The bedrooms were comfortable, breakfast was good (except it was missing the hashbrowns and black pudding for a complete english breakfast) good access to facilites

Staff didn’t show much attitude. They don’t explain things properly causing us to figure stuff out on our own and even when we say thank you they never say you’re welcome

It’s in a great location, and the hotel staff were lovely. Without prompt, they let us check in an hour early for free, due to having the availability of rooms. The bar is a bit pricey, where you’ll be paying ~£15 per cocktail, but the ambience is great. The facilities of the hot tub, swimming pool and saunas were amazing, and the cleaner was incredibly friendly and polite. The room itself was fairly large, with a spotless bathroom, and a kettle/Nespresso machine area too.

There was a group of men at the pool, disregarding the rules about mobile phones (you can’t use any recording devices in the pool areas). They were on the phone and diving into the pool constantly and therefore splashing strangers (both of which are not allowed), although I understand this is not the hotel’s fault, I just wished it was monitored more to help myself feel safer in these areas. The bar was a bit pricey, but due to the area, it was easy to find another place nearby for half the price.

Location to the Cruise ship terminal and shopping street and malls. Close to pubs and restaurants Our room was exceptional for English standards. Very large, lots of room, kettle and coffee machine and biscuits and glasses if required. Ironing board and iron and beautifully renovated bathroom with toiletries. Beds super cosy. The staff in the luggage storage desk is very efficient and helpful.

Lobby lounge, reception very unimpressive and uninviting. It is very dark and definitely in need of more and new seating for guests. First impressions are so important Very busy hotel. Therefore, downstairs waiting room is chaotic. Not a chance for either an early or late checkin or checkout despite our willingness to pay extra.

Room was very comfortable with two balconies and a view of the harbor. Staff was attentive and the food was very good.

After checkout, it took over 2 hours to get a taxi! I don’t expect the hotel to provide transportation, but I do feel they should inform guests of this “known problem on sailing days”.

Nice hotel great location

We stay regularly, good hotel. Just one small comment one this particular stay I had recently had a knee replacement operation. My wife Eileen had to handle the luggage and on both entering and leaving the hotel the foyer concierge offered no assistance at all in handling the luggage. He was doing so readily for other guests who were using taxi services but he completely ignored her, even though it was apparent that some help would have been appreciated. Small point but it makes a difference.

Bed was very comfortable and the room was clean and well decorated. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Nice area to relax by the fire with a drink in the foyer area. Amazingly located for all the nightlife in town.

Staff were polite on the whole but they just lacked any enthusiasm or desire to be friendly. This is an international hotel with cruise guests from all over the world. I feel management need to perhaps incentivise their staff to be a bit more outgoing. The pool is a great addition but the steps down to the pool could do with a refurb. Bar is very expensive.

Matthew, the concierge was WONDERFUL!! He gave us a city map and went over points of interest with us, plus gave us a lot of additional tips. ALL of the staff were very friendly. We really enjoyed the glass room at the bar and ate there a couple of times. The fish and chips were excellent! The hotel location is great. We enjoyed our stay there. The rooms were nice and the bed was comfy. I recommended it to our travel agent for future customers cruising out of Southampton.

The only thing I could complain about was the refrigerator in our room didn't work and I had a bottle of champagne to chill. They gave us an ice bucket, problem solved!

We’ve stayed here before and always have a good night’s sleep in a large luxurious clean room with a comfy bed. Clean quality en-suite. No fridge but appreciated the bottles of water and chocolates this time. Easy parking for £7 for 24hrs (paid this during online check-in, register your vehicle number at the desk on arrival). We will stay again.

If swimming, bring a robe & slippers to change in your room. The walk from swimming changing room to the pool is via a staircase where you are on view to those in the bar below. The pool changing rooms weren’t great. The facilities/cleanliness score and rating reflects the pool experience, which we don’t usually use.

The hotel was clean and welcoming with friendly staff. The gym had a good range of equipment for my husband and the pool was big enough to swim a few dozen lengths and feel that I had earned my dessert! A great location for the airport (15 -20 mins?) cruise terminals(less than 10 min taxi to the Queen Elizabeth 2 terminal), West Quay and the High street and other local attractions that we didn’t have time to visit this time. The rooms we had were a decent size and one was far bigger than expected with both bath and shower and enough space for four large cases and our hand luggage. Full size hairdryer and ironing board but best of all a huge comfy bed and quiet enough on our floor 4, but 5th) that I slept really well. Good range of breakfast options with allergies checked as each group arrived in the glass roofed dining area.

Me and my boyfriend spent a weekend at this lovely spa hotel and, despite me not feeling 100%, we still had a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing stay. The facilities were excellent — we especially appreciated the swimming pool and steam room, which made it easy to unwind. The hotel is in a fantastic location, right next to Westquay shopping centre with easy access to the cinema, restaurants, and plenty of other amenities just a short walk across the car park. It’s also close to the riverfront, which was perfect for a gentle, scenic walk. Getting there was very straightforward — we drove from Bournemouth and found the journey quick and stress-free. Once there, we found the rooms to be stylish, spacious, and very comfortable — the bed, in particular, was super comfy and perfect for much-needed rest. Food and drink options were plentiful, with lots of choice at both breakfast and throughout the day. We really appreciated the variety and quality. Overall, it was a great stay and we’re already looking forward to returning soon — next time we’ll be booking a proper spa treatment too! Thank you for a lovely experience.
