For the excellent price everything was great, basic served its purpose for a room to sleep in overnight. Reminded me of a motel rather than a hotel though.

Everything was great but unfortunately let down at breakfast, arrived at 9.30 as breakfast was until 10am, didn’t receive breakfast until 10.30. I really felt for the staff as I could already see they were constantly apologising that they were busy. Our delay was extra late because of a Veggie breakfast but it was on the menu. I’d recommend putting more chefs in the kitchen or move a buffet breakfast model like other hotels. I had my elderly mother-in-law in with us with dementia who could not understand the delay and walked out at one point.

Staff were all really friendly. There is plenty of parking and you are only a few minutes away from the beach. We also ate at the restaurant and the food was lovely, with a good range of drinks available at the bar.

Only minor criticism was it was regularly difficult to get the attention of the servers in the restaurant area, both for dinner and breakfast. They tended to stand facing the wall rather than the dining area, but great once you were able to get them over to your table.

The breakfast was great, service was absolutely fine, coffee could have been a tad warmer, but hay-hoe you can’t please everyone 🤪 My only disappointment was the room was a bit musty, but once in there, opened the windows and everything was fine.👍

The price of the alcohol, cost me an arm and a leg, 🤪😂 only joking, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, sadly it was to attend my brothers funeral, but my stay was enjoyable, thank you.

The rooms have everything you need. They are being refurbished and are extremely clean. The beds are comfortable and the pillows too. The room opened onto a garden which is beautiful with seating. The staff are an asset to the abbey. Nothing was to little and they are extremely kind and helpful. Customer service at its best. Food is amazing. We had a roast dinner and breakfast very morning. The entertainment was brilliant. I would and will be coming back soon. I will always choose this hotel when visiting that area again. Massive plus is that you park right outside your room.

It’s unlike anywhere we have ever stayed before. Ok it’s old school but it was great. The staff are so nice. We had a meal each there too, I am a big eater but the portion size defeated me. The food is great from dinner to breakfast. I think this might be the first time I have never complained in my head about any of the food because it was all cooked to absolute perfection. All of the staff are amazingly friendly.

We travelled to do the local parkrun which meant we wouldnt get back to hotel in time forbreakfast. Very helpful staff accomodated our late breakfast by arranging for us to pick up some breakfast rolls after the end of breakfast time. Location for perfect for us ten mins walk to the parkrun andcwe enjoyed the local beach which was a good swimming spot.

Only negative shower was small and wrak wstet pressure

It was very cold in the room when we arrived. 1 of the radiators was not working ,(2 in bedroom, 1 in hallway) so this took many hours to warm room up. It’s cold in the bathroom as only a towel heater in there. The kettle was thick with scale. Staff did replace kettle when we asked but other kettle was with scale to.

The peacefulness. Nice hot shower. Hospitality, when approached or when asking for facilities .free WiFi. Comfortable night sleep. The shower cap. I've never experienced having that in any hotel I've been in. THAT'S A BONUS.

Not having a separate sink to fill kettle for tea. Taking it from the bathroom sink is cross-contamination. That's a put off. The breakfast got cold quickly. I would have preferred a buffet. Fried bread made me heave. Egg, even though I said to be well done, the yoke was runny. I had to send it back. I think that's why my food returned like warm. They should have made it fresh. Otherwise, it would have been perfect.

Love, love, loved the place & people. Most welcoming from start to finish. Near seaside. Can't wait to go back! Thankyou to Dawn, Ajay whose names I know & breakfast/ reception yet again were great. Except I didn't wanna go...lol x

I have nothing to complain about! Lovely shout to Abbey hotel. Thankyou for great atmosphere, also your guests who you could chat to. Wether it be footy or grand national. Beer was great! X

The food was superb, excellent choice, great value for money and large portions. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was warm . Thecroom was clean and tidy.

I was in room 3 which looks out onto main road. As a female by herself I wasn't comfortable and didn't feel 100% safe. The walls were very thin and I could hear everything next door. The tv was awful, took ages to find a channel and was extremely slow. I think the remote was incorrect for the tv.
