The lady who checked us in was very helpful, we booked the standard double room ,it was very clean, modern decor and the beds are like sleeping on a cloud , top quality bed linen . The bathroom was modern with powerful shower , the man who checked us out next morning was helpful and let us leave our cars in the hotel car park while we had a walk along the beach ,there were 10 in our party and no one was disappointed with Lemonfield Hotel , we will definitely stay here again

I liked the location, just a minute from the sea which is fab! Before arriving my questions about a later checkout were answered promptly and I was able to stay in my room until 12 o'clock which really helped me. The room was very clean except for the curtain stains but that didn't affect my stay. There was a little garden area through my window so that was lovely too.

Room felt a little cramped. I was staying by myself so it was ok but an extra person in it would have made it feel much more cramped. Both curtains were stained so need cleaning or replacing. On a small note the room key is quite big to carry around compared to other places ive stayed in. The back outside door area where there is seating is very drab and there were a couple of cigarette packets on the benches so I didn't want to sit there which would have been nice. Just needs some flower pots .

Staff were available at the time we arrived. She checked us in. Made sure we knew where our room was. She carried a bag upstairs for us. Rooms are comfortable clean at first too hot but were given fans without asking. No staff after a certain time but always available on the phone, not that we needed it. The breakfast menu was great. the food staff could not be more attentive. Would really recommend this hotel

This stay felt like staying at my aunty's house. I was comfortable and well positioned right near the high street and the beach! The shower was amazing! The room has a little garden window that was very comforting and the sounds of birds were soothing after a long trip. The breakfast was freshly cooked and the owners happily adapted to my gluten free requirements.

There was nowhere to open medium-large suitcases so might be worth leaving them in the car. There were some spiderwebs and the sound of the other residents closing their doors was quite loud.

The property was spotlessly clean. The check in clerk was very friendly and gave us lots of information about where to eat in the local area. We had a suite upstairs and a sea view (breathtaking) and there was lots of information at hand in the room for places to visit/eat. We ate in the local Indian restaurant and had drinks at the stack, followed by a beach walk next morning. The bed was super comfortable and this was hands down the nicest hotel I’ve stayed in, in the north east.

The gentleman who checked us in was very pleasant and helpful. The room was clean as was the en suite facilities. Nice addition of make up removal station and a nice hospitality tray. The room was themed gold which made us smile.

The bed squeaked when moved and the pillows were lumpy and the mattress softer than we prefer. This is all personal to us and not necessarily a criticism.

Brilliantly situated. Nice building split out into rooms. Very quiet and suited our need, visiting family.

We arrived at 4pm (when check in is 3pm) and had to wait at least 5 mins before we got let in. 5 mins feels a long time when you’re trying to work out what is going on. Fortunately we were standing in the porch,out of the cold wind. If fully occupied, surely someone should be on the desk all the time during this period.

Excellent location very clean and reasonably quite . Ideal for the facilities along the seafront and the sea road. Bus route within few 100 yards so good for a trip into centre etc

Not a lot to report really. Only thing would be the rooms bathroom was a tad congested from the W/C and shower.

Room was small but very cost and warm. The only point is that the motorway is nearby, so you can hear the cars moving (in case of windows overlooking the seashore). But it is not a problem at all with the window closed. Rooms were cleaned every day, altogether with tea and coffee resupply. Good wi-fi and a small desk to work. And the most important, the seashore within the reach of your hand (not the 1st line, but it does not matter and I checked the map before booking)

Room lovely, clean too, as was the bathroom which we loved. Lots of nice little touches here and host was very welcoming and eager to assist. Was upgraded to a larger room which was lovely. Was warm on the first night and there was a fan available which was helpful. Just a short stroll away from the beach and a few of lovely restaurants and bars. Would recommend the Seabird Inn for Pizza and good wine. Had a laugh at Quiz Night in the Promenade pub. Lots more restaurants and pubs within the vicinity or a short drive away. Had breakfast on the 1st morning, full English. Was more than enough, although bacon was just a little overdone. Lots of cereal, fresh fruit and orange juice supplied. Toast was hot and crispy. Helpfully supplied soya milk as I have dairy intolerance. All in all an enjoyable stay

Pillows were harder than we would have liked, although bed was certainly comfy enough. I just used some of the scatter cushions which were on the bed instead of pillow.
