Great stay. Bedroom and hotel very clean and staff very friendly. Handy location.

Shame about the parking charge. £12 per night which was more than expected.

The location was great, just a short walk from train station. The cruise port was a short Uber ride away. Possibly could have walked if I had less luggage. Restaurants located across the parking lot. Shopping mall was 10 minutes walk away. Everything conveniently located. The staff was very friendly and helpful with suggestions. They are able to store your luggage if you arrive early, and have a decent size lobby. The Ibis Budget across the parking lot has a laundry which we used. $5 /wash. Very handy.

I did not like the narrower twin beds. The room temperature got extremely HOT in the middle of the night. There was no way to adjust the temperature. The fan in the room helped some. Room on the small size but large bathroom.

Our room was ideal for our needs, everywhere was spotlessly clean, good clean kettle and nice size bath. All staff were exceptionally polite and helpful from reception to restaurant and cleaning staff, could not fault them. Food in Charlie's restaurant was hot, fresh and really good and there was a wide variety. We loved also that the hotel is a few minutes walk from the train station and we managed to walk there with very heavy luggage in 5mins.

The room was really hot, however the fan provided was good and also quiet so we could have it on through the night. We had the windows open and there was alot of traffic noise, especially emergency sirens, think there must have been a hospital or police station nearby but did manage to sleep. We would definitely stay again.

It met our needs to be close to the train station and to the cruise port. We walked to the port on their advice, but we should have gotten a taxi or Uber. We were not in good enough shape to walk and drag our luggage. We should have been given better advice.

We had to wait too long to get into the room. We had been up all night flying over to the UK, had been on a train a couple of hours and desperately needed to get into the room. Others were in that same shape. We had to wait until 3 PM. No exceptions. I had requested an earlier time because of our age and bodily condition. There should have been some attempt to let us into a room earlier. We are 81 and 82 yrs. old

unlike when i stayed in birmingham, this ibis centre hotel was just amazing. the food actually had taste, the staff was always happy to help with whatever issues i had. The bar was also nicely stocked and there were some board games in the lounge for when you want to enjoy a drink with some friends, which i made use of.

my one and only problem is the bathtub in my room. it was green from either neglect or misuse and the water pressure was almost nonexcistant until you turn on the shower head, then it tries to powerwash your skin off.

Good basic room for a nights stay before our cruise. Location is good, it's only a 5 min drive from the main cruise terminals (Ocean, Mayflower, etc.) and you have various restaurants nearby, and a Poundland over the road for cheap munchies to take on the ship 😊 They do a stay and cruise offering where you can leave your car there while on your cruise... woth a look if you want something cheaper than CPS but bear in mind it's not secure like CPS (it's a public car park, not fenced off or anything)

Only gripe was the beds were a bit too firm for me, gave me some backache through the night. £10 per night car parking too... which is discounted for hotel guests from the normal £12.50 but still something to factor in to the price.

I am stayed at this hotel annually for the past few years. This year, in particular the breakfast was excellent, the staff immaculately turned out and polite. There appears to be a lady that was possibly a manager that visited the dining area, although I didn't think it her job, she helped clear the dirty plates and cutlery away. The young lady working at reception doubled up at breakfast and she was extremely efficient, likewise her attire and general appearance. These two staff appearance was more akin to a 5 star hotel. I think Ibis are very lucky to have these people involved in the hotel and I would imagine they will progress within the business before they are headhunted.

All was okay and acceptable for a hotel of this standard and rates. The room decor would benefit from an upgrade, likewise the small TV (replaced with a bigger screen). I wouldn't say that I "didn't like"

Great location for the cruise terminal. Arriving the day before the cruise took the stress out of the journey and have us the opportunity to explore a bit of Southampton which was like adding an extra port on to our cruise. The room was clean and comfortable. Didn't add on the breakfast as we knew we were getting a good meal as soon as we boarded our ship, but it's good to know it was available if needed.

Not really a dislike but we were informed on the afternoon of arrival that the hot water system wasn't working and probably wouldn't be fixed until the next day so showers would only be lukewarm. Didn't really bother us as we just left it until boarding our ship. The hotel did kindly compensate us with free parking which was good.

The room was comfortable.

I had checked in online to save time but was still supposed to show ID on arrival to get the room key. For some reason, this took five minutes even though I was not asked for ID. The room was ok however, the air com did not work on one of the hottest days of the year. It could be switched on to make an air con noise, but it didn't have any output, and the panel didn't allow for any adjustment. We had to keep the window open, and it's not a quiet location.

Lots of parking on site is great. The hotel was clean. All staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great with lots of choice. It was in a great location for our visit being the Mayflower theatre and Southampton summer sessions at the guildhall.

Due to the extreme hot weather the rooms were like a sauna even with the windows open and using the fan provided in the room. Unfortunately there isn't air conditioning in the rooms which would have made the room much more bearable.
