The staff here are friendly and welcoming. Nice size room (standard with sofa). A nice place to stay. Quite “homely”, nice atmosphere. Nice layout - restaurant, reception and bar area. I like more about this hotel than I dislike. Deducted one point for poor room cleanliness, and deducted one point for other issues combined.

Cleanliness and tidiness of room was poor: hairs from previous guests stuck on bathroom tiles and stuck to bathroom door. Dirty shower curtain. Stained mug. Paperwork and a magazine from previous guest was in room. Waiter who brought my dinner brought a cream-coloured sauce that I hadn’t asked for. I don’t eat or drink dairy products and asked him if it had milk or dairy in it. He repeatedly said no each time I asked. So I asked him to check with the kitchen. He returned and confirmed it did contain dairy (it was a cheese sauce)! That was unacceptable. Hall lights stay on brightly at nighttime and overnight so, due to big gap under the door, the room remains bright during the night, making it difficult to get to sleep and reducing sleep quality.

The location and view were brilliant, got an amazing view of the park that spanned all the way to the harbor, 10 minute walk from everything that I needed. Staff was very easy to work with. Beds were great and TV allowed me to mirror my phone screen to watch my own streaming services. Complimentary snacks in the room were a very nice bonus and were restocked every day. Housekeeping did an amazing job at making the room feel like brand new every day when I came back.

Bath was very shallow for a big and tall guy like me but got the job done and AC kept resetting or turning off randomly.

We arrived on an early flight and were exhausted. Thankfully, they gave us an early check-in. To have this meant a lot. I paid a charge but I did not mind that. Breakfast was adequate for our needs, and the buffet was well stocked up. You need to put out your sign to clean the room each day. The beds were comfy, and we got 2 double beds in our room.

The location wasn't particularly near shops and restaurants, but it's ok once you get used to the area. I dont mind walking. Train Station is a bit of a walk too, but a bus outside brought us near the hotel, and taxis are relevantly cheap to go to. I would recommend an Uber to Paultons park as the bus isn't the most frequent, and I'm not sure where it stops near the hotel. The city centre is a 10 minute walk. Southhamptom is a nice, friendly city with a relaxing vibe.

The staff were the greatest asset of this hotel. Especially Lewis who helped me with a query the day before I checked in and was on the desk when I arrived. He was friendly, engaging and very knowledgeable. The reception, bar and restaurant were spacious, clean and welcoming. Everything was good quality and a reasonable price for a hotel of this standard. The room was spacious; the beds comfortable and the air con worked a treat during the hot weather. The shower is a fixed head (which I'm not a fan of) but it was hot and powerful. The bathroom and towels were clean.

The rooms could definitely do with a little tlc. There were chips and marks in the bathroom tiles, stains and scuff marks on paintwork throughout the room and the bath is too shallow and low to be practical as a tub. I would have struggled to get out of it. The price was extortionate for two nights, but it was a Bank Holiday and all hotels were charging over the odds.

Well you always know the quality of stay that you'll get in a Leonardo Hotel and this place was no exception. Leonardo Hotels just have a nice 'vibe' and they're classier than most chains. I have to say one night there were a group of students next door to us who were being SO loud and annoying so at 1.30am I had to ring reception who were really apologetic (it wasn't their fault!) and the 'party' was dispersed within about a minute so to me, that's when you know you're in a really great establishment. When issues get solved instantly.

Our room was quite small even though it had 2 beds in it and it is maybe starting to get a little bit tired but it's still lovely. Also, and this is just personal to me, but without wanting to go into detail, as a woman, I'm not a fan of a fixed head shower.... Those are my only complaints though!

The location is nice just the other side of the green walk at the end of the high street. Literally a 10min walk back into the heart of the high street & around 25mins to the ferry docks at the bottom. The weather was great so was a pleasure walking everywhere. Parked in eastgate multistorey car park overnight which was right in the middle of it all. Good price to park there so definitely makes it worthwhile (£9 for 24hrs). The hotel is nice, clean, staff is good, facilities are good, bar/restaurant open til 9pm, breakfast has nice options - an open buffet so something for everyone. Plenty of restaurants and pubs & bars on the high street and of course the uni students around so you can't get bored!! Really enjoyed the ease of using the red funnel ferry to cross over to the Isle of White for the day. Visited Osborne House & is amazing, a must see when you go. If I had more time I would've definitely spent longer on the island. There's so much to see & do there it's a separate holiday in its self. Overall, was a great weekend & the weather was great so couldn't ask for anymore.

Can not complain really about anything major here, the hotel meets your expectations here & maybe more.

Myself and my four kids really enjoyed our night over at the Leonardo hotel. It was perfect for the kids. Breakfast was great. Stuff was extremely friendly and helpful .. But even had the kids Cinema in the evening where they offered free snacks which I was very surprised about. The breakfast has a large range on offer for people. The hotel was clean and kept up.. this was the second time visiting we visited back in 2021 last .. The kids were very happy with everything so I guess it was the 10/10

I like everything except from your vegetarian option at the hotel so breakfast felt like a waste of money as it's not tasty at all. Personally I did not like the bed. It was too hard and I could hear the planes overhead at night and the room temperature it was very hot one minute and very cold the next minute. ' myself personally I did not have a good night's sleep which ruined it for me but the kids were happy with everything else in general

From check-in to check-out the process was seamless. My husband and I were given a nice room with a lovely street view. Breakfast was included in our booking, and it was delicious and hot. The staff were also very friendly and accommodating. What was also nice is that the hotel is situated opposite a lovely park where we sat an enjoyed the beautiful breeze and the autumn colours. The West Quay Mall was also a short walk away via the park. We truly enjoyed our stay at Leonardo Hotel Southampton and will definitely stay here again when we visit Southampton UK again. PS: Drinks were also pretty good at the bar!

Everything at Leonardo's was amazing from start to finish. We stayed at Leonardo's as my wife had eye surgery at Optical Express, which is a very short distance to the hotel. Check-in was very smooth as the staff were super friendly too. The hotel manager Mack made our stay more relaxing as he gave us a complimentary voucher as a kind gesture. Mac and his staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay and checked on us if we needed anything else. Breakfast the next day was excellent as many options to choose from. The staff at Breakfast were very friendly and welcoming too. I highly recommend this hotel as it's super clean, and the location is excellent. Thank you, Mac and staff, for making our stay a good one. Will definitely be back

Convenient location within walking distance of Southampton Central station. Clean, modern decor. Quiet room on a high floor made for a good night’s sleep. I was greeted by a ‘Welcome’ plate of sweet treats and a handwritten note from the Front Desk staff when I checked into my room. Superb hot and cold buffet breakfast available for £13.00. Staff - especially at breakfast - were warm and welcoming.

Sitting next to the fire doors at breakfast wasn’t the best idea as these had to be opened during breakfast because of a smoking toaster (not for the first time it would seem) and it wasn’t a warm day.
