Wow! Fantastic in every way. Friendly and helpful staff, excellent pools and the room was just fabulous! There was a mix up with the booking which meant we had been allocated a room in a different hotel despite booking the Toorak. Within 5 minutes, the lovely lady on Reception had apologised and sorted out a room in the hotel we wanted. Imagine our surprise when we realised it was a room with private terrace! This made our holiday so thank you so much! We have been staying at the Toorak for a number of years and this was our best stay yet! Thank you!

There were a few tiles missing on the bath which didn't look the best. The system for booking pool tables in the aztec arcade needs changing so that you can book slots or a set number of games rather than just the table. We came across one very selfish family who thought they owned it and kept playing for much of the night when it was clear that there were lots of people waiting for a game.

We loved the spa and the leisure facilities! Very modern, a lot of options and we had a fab time relaxing. The staff throughout the whole hotel and facilities were very friendly and welcoming. The beds were extremely comfortable.

The rooms were extremely outdated. The shower pressure was shocking, it barely washed the shampoo out of our hair. The steam room in the spa smelt of damp dog and was unpleasant to sit in there. The breakfast was poor, had to wait for most of the food to be replenished for a while. It was hard finding where the entertainment was but when we did find it, it was great.

Four hotels grouped together all different. we stayed at the Torak. The room although being very basic was clean and comfortable. The restaurant served a lovely three course meal and in the morning the breakfast was fresh and tasty . The staff were helpful , cheerful and worked hard to make the service enjoyable. The food in the Aztec restaurant was very good and the pool is just lovely . we went on a Christmas three day break and the decorations throughout the hotels were amazing . It was definitely value for money

Drink prices I felt were a bit on the expensive side and the decor in some areas of the hotel needed a fresh kick of paint.

We have been coming to TLH every year for 6 years and love it here! The facilities are ideal if you have young kids or teens as there is plenty to do! The Toorak Hotel is our favourite and we usually book a sea view room. This year, we had a view overlooking the rear car park and pool. The indoor pool is fantastic and there is a small arcade with pool tables and mini bowling too. There are eating options in the Aztec or Albert's but we only had one meal there. The location is ideal - just 5 mins walk to the beautiful seafront of Torquay. Most of the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful, especially the lovely lady on Reception who stored our bags on the last day to enable us to enjoy an extra few hours wandering around Torquay. Overall, another lovely stay. We will be back!

The standard room was very dated and we found it very bizarre how there was a fire exit door in there. The green light on the fire exit sign was bright at night which was very annoying. The room was expensive considering how basic it was. We wouldn't book a standard room again. The shower wouldn't work one morning and it was a few hours before it was fully sorted which delayed us from starting our day as we had planned. The lady on Reception was amazing though! The cleaners were very unfriendly on the day our shower wasn't working. They knocked and wanted to clean the room. When I told them that we were only just having showers, one cleaner rolled her eyes and was quite rude. The other cleaner just looked at me, then walked off.

Fabulous location, around a 5 minute walk to the beach. Lovely to walk along the promenade then over to the marina. The hotel complex I was pleasantly surprised with, some of the reviews talk about cleanliness or out of date, we found the room lovely, with a fabulous sea view, the pools and overall complex very well maintained. The outdoor pool was a bit brisk to start with but if you’re looking for heated pools there’s 2 inside.

We stayed over with our 9 year old son, he loved it for the arcade area and indoor pool. Staff were great and food was good at a reasonable price. Everywhere is getting more expensive now but at least we didn't have to break out the credit card for fish and chips and a couple of burgers.

Looking a bit dated now, as does Torquay in general. Could feel the springs in the mattress and the bathroom was a weird olive colour, which to be fair added to its charm.

very helpful and friendly staff. Excellent facilities, esp for kids on a rainy / cold day. The games area is amazing. Breakfast was very good, buffet style with fresh hot cooked bacon, eggs, etc.

The overall decor is tired and needs refreshing, chipped paint in communal areas and rooms, carpet stains, etc. But the property is very clean, constant staff cleaning, hovering, etc. Biggest issue for us was the mattresses, they are old and we could really feel the springs digging in. They really need to update the mattresses / beds.

Fantastic location 5 mins from the beach. Great to have 2 pools to choose from, indoor one particularly nice. Not a top notch hotel but not expected for the price. Great value for money. Decent breakfast. Clean.

Nothing i actually didnt like but a few areas would benefit from improving. Beds probably a little old and bathroom needs updating. Water pressure in shower very low.

It has a large amount of on-site amenities!

The receptionist was a little tired and didn't want to deal with us, did not inform us of anything and we had to figure it all out ourselves, ie. She could have given us a map of the site, which we got from a different receptionist on the other building (they're all connected and next to each other, the different hotels on the compound)

The room was perfect a single and double bed. Loads of room we even had a little patio outside closed on my greenery. Staff were so helpful we had to have a hospital stay and they checked in with us on her well being honestly we couldn't have asked for more.
