Lovely atmosphere, great staff, our superior double upgraded room was excellent with a wide range of facilities and some nice touches… nespresso with sufficient coffee pods, Dyson hairdryer, Roberts radio... Dinner was very good at no more than pub prices and super friendly and helpful staff.

2 negatives... 1) The dining room was cold in the evening and my wife had to wear her coat throughout dinner! 2) The time it took for our cooked breakfast to arrive. In fact, we’re not sure how long, as after 45 mins, having chased them up after 30 mins, we had to leave without having breakfast. The breakfast room was pretty quiet and it was a simple order. That said, when we paid the bill, the cost of breakfast was deducted without question and with plenty of apologies so it wouldn’t put us off returning there at all. Everything else was excellent.

Wonderful selection for breakfast. Staff very pleasant. Bedroom absolutely superb. Restaurant, bar, terrace, lounge - all very comfortable. Evening meals slightly expensive but good food.

The evening meals were high quality, but for myself, were too large and too rich. I prefer plain food and smaller portions. I did make this known to the reception team a week prior to arrival, but the restaurant staff had not been informed. I was offered a very limited children's menu, but I would have preferred a menu for smaller appetites. The food was high quality if you have a large appetite.

there was a reasonable variety of food on the menu but we did think there was more choice last year. All food was cooked well and it was tasty.We had breakfast and dinner each day and we were happy with what was provided. Our room (on the top floor) was well appointed and we were not disappointed with any aspect of it,

Nothing really -- the menu could have had more choice but realise the cost of doing so would have meant higher prices. I was a bit disappointed with the sweet menu as I really enjoy a nice sweet, But it was certainly not poor enough to complain about

The staff were really great. So helpful and couldn’t do enough to make the stay memorable. We had an evening meal and breakfast both of which were very good.

This is a difficult one. We have stayed at this hotel a number of times because of the location, the atmosphere, cleanliness, staff and food. The only thing that we always mention is that in the rooms we have stayed in there are no views. The rooms we have been in look out onto hedgerows or a courtyard. I know it’s a little thing but it’s the only negative. However in saying that if you’ve had a day on the North Norfolk coast before you get to the hotel then you’ve had your fill of views for the day.

Welcome from staff they couldn’t have been more hospitable the whole time They gave us a card for our anniversary and wrote in chocolate on a plate happy anniversary . Room was very stuffy because it was hot No view just a bank Really needed a modern good fan Carpets on corridors look dirty and really time for a face lift . Wine a bit pricey Quite expensive for bed and breakfast when it doesn’t have any pool facilities

Rooms fine if you book Superiors. Comfortable bed, warm rooms.000 Breakfasts were good with a good selection. Staff are lovely and friendly. The positioning along the coast is good for west/east travel to local towns. Lovely surroundings in the hotel grounds and kept in immaculate condition.

Mains are not to our liking and always the same. But that is typical of most hotels and restaurants that you visit regularly. Hence it is not too often we eat there and search out local places to eat.

Lovely setting off the beaten track and good parking. Nice open feel inside.

Overhanging trees with cones can dent your cars. A point to mention if dining in the restaurant , having dined over several evenings was very disappointed to see young children running around and screaming even though they were not dining. The noise continued throughout the evening past 10.30pm. Not our idea of a relaxing evening with friends. The restaurant doors should have been shut to stop the intrusion by the children.. It spoilt the evening for all 8 of us.

The setting was beautiful and the hotel and grounds matched its setting The staff was very friendly The room was clean and spacious it was a nice touch to find the shortbread and truffles The complimentary shower gel etc were beautiful and like being in a spa The shower was of a good size and the controls were very effective It is a friendly environment sitting in the bar at the end of a busy day sight seeing

As vegetarians the breakfast was not the best mushrooms were cold and soggy. The sausage was like nothing I have ever seen before We felt for dinner there was not a good selection the menu was very meat / fish based The bedroom was beautiful but the pillows were flat and very uncomfortable I wasn’t aware the hotel was dog friendly and was a little put out to have my room situated next to barking dogs The doors to the rooms would benefit from a soft close hinge banging doors are not the best

The service was excellent and the staff were very attentive, friendly and very good at their jobs. We were only there for a couple of nights and the menu was the same each night. However, they did have “specials” which was good. The quality of the food was good, hot and professionally presented

The room temperature was good, however, it was quite warm in the night. Unfortunately we couldn’t open our windows as they were locked. It would be good to have a key available in the room. ( TBF we didn’t ask, but only realised or remembered when we needed to open them)

breakfast and dinners were outstandingly presented and service was excellent, The staff were very helpful and addressed everyone with courtesy every day and were always ready to help. The Hotel is located near a beautiful part of the Norfolk coastline a short distance away from areas of outstanding natural beauty and lovely villages. Recommended!!!

No complaints whatsoever .......apart that they did run out of Fish and Chips on the Menu. We were also aware that there were one or two technical issues with the kitchen that they managed very well
