Rooms were very clean, dinner staff were friendly, helpful and could not do enough. Spa was nice. Food was lovely.

Was a surprise for my daughters 40th. I did call the day before and told the lady on the phone but when we arrived the receptionist let the cat out of the bag by saying in front of my daughter that there were multiple rooms booked and the other guests were in the lounge which rather spoilt the surprise. More seating. We were a party of 10 and there was not enough seating around the outside pool. Also after our dinner we could not find enough seating for us all. Some had to stand or we could not have been together. None of the staff came forward to try and rectify either, so was a bit disappointed.

This is an attractive country house hotel, well placed for touring northern Kent. Its rooms and public areas are lovely, well maintained with an airy restaurant and a variety of small lounges for relaxing with a drink. It has a good spa and the outside areas are well maintained. And, subject to what I say below, the staff are friendly and attentive.

The hotel clearly, and justifiably, makes a good living out of weddings and events. However, perhaps for this reason, the restaurant is a little disappointing for a hotel of this standard. On our most recent visit the menu was brief and unexciting and service both at dinner and at breakfast left something to be desired. This was a shame as the hotel was in all other respects everything we could have wished.

Lovely breakfast, We had a fabulous room that they changed for us especially after I requested a room change due to a superstitious number my mum wouldn’t stay in. Reception so helpful and quickly sorted this out for us. The alternative room given was amazing and overlooked the gardens at the back with a beautiful view. The bathroom newly decorated. The spa was amazing and I loved the little jacuzzi/small swimming pool outside which was in an overly spot of the garden where you could look out and see various birds flying through trees. The place is spotless. The staff were all incredible, friendly and professional with just the right amount of attention.

The food served in the spa/menu was just ok and they didn’t do cream teas or cakes saying that these needed to be pre-ordered.

This was honestly the best weekend break my husband and I have had in a long time. The hotel, restaurant, and spa, all share the quintessential luxury that makes stays like this so relaxing and rejuvenating. The room was beautiful, the staff were friendly and helpful, the food was delicious, the wine was perfect and the spa could not have been better. It's my day job to find "issues" and the phenomenally high standard of service, quality, and attention to detail, meant I could thoroughly relax and enjoy my stay without going into "work mode." The beauty of the original building itself was so eye-catching and I would highly recommend a stay here to anyone wanting to unwind. A day and a night felt like a real holiday here.

The only slight difficulty we experienced, and it was very minor, was finding a suitable place to enjoy a cigar outside after dinner.

We loved the setting, the house itself is lovely and the spa being onsite is great, having a sauna, steam room, hot tub, hydro pool and a pool is great. It was very clean, welcoming and the breakfast was lovely. The bed was incredibly comfy too.

It would of been great if there was a way for those staying at the hotel to leave the spa in their robes and then go to their rooms to get showered etc. the changing rooms are small with others using them that aren’t staying and it felt like a disjointed part of the experience as we had to get out the spa, get dry and dressed, then go to the room to get undressed and shower/bath in our room rather than in the changing rooms.

Lovely hotel, the personnel was very kind and helpful, the room beautiful, I asked for a room accessible with elevator due to my mobility issue and they gave me a room on the side with elevator. The swimming pool with blue light is wonderful, they have also a jacuzzi and small sauna. We had dinner at the restaurant: the food is delicious and the service exceptional. There are many nice beautiful rooms where you can read a book or drink a tea, and the garden is beautiful.

Arriving at the hotel is bit challenging with public transport, there is a bus every hour. I reccomend going there by taxi or by car. I was there for a business conference. The conference room was lovely, I was only bit disappointed that water was not provided regularly during the meetings.

Room was lovely, clean and well appointed. Breakfast was exceptional and staff outstanding. Had treatment in spa and no complaints at all. Meals in restaurant very tasty and again excellent service. Staff all very friendly and happy to help. Spa and pool areas were great, showers all clean and plenty of products to use. Plenty of parking space, lovely outside areas to sit as well as lots of cosy, quiet areas in the hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

If we’re being picky there were few scuffs on bedroom wall but not an issue as were minimal.

The hotel is an beautiful setting, with a spacious and nicely landscaped car park. The public spacious are very well appointed, and the room was large and comfortable, if a bit 'twee' for our taste. Excellent bathroom, towels and toiletries. Breakfast was very good: we particulary enjoyed the smoked haddock. On the whole the staff were helpful and friendly.

Some of the staff at breakfast were very off-hand. There were not enough staff to cope with check-in and check-out. I was very disappointed with the spa. I checked out of my room, and had quite a struggle to find my way in to the spa and to get my day pass. The ladies' changing room was packed, boiling hot, steamy and unpleasant There were no free lockers at all, and the other users were being quite pushy and selfish. I therefore had nowhere to put my belongings, and, assessing that the rest of the facilities would be doubly busy ( ie, this was only the ladies' changing room) I decided to give up and leave. I think the hotel is overpriced if one cannot use the spa facilities. I would not recommend it for a weekend mini-break if it is usually this busy.

Hidden little gem. I found the staff to be friendly and professional through out my stay. Swimming pool was clean and decent. It had quiet and peaceful grounds/ gardens with lots of initmate spaces for relaxation.

No room service and the phones in my room wasn't working during my stay. Although they kept guests informed of the phone outage, I didn't know how to get an alternative means to communicate i required this kind of service.

This is our second visit for our wedding anniversary and it was absolutely perfect to celebrate. The staff made our room extra special to celebrate. The spar was just so beautiful and very relaxing and the staff in the spar area couldn't do enough for us. In 19 years me and my husband have never visited the same place twice but last year we had such a wonderful experience we new we had to book again for a long weekend and we are so pleased we did. Thank you for making our anniversary so special 💗 xxx

We would have liked to have new robes for the next day in the spar as our ones from the day before we're wet, but the staff did look for us but unfortunately couldn't get us some. However, not the end of the world, and we very much enjoyed our second day of the spar.
