So far it's been the best hotel in Southampton I have stayed in as I travel for work there relatively often. Nice room with a kitchen, cozy design, green secluded location next to the park and harbour. Good breakfast and very friendly, accommodating staff.

My room had super noisy aircon or vent pipe going through - it was 4th floor, so next time if I am staying there I would definitely ask about it, could not sleep properly. Boiling hot water, some issues with the shower, could not adjust it to be colder - addressed with the reception on check-out. My colleague had the same inconvenience in his room.

Bathroom a bit grimy - disabled friendly but not very aesthetically pleasing. Staff aloof. All very young with no sense of urgency. Although polite.

Room was a decent size. A/C worked great. Breakfast was a good selection. I would stay there again. It was a nice location. I would just not order anything extra at breakfast.

1 elevator was out of service the whole time we were there. They were also servicing the other elevator during our stay. There was a sign saying only 2 people at a time so there was a long wait at times. I ordered breakfast and the fella asked if I wanted anything else so I asked for bacon. When we checked out, we were told we owed 20 pounds for the bacon. We paid cash for that. Our credit card was also charged even though we paid cash.

The location to the port, dining and a park was amazing. Finding a 2 bed with a coffee shop was also a bonus.

The kid at the front was very unhelpful, I wish I had taken his name. When I asked him any questions he was short and acted annoyed. It was uncomfortable and I think he was morning staff because when we were about to check in a new person, a lady was there and she was amazing and friendly and answered any questions like she genuinely wanted to help. I wish I hadn’t arrived so early to the hotel then I never would have met that guy and I would probably feel like everything was awesome. unfortunately he left a bitter taste in my mouth about the hotel.

Check out at 2pm was ideal Staff very friendly Quiet location, great before a cruise!

The sofa is desperately in need of a deep cleaning it was covered in bodily fluids of an adult nature. It was so disgusting I refused to sit on it.

It had such excellent facilities. From check in it was all great. We arrived late at 10pm and check in was completed by a very accommodating receptionist. Nothing was too much. The room was absolutely fabulous, everything you needed and more. So quirky, stylish, thoughtful and trendy! The bar area was fantastic, excellent atmosphere, lighting, music and wine. The range of items you could purchase was also of a high standard, what more could anyone ask for. We had the best nights sleep and woke refreshed and ready for the day ahead, my son was starting his training as an air traffic controller and this was the perfect stay for him to relax and ready himself before he started. The best thing of all was the 24 hour stay, so cool, so inspired and so relaxed. No stress about checking out early which made it the perfect stay. At other hotels I always feel pressured by checking out at 11am, so this was my heaven! I cannot fault Room 2, it was perfect in every way…..thank you so much……kind regards….Darren & Jude 😎

Cannot praise this place enough. From start to finish the team were on point, from an early check-in to a room upgrade nothing was any trouble for the staff. I asked for something to help with my luggage. They didn't have it - no problem, they went out and got it for me. Well above and beyond the expected service. The rooms are spacious and have everything you need, with all the amenities you can expect and fast (free!) wifi. Laundry facilities on site. Didn't use the gym but there's a small one inhouse, though there's also a lovely park right outside the front door. Berth 46 (P&O) is a 10 minute walk in a straight line outside the hometel, and there's plenty shops all in walking distance. Lastly they've just finished refurbing their cafe which I'd really recommend checking out!

We spent a long weekend celebrating my partner's birthday and it was one of the nicest stays for us. We received a free upgrade to the studio and it's just like in the pics on their website. The view from the room was amazing, seeing the park and the marina, very soothing to stay on those sofas and just watch the world go by. The room we stayed in also came equipped with a whizzy radio/bluetooth device which can be connected very easily to the phone and also works as an alarm clock. It definitely gives the vibe of "home away from home". We didn't use much of the kitchinette but it had all you needed. It's obvious they care about sustainability and environment; I especially liked that they put at your disposal a small empty bottle to use for milk (to collect from the bar) and a grocery bag. The trash cupboard has different sections to separate your trash. For me, the room really made me want to spend more time in it and make the most of its size and views. Would definitely book again

Gorgeous room. We wish there were more around the country of this hotel than just in London and Belfast. It is a perfectly layout for a family of 4. Plenty of room. Gorgeous bathroom with a lovely shower. Towels were lovely! The mini kitchen had everything you could need and the fridge was huge, also... dishwasher, genius! The views across to the massive cruise liners in dock were impressive and the gardens outside the window provided a lovely view. We could have quite happily stayed another night or week here!

There were only a couple of "negatives" and I say negative it's just myself being picky. The duvet was very thin! It was definitely a more summer duvet than winter. I wasn't aware that parking in the hotel car park needed to be booked, it was fully booked once I realised, luckily there were spaces on the road outside to pay to park at.

The room was ideal and the bed very comfortable. A request for an extra pillow was no problem.It was wonderful having the kitchen facilities. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

There was no plug in the bathroom sink and nowhere in there to put clothes or toilet bags. Information on the heating system would help. Encouraged to prepay breakfast was disappointing as most item's at Winnies cost less than the amount prepaid and the ruling to choose only one item means having chosen something of a lower amount we had to pay extra just for toast and marmalade therefore costing us more than the prepaid amount.
