Room size was lovely and spacious very comfy super king size bed and the staff was so polite and went above and beyond to make sure we had a nice stay. Great continental breakfast in the morning.

Five stars for the Eastchurch gem! From the moment we arrived, our experience at this Eastchurch hotel was exceptional. The receptionist was incredibly kind and accommodating, allowing us to check in early and even giving us a tour of the facilities. This immediately set a welcoming and positive tone for our stay. We opted for half board, and the food was a real highlight. Dinner was amazing! The carbonara pasta and BBQ chicken breast were both delicious – cooked perfectly and beautifully presented. The continental breakfast was also great, offering a good selection of fresh items to start the day. Beyond the excellent service and food, we also took advantage of the gym and sauna facilities, which were well-maintained and added a lovely touch to our stay. Overall, this hotel is a truly fantastic find. The friendly staff, delicious food, and great amenities make it a highly recommended place to stay. We will definitely be returning!

I didn't expect much for what I paid and on initial impression of the hotel. But honestly one of the nicest places I've stayed! I spend just over a third of a year in hotel rooms and my usual premier inn was fully booked this time so I chose the Shurland as the closest to my work venue and I'm so pleased I found them! I thought the bed was going to be too bouncy but was incredibly comfortable and I slept so well. Room was quiet with the window closed even though it was on a main road and it was clean, although a bit in need of maintenance. Food was amazing. I had the chicken and roast vegetables for dinner and classic for breakfast. Beautifully presented and very tasty and fresh, excellent. Overall loved my stay and will definitely stay there again when I'm on Sheppey!

We find the hotel comfortable, reliable and convenient for our purpose in visiting the island, which is to visit friends who live within a short drive of the hotel. The hotel is in the quiet, mostly residential area of Eastchurch (which is very quiet at night) a location we prefer to the typical 'seaside' style accommodation of the nearby Leysdown Beach. The manager is helpful, and did recognise us from our previous visits, and was welcoming.

There was nothing we did not like about the hotel. We did not use the gym or the spa but only because that is not required in the purpose of our visit.

We enjoyed our stay at The Shurland Hotel, where we have stayed on a previous occasion, the staff there are friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and comfotable, we had a good night's sleep every night, have no complaints at all and plan to make The Shurland our regular choice of accommodation for planned future visits to the island. With thanks to all the staff, we are looking forward to our next stay. One point worth mentioning: prior to our trip my wife was prescribed insulin as part of her diabetes treatment, a situation we were hitherto unfamiliar with - this made it necessary for us to ask for help from the hotel's staff in respect to storing her medicine at the correct temperature (as not all rooms have mini-fridges). The staff were happy to assist in this respect, storing her medicine safely in one of the hotel's refrigerators and made her medicine available whenever requested. We are thankful for their help in this regard.

There is NOTHING to dislike about The Shurland Hotel if you are a reasonable, sensible person who assesses the hotel for the type and grade of hotel it is and the range of services it offers. If you expect a five star 'Sheraton' or 'Hilton' experience you may be disappointed, so it is pointless and unfair to assess it on that level, but if you expect comfortable 'bed and breakfast' accomodation then The Shurland is well worth a visit. We have been there before and will stay there again.

We had a family party and the shurland was in walking distance

Better fan, shower was cold but weather was hot so not too much of a problem and we were staying just one night also could do with a mat as it is slippery in there . Maybe a more effective fan considering the heat as the room was very boxy but again for our needs the room was fine

Staff were really friendly, caring and accommodating, it felt more like home than a hotel. The Gym and Spa facilities were brilliant, we were there over Xmas so had the place to ourselves. The Xmas lunch was delicious and we will definitely be back again

Location was a village in the country side, it was quaint and quiet. The hotel was waiting for their Chef to arrive from holidays, so hopefully evening meals will be served in the future as it was difficult to get take away meals delivered.

The hotel far exceeded what I would expect for the price. The room was clean and spacious, and the staff went above and beyond at all times. The sauna and hot tub were lovely. I had an evening meal cooked by the Sri Lankan chef, so naturally I went for a Sri Lankan mutton curry and it was sensational! Really pleased all round.

The continental breakfast I had didn't taste super fresh. The gym changing rooms need some tlc.
