Convenient, comfortable and close to the train station. I loved the kitchen, the big TV in the room and all the storage! I was able to make a simple meal as there’s a Tesco and co- op 5 mins walk. It’s close to a park and easy to walk into town. Come out of the train station by the shops so you don’t get lost! Great find for one night!

It’s in a student area and on sat night the party was happening, so challenging to sleep and also a guy staying there tried to get into my room mistaking it for his,when he was drunk. Neither of these things are to do with the property though. The door lock on the bathroom is very stiff from the inside to open… a few times I thought I might get stuck in there! A tea towel in the kitchen would’ve been useful and for me personally- a hairdryer!! But other than that everything was fine and I had a nice stay!

The location was perfect for catching an early ferry. Quite quiet actually for a town location. Perfect for parking.

Me being short, had a couple of issues. First the blinds are spring loaded and in the bathroom, I let go and then struggled to reach it again but that’s my problem. Then the next issue was the extension cable, the kettle cable was too short to reach the extension cable because the extension cable is fixed to the floor. It also made it difficult to plug my leads in because it’s under the table. Was I missing something. I had to put kettle on the chair, to reach to plug it in.

Room was perfect, clean and very comfortable. Only a short walking distance to town centre, theatre and other amenities. Very quiet during the night, which was a very pleasant surprise. I had room 4 which had its own kitchen facilities including small fridge freezer, 2 ring induction hob and microwave with ample cooking utensils. I know many people wouldn’t appreciate this but after a busy day it was perfect to be able to cook myself something without going out. Small but lovely shower in en-suite.

Great find in a perfect location for exploring Southampton. Rooms are clean with everything you need. Coop close by to grab milk for a morning cup of tea. Did not use the cooking facilities but easily enough equipment and pots to make a cooked breakfast or an evening meal. Car park at rear with free parking. We arrived earlier than check in and could leave car and got our room early too.

Beds a little firm but that’s personal preference and would prefer a shower gel than a soap but for the price it’s a preference rather than a need.

What a great little place, especially for the price. Very central, handy to everything in the city. Fresh seeming carpet on stairs and landings, spacious room. Bed was comfy and room was clean. Microwave and fridge were handy, as was desk to work from. WiFi strong enough for me to work no with issues and smart TV was amazing. The old saying is you get what you pay for. This place is trying to give you more than that while not charging the earth, which in this day and age is admirable.

Only slight issue was shower, which was a little temperamental in flow (though granted was in an attic room) and temperature (hot then cold after about 2 minutes then hot again)

The location was great, so close to the cultural quarter. We were greeted at 3pm and settled in immediately. The hosts were even thoughtful enough to place us together, despite booking seperately. The rooms themselves were spacious, clean and had everything we needed. The bed was the most comfortable I have slept in and the area was quiet with ample free parking at the back of the accommodation. Fully accessible to the train station, theatre, beautiful local parks, , the co-op was a stones throw away for provisions. Walkable to museums, cafes, bars, clubs, restaurants, local Parkrun and numerous other city attractions. Great value for money with a clean, shared kitchen, adequately equipped for self-catering. A true budget, no nonsense stay that was safe, quiet and exceptionally well run.

Umm.... Really nothing! . It was exactly as described. I have stayed in Southampton several times as my daughter is at Uni there and will definitely use this guesthouse again. If you can't be bothered to make your own breakfast then just go to the little cafe or weatherspoons around the corner🍳😉.

The room was booked because we had a concert to attend at the guildhall Square. Conveniently located for train station/ coach station. Everything we could of needed was in the room (little kitchen area - with coffee/tea included) Comfortable and clean. Hosts were wonderful - had a lovely conversation when we were leaving (sorry if we held you up) Would stay again if ever in Southampton 🙂

The room had everything you needed: a kettle, tea bags, a mini-fridge, and even a large mirror! The house was in a real British style - I really enjoyed the vibe!

This was my first time in the UK, so I had some problems turning on the shower because I had never used an electric one with a line hanging from the ceiling 😆. Oh, maybe one thing to mention - the fan/filter in the bathroom! It was so noisy and loud, but after a couple of minutes, it stopped buzzing and I could go to sleep.

Best value for the price. Everything for cooking in such limited space, including required utensils. TV working, view on the parked car. And you are in the heart of the city to walk on Jane Austin places, marvel on the huge cruise liner, dine on Weatherspoon, etc. You can drive for less than hour to Bournemouth promenade to enjoy with sea view during a long walk and, possibly, to swim as well.

Shower required experience to adjust temperature of water and the steam of water was rather rather tiny.

Place was easy to find from Sat-Nav. Parking was easy. Plenty of space through the back. Was met promptly at the door and check in was easy. Stayed top floor - room was good size. Single bed was OK. Bathroom OK. Shower had small issue that needed maintenance (reported to staff). Was quiet enough throughout stay (City noise taken into account). Enough sachets/+milk, for a coffee in the morning. Location perfect for visiting much of Southampton.
