The Hotel is located just a short walk away from the Harbour and river frontage - but still nice and quiet. Great bathroom with a shower and a bath. Breakfast was good with lots of options. A free Prosecco on check in was a nice touch

The Hotel offered a parking voucher for the public car park an easy walk away however the car park was always full. Was lucky to find on street parking nearby but would suggest to use the Park and Ride if the riverside car park is full.

The hotel was very close to the town and amenities. It was uniquely decorated and in keeping with the area. The room and bed extremely comfortable and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was more than adequate and very leisurely, a good choice and all freshly cooked as you want it, we'll definitely be returning.

The only downside was the bar/restaurant closed at 7pm on Sunday which I understand as it's a family run hotel, also most other places in the town were the same.

We stayed 2 nights at Browns while walking the South West Coast Path and absolutely loved it! Our room was spacious (giant), excellently appointed and spotlessly clean. Everyone we interacted with was incredibly friendly, helpful, and efficient. The location was fantastic steps from the harbor! We had dinner in their bistro and it was wonderful - we had chorizo bits to start; I had the truffle tortellini, and my husband the chicken tagine. Each dish was exquisite. Breakfasts were wonderful as well! Finally - for walkers there was a great launderette 1 and 1/2 blocks away. In sum, Browns is most highly recommended. I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Beautiful, small boutique hotel - we absolutely loved it from the moment we walked in. The main bar and dining area is so relaxing and stylish. We had a peaceful and very enjoyable stay. The staff were exceptionally warm and friendly and gave us fantastic service. The car parking voucher was most appreciated. The wine and cocktail list was very good. Dartmouth is an absolutely beautiful place to stay.

Our evening meal was very good, but we felt somewhat overpriced. There was very poor drainage from our shower. Only two small things which did not take any of the enjoyment out of our stay.

The room was comfortable, and the breakfasts were excellent.There was plenty of choice, my husband said the porridge was good, and I enjoyed smoked salmon and eggs. Even the coffee making facilities in the rooms provided fresh ground coffee, not just instant. Staff were pleasant, and everyone couldn't have been more helpful. The position in the centre of the town and with a permit for the town carpark meant we didn't use the car for the three days we stayed.

Location is great nice and quiet at night but easy walk to everything. Parking was really easy in the town car park and the voucher provided is a reasonable cost. Nice touch having a good selection of herbal teas on the landing outside the room for guests to choose from. Excellent breakfast, good quality plenty of options

Shower could have been a little cleaner, the vent was dirty and the grouting needs attention. But that’s it!!

We loved the room, little extras were so welcome. Glass of Prosecco, nice touch, filter coffee and various teas. Loved the toiletries too. The breakfast was hot and of an excellent standard. Would definitely recommend.

The only two negatives, had to pay extra for parking which I must have missed on the info and the noise from the pub across the road (gone by 11.30pm so all copeable with; neither issue put us off.

It was clean. The welcome Prosecco was a nice touch. The breakfast was substantial and nicely cooked. The sheets were crisp and clean. There were plenty of towels. It was quiet. There was a fan in the room. The bed was a good size.

Having to lug cases up stairs as no lift The soft furnishings need upgrading and a lick of paint wouldn’t go amiss. No shower cap, cotton wool or cotton buds. The location was a bit grim and daggy. There’s no view.

You can’t go wrong in Dartmouth, this was our second time this year (different hotels) but location is great. Reception team were super lovely, and welcoming. Our only regret is we didn’t have dinner there as we’d pre booked elsewhere, and were gutted when we saw the menu! We read the bathrooms needed a bit of an update which agree, but it didn’t impact our stay at all. The room was lovely, on a bit of a slant but expected for an older building, bed was very comfortable and a lovely range of fresh teas and coffees, perfect for an overnight stay. Parking - you’re given a pass for the carpark but we managed to nab a space out front which was limited but much easier. Breakfast was outstanding, local ingredients and cooked to order. Would recommend!

The staff were super helpful and the location was perfect. We booked at the last minute and had a suite on the top floor which was huge and very comfortable. The breakfast was lovely too.

It's an old property so the floor in the bedroom was a rather uneven and takes a bit of getting use to, but that's not uncommon in the older properties in Dartmouth and can't be helped.
