Great location for our trip. Easy efficient booking in, clean tidy comfortable room. Breakfast was good quality hot... Would stay again as positives way out weigh the negatives for us

Contactless booking in and out not our preference. Lack of personal touch, although we did see William at breakfast which is pre ordered night before for the cooked option. These are just our preferences and should not stop anyone from booking this pleasant B&B

The montana is a very nice , good value hotel. The location is perfect. Our room was nice, large enough for 2 people, we were in room 10 which was top floor, a bit of a trek upstairs and with luggage. We would definitely stay again.

Breakfast was good and plenty, you order from a tick sheet the night before which i think is great as the hotel aren't having any waste on food. You can help yourself to tea, coffee, juices, cereal and toast. One little nit picky thing, the food is cooked and left in covered trays until you serve yourself, meaning it could be hotter and the hash browns go soft.

The ease of communication, simple checking in procedure. Our room was ready early which was a relief, we didn’t fancy lugging our bags around the town with us and the initial communication said not to arrive at the property until the check-in time of 2pm The bedroom fan was a massive plus in this heat

One small gripe, the breakfast for a Sunday morning seemed a little early and the check out at 10am did too. We was told we could stay until 11am but then we was back to the dilemma of lugging bags around with us. We had planned to spend the day in Torquay, we didn’t feel it was welcomed that bags could be left. I suppose we are used to hotel stays and took this for granted that you could just leave them.

Property was clean, bright and airy, very welcoming and the whole process was very easy. William was a great host and breakfast was lovely. Bed was huge, room lovely and everything and more we needed was provided. Love the idea of the breakfast menu and the room restock cards!

This is not something against the property at all as it cant be helped but something to be mindful of, however it didn’t effect our stay, the shower would dip in and out on occasion from hot to cold and being on a Main Street if windows are open it can be quite noisy. Again… we would 1000% stay again as that’s out of the property control.

- William, the host, was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay! - Spacious room, host left some refreshments in the room. Room also had excellent natural light. - Very nice property, all felt clean and like they were maintained nicely. Overall a very comfortable stay!

- breakfast was just okay, it was made fresh every morning but it would have been nice to have a fruit option. Inclusive for a vegetarian diet though!! - room was a bit hot at night when trying to sleep, fan provided but no aircon

Nice clean room and comfortable bed, modern bathroom and towels. Plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits supplied in the room. Small pleasant dining room, lovely cooked breakfast, juice, cereals and choice of coffees plus tea and toast. Cards to fill in for your cooked breakfast choice for the following morning and cards to fill in if you wanted or didn’t want your room cleaned. Contactless check in was a new experience for us but not a problem with access to our room key via a ‘key safe’. All relevant information was by txt message from the owner which was fine. We didn’t see the owner or any staff during our 2 night stay, when checking out the room key is left in a box in the entrance hall.

Not a complaint but online information did say there was a ‘honesty bar’ available but there wasn’t.

We enjoyed our stay here. We stayed here back in 2017 so it was good to come back and also see the lady that we seen first when we first came. We remembered because she served us back in 2017 with the baby in her arms. We loved our room back in 2017 and loved it now. The breakfast idea was brilliant. Our food ready when we came down.

The stay was fantastic, we will definitely be back 100%. Would have been nice to have some fruit at breakfast but wasn’t a problem so there was no need to say. When we left there was someone in the breakfast room but wasn’t sure who but would have been nice to say goodbye.

Clean, modern, and comfortable, and communication with the owner was very easy via text. Despite very warm weather, my room was cool and comfortable (a rarity in a seaside town where most properties won't have air con!), and the surrounding streets were quiet enough to leave windows open. I was unable to stay for breakfast owing to a very early start, but the in room tea/coffee facilities were great. The on-street parking nearby was fine, plenty available on a busy weekend.

The bathroom was clean, modern, and very nicely decorated. My shower pressure was a bit poor, but that was only a very minor issue! It certainly wouldn't stop me from staying again!

The breakfast was good, exactly as requested and very filling. The purpose of the visit was a conference at the Riviera Centre so the location was just right. I travelled by train so again the location was convenient for the station.

Registration for the conferences was 08;45 so the option of a slightly earlier breakfast would have been useful. I also missed the key box in the hall so a note on the check out would be useful in the notes sheet in the bedroom or in the initial email/text instructions.

I could not fault this hotel the breakfast was always cooked nice it was all self service not a problem every thing you wanted was there the owner of the hotel was always there to help and clear away , what i would call a family home

there was nothing me and my partner did not like made welcome from the start was there to welcome us in and the bed was clean and comfortable
