Great location, nice, clean and comfy! Good communication from vendor.

Water pressure in the shower was a little weak, very minor point. Also, although not a reflection on Starboard Stays at all but be aware parking may be difficult on Football Match day.

Indian Restaurant right next door to the hotel, where I had a beer and dinner- amazing food (and great service) Good location to the street with other restaurants, though I used those in the main CBD including a Chinese restaurant. CBD Only around a 10 minute walk and very easy to find. The room itself fairly nice, the bed is very low but comfortable. Fairly quiet room, though be aware that the rooms aren't the most soundproof (for those returning from a night out) Good communication by Management using Whatsapp

Bathroom shower cubicle not in a great state and the water pressure was pretty poor. No lift so if you like exercise you will enjoy the stairs- I had a heavy suitcase and was on the top floor so got a little bit of a workout at the start and end of the stay, but I didn't mind as reasonably fit.

The room itself was very clean, had all mod cons like teas and coffee, towels, TV etc, nice sized bed. Bed was comfortable and the location was very close to the terminals and Ocean Village.

The room was above an Indian restaurant and the food smell was too much. There was no staff present and the layout of room numbers was confusing, no step free access. Walls very thin I could hear kettle going next door. Also shower wouldn't stay on the stand properly so showering impossible. I would recommend this property for after a night out/ needing to be close to Central, very good value for money but not a peaceful stay in Southampton.

Long stay car park opposite which is run by the Council so quite cheap, and has an app. The room itself was nice, big bed and plenty of floor space - it didn't feel cramped. Everything is done without staff, I got a WhatsApp message the day before with the door codes, the front door was open. Room 7 is the big window on the corner, Superior King. The shower room is a bit pokey, but it was OK.

Someone reviewed that it had a lot of traffic noise, and it is on a junction with the A33, you do hear the traffic, but that's what happens in a town. It didn't disturb our sleep.

the room was very clean and I was placed in a room where I didnt hear any noise from the restaurant or bar downstairs which was great so slept like a charm, i liked how the room also had wifi, on suite bathroom and I felt the room was a perfect size just for me. the restaurant downstairs was nice and very clean and would recomend it if you want to try something different and it was my first time staying in a hotel that was self checkin which was weird at first but it was nice they had included all the information you need on both the front door, next to the restaurant, in your room and on your confmation email/text, so was very easy and quick to get into the room. so would definitely stay again

i was confused on breakfast, i thought i could just go down to the restaurant in the morning and order, turns out they were closed until 12pm and i now think you needed to order the night before, which it should have been made clean on the confmation text and email as it said i could order before my stay, during my stay or on this number, so i went to order breakfast using the phone number i was given after i woke up, to asked how can i order breakfast, the bloke on the phone asked for my room number and then hangup on me, so in the end i decied to eat somewhere else for both night i was there.

We had a bit of difficulty getting in but the staff were so good, quick and helpful - it turned into a reassuring bonus for the stay.

Not a complaint - but I do think lots of hotels could leave a couple more coffee sachets. I'm a regular coffee drinker and would appreciate a bit more coffee in the room. But , really this was a comfortable pleasant room to be in with a much better TV than many chains offer. The WiFi was good too.

Location fantastic, rooms were clean, facilities exactly what we needed and close to cruise terminal and the bar underneath was great staff really friendly

We didn't receive codes before arrival which delayed our check-in a bit but was sorted quickly by barstaff, bed was very low to floor but extremely comfortable

Decent sized room with good amenities! There was a little tea station, a tv, free WiFi, a hairdryer and plenty of towels. The heated towel rack was a plus too

Lots of stairs and winding corridors. Carrying all your luggage up and down was a bit of a struggle. The bathroom itself was also very small and the location of the towel rack above the loo meant you'd elbow it quite a lot when doing your business.

Its unfair this place doesn't have a 10 star review therefore, I'm giving it the stars it deserves. The room was incredibly clean and cozy. After check-in I had a small issue that wasn't noticed until the middle of the night and when I brought it to staffs attention - they jumped into action immediately/without question to make sure I had what I needed and I couldn't be more appreciative. Also note they responded to me within minutes, in the middle of the night. Just message via whatsapp and you'll be responded to quickly. There was another review from someone mentioning the rooms were "noisy," and I'm here to tell you they were NOT. I'm a light sleeper and I slept like a rock in the extremely comfortable bed that felt like diving into a cloud. You don't hear the bar downstairs at all (its also not opened late) and yes you can hear traffic...when the window is open. You kind of have to pull a bit to get the window to close fully but once shut you cannot hear ANYTHING from the street. My partner and I literally sat at the window with our dinner just waiting for large trucks, cars, box tracks, and tractor trailers to drive by while opening/closing the window as they were passing to see how much you could hear....nothing. If the window is shut properly you will sleep soundly even if you're a light sleeper. This place is also situated right outside of a small medieval town that you have to walk through to get to Southampton cruise terminal. It's about a 25 minute walk from the cruise terminal too which is completely lined with walk ways so you can feel confident about navigating traffic with your luggage to get there. Overall I would highly commend the location, comfort, and attentiveness of the staff and would 10/10 recommend staying in this location. ESPECIALLY if you have a cruise to go to :)
