Well where do I start Fonz and Chay were the most hospitable hosts! My daughter was on crutches and the family room we booked was upstairs so they gave us 2 rooms downstairs at no extra cost. The rooms were beautifully clean and the attention to detail was amazing including fresh milk and water for the rooms everyday and a huge selection of coffee, tea and hot chocolate. The breakfast was amazing and beautifully presented and certainly set you up for the day. We will definitely be back as the location is perfect too - 5 mins walk to the sea front and a further 10-15 mins to the harbour. It was a lovely break and we will be back. Thank you so so much!

The hosts were really nice and made me feel welcome. Since it was my first time visiting Torquay, she also recommended some places and sightseeing activities to do in Torquay. They have a variety of leaflets for tourist attractions and a very handy map of the town with coastal walk routes. The host is very attentive and always refills the tea, biscuits, and water (and milk). The room and bathroom were really clean and spotless. In addition, I really appreciate having a fan and mini fridge provided in the room given the hot weather during the stay. The location of the B&B is convenient as well, it is about 10-15 mins walk from Torquay station and just a few stone's throw away from Torre Abbey which leads to the harbour in about 20-30 mins walk.

I booked The Bahamas essentially due to availability, convenient location for my requirements, and the reasonable price. (I was travelling alone and busy during the days, so not in need of luxury.) However, the friendly welcome, the proprieters' keenness to look after me, the easy option to add (an excellent and reasonably priced) breakfast on an ad hoc basis, and generous provision of toiletries, tea, coffee, proper milk etc., as well as the comfortable well appointed room, all exceeded my limited expectations. I even returned one day to find I had been left an Easter egg, which was a really touching gesture. Thank you!

I really have to try hard to think of anything, but perhaps the radiators were a little noisy and need bleeding or re-pressuring.

Possibly the best welcome I've had in a hotel Proprietor unfailingly helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent and beautifully presented. Excellent walk in shower. There was a fridge in the bedroom - an all too rare facility but so useful. As well as the usual tea and instant coffee in the bedroom, there were sachets of drinking chocolate, another rare but much appreciated benefit.

The steep gravel drive was not good for my walking aid. The lack of public transport was a drawback as was the long walk for me with a mobility problem to a small range of restaurants.

But if you do have it you will be very surprised by the presentation please do try the fruit salad. It is absolutely amazing. They was clean spotless we had a fantastic day and would highly recommend the hotel to anybody. funds and chat were amazing hosts We was even presented with an Easter egg because we stayed over Easter 10 out of 10 Plenty of parking and electric hook up and very central to all facilities

Absolutely fantastic! This has to be the best B&B ever. Fonz went above and beyond to make our stay more than perfect, greeting us at the door, catering for fussy kids, and even leaving an Easter Egg in the room! The room was spacious for a family of 3, the beds were comfortable and it was very quiet at night. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was super tasty, lots of choice and we felt very well looked after throughout the entire stay. Great location to walk into town and Fonz is very helpful with advice on where to visit. Definitely would not hesitate to recommend a stay here!

The Bahamas is a lovely family run business. Chay & Fonz are such lovely people. Who would do anything to make your stay lovely. The B&B had a lovely warm and fresh welcoming to it . The rooms are a lovely size with all the things you need to make your stay even better. 50" smart tv on the wall Small refrigerator to keep your drinks and snacks cool Lovely dbl bed or in some rooms king beds The breakfast is first class Always nice and freshly cooked for you and beautifully presented 100% satisfied and will highly recommend the Bahamas to anyone looking to stay in torquay

Loved it here. The hosts were really friendly and welcoming. The bed was super comfy, a big tv screen on the wall, tea/coffee/hot chocolate available plus a fridge in the room with fresh milk and water in. Room was lovely decorated and bathroom was lovely. Free parking. Room was located at the front but even with the window slightly open we didn’t hear any street noise at night. Would definitely stay here again.

The Owner and his Wife were very friendly and helpful. They provided fresh milk for Tea and coffee which was in the room along with bottled water. The room was big, comfortable, the bedding and towels were fresh and clean. We booked the breakfasts once we arrived, the breakfast was amazing!! they must have a professional cook in the kitchen as it was a 5* breakfast! We will be back!

I thought the walk to the beach was a little far to be honest and glad I was driving.

The Bahamas was really clean, well presented and peaceful. The owners were absolutely fantastic and couldn’t do enough for us, so much so we arrived and were shown to our room and as we were there for our 1st year wedding anniversary they had decorated the room for us. The fruit salad and full English we had for breakfast was as tho we were at a top notch restaurant 👌 happy to say this was the 1st of many more trips to the Bahamas for us
