The hotel and the room were clean, the staff takes care of cleanliness. Polite staff. Clean towels, shampoo, soap, tea, coffee, kettle, TV, everything was in the room, great.

I arrived late at night, waiting for someone to open the door and give me the key to my room. It would be better if the hotel administration came up with an entry system, for example, a code on the external door for visitors, on the day of check-in, so that the hotel administration would text the visitor about the door code, room number and where to find the room key. This is a practice in London hotels, it would be great to implement it here. Also, the house is old, sounds are very audible from other rooms, I was on the 1st floor and heard every step of the guest from the 2nd floor, as well as how the gas boiler works, it turns on and off every 10 minutes and it disturbed my sleep. Maybe in the future it would be great to make repairs.

IT’s proximity to the city centre, that it had parking . Canteen was nice.

In the bathroom there was a hole in the floor next to the toilet. The chef could’ve been a bit less officious. A picture on the wall behind the bed was too low.

Not enough healthy choices at breakfast eg plain yoghurt and soft fruit, or a choice of baked beans and tomatoes

i didnt like paying for breakfast included with no opt out.

Ideal location , close to train station and theater, room was clean and comfortable.

Spoke to staff /owner about booking breakfast for the morning , she explained it was 7-9 am , asked about booking and she stated no need just turn up and pay man £5 each in the morning, arrived in breakfast room at 8.20 am to be told we couldn't have breakfast as not ordered the day before, explained we did speak to staff and explained that to him but he wasn't prepared to cook us a breakfast , very disappointed!!!

The property was well located near the station in a quieter part of the city, just short walk away from some more happenings parts of town. It was nice inside, the staff were friendly, the room was spacious and had everything I needed, and the breakfast was nice.

The shared toilet facility was cramped and the tap was broken. Although the staff were friendly they were talking loudly while I was having my breakfast and it was slightly off putting hearing details about the hotel while I ate.

Great location in central Southampton, very good price for its location with full breakfast included. Very friendly staff, a few free parking spaces out front if you are lucky. Rooms are well furnished.

Could do with some net curtains, particularly in the street facing rooms as you have to pull the main curtains across in daytime when getting changed!

The hotel in general was pleasant, clean, the staff very polite. Breakfast very nice and pleasant. The toilet and shower room is shared but no problems and as advertised. The hotel in an excellent location, just outside the town and in walking distance and ideal for my work. What was the most pleasing thing was the communication. As I was due late to the accommodation, the hotel regularly kept me updated and provided me with clear instructions how to access the hotel and directions to my room. There were quite a few emails sent to me prior to my visit, just to remind me of the procedures. Communication excellent throughout and put me at ease.

Great location a short walk from the train station on a quiet street. Room 2A was clean and suitably furnished. Nice to be on the ground floor and not have to carry suitcases upstairs. Option for a cooked breakfast was nice, though we ate our own food in the large dining room.

Minor concerns: bed was on the soft side, our door rattled every time the front door opened or shut which disturbed sleep, the toilet was fixed on a low flush setting, so it always took multiple flushes which didn't save any water.
