the breakfast was the highlight! Full English, homemade jam and a delicious fruit salad. We had a lovely stay, thank you!
