Right from the start, I was met with a warm welcome from Jon. He told me I was getting a free upgrade to the Crow's Nest room. I was delighted! The room was warm, clean and very spacious! The bath was lovely and clean. The view of Kingswear across the River Dart was genuinely breathtaking. This is truly a hidden gem of a place. The highlight for me, though, was the breakfast! Just wow. One of the best hot chocolates I've had in recent memory. The poached eggs and smoked salmon with hollandaise sauce was delectable. Julie did an outstanding job with it. Freshly squeezed orange juice, warm croissant and more finished it off. 5 stars.

The main thing I disliked was setting up the WiFi on the TV. It was a bit tedious and I think it should have been set up prior. However, it worked in the end and managed to get Netflix going.

We had the absolute best weekend staying at this gorgeous B&B – couldn’t recommend it more! From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. The location is central with absolutely stunning views. Our room was gorgeous – stylish, spotless, and so comfortable. Breakfast each morning was a real treat: fresh, delicious, and clearly made with care. But what really made our stay special were the hosts, Jon and Julie. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Julie even kindly came to collect us when the buses weren’t running!

Excellent breakfast, good quality ingredients cooked well. Very comfy bed and pillows. Nicely decorated and very clean. Ice available whenever you need it. Lovely friendly owners.Great location.

We stayed in the terrace room. The room was great but the terrace was a little disappointing. No view, overlooked by several houses nearby and the window of the room next door opened on to it. Although nothing to do with the accommodation, be prepared for the sound of gulls all night, a negative of being by the harbour.

Lovely property, in the heart of Dartmouth, overlooking the river. Beautifully decorated, good quality bedding and furniture and very clean. Plenty of good quality items for breakfast.

For short stays there is no parking permit and you are obliged to use the Park and Ride (P&R) which is some distance out of town. (To be fair, the owners offered us a lift up to the P&R but we would have had to wait and we were anxious to get off. Parking for the weekend was £30.)

We recently stayed in the Crow's Nest at the top floor of the hotel, and it exceeded our expectations. The views from our room were absolutely breath-taking, offering a panoramic vista. The location of the hotel couldn't be better—everything we wanted to explore was within easy reach. The room itself was light and airy, with plenty of space to relax and enjoy the surroundings. It felt like a true escape. The staff were friendly and responsive, always ready to help with a smile. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with stunning views.

Car parking was difficult as you need to use the park and ride, which is slightly outside town. We were lucky and were able to use the surrounding road car parking (free 4pm-10am or 11am, depending on the area) as we drove to Salcombe on one of the days. As we had not used the park and ride, we were not charged for this.

A beautiful small bed and breakfast in the very best part of Dartmouth. The hosts were lovely and everything was as described. Bedding, shower, refreshments particularly the homemade biscuits were all top quality. The breakfast was one of the best I've ever had.

My room was lovely and had a little terrace but no special view However when I re-book I shall opt for the lovely room on the top floor which looks marvellous and overlooks the waterfront.

Fabulous ! Very clean bright modern room and en-suite bathroom, coffee machine and good quality teas and coffees . This is an exceptional B & B is it's recent awards are fully justified. We only styed 1 night but it was wonderful. The breakfast was brilliant, good choice of items and all very well cooked and presented. The location is right on the Dartmouth waterfront with easy access to all Dartmouth has to offer. The convenient car parking arrangements provided by this establishment is also worthy of note and was a bonus ! I would not hesitate to recommend this B&B to anyone who wants an exceptional stay. John and Julie (owners) go the extra mile to ensure your stay is memorable.

Absolutely lovely property. Great location on the waterfront and close to all the local restaurants and amenities including the car ferry. On arrival we upgraded to a room with a view over the water. We would definitely choose this option in future. The Waterfront House is obviously cared for by Julie and the team. Everything is of high quality. The breakfast was of very high quality. They get their sausages and bacon from a local butcher and everything was tasty and fresh. Highly recommended. Pricey but worth it to treat yourself in a beautiful part of the country.

There wasn’t anything that we didn’t like.

Fantastic waterfront location, nice modern decor. Our room had a sunny terrace at the back of the property, so no sea view but nice to have outside space. Hosts were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent, a lovely healthy buffet selection and fabulous cooked breakfast.

The only downside was that the en-suite bathroom was very cramped, although we appreciate it would be difficult given the size of the room to make it any bigger. No on-site parking which wasn’t a problem as we could park outside overnight, but would be more challenging in high season.

What an excellent place... Waterfront House exudes pure, unpretentious quality in all respects - fixtures and fittings in the room, food options for breakfast, the proper white cotton napkins at the table, the coffee machine and cookies in the room ... everything, really. Very warm welcome from hosts Julie and Jon. We had only booked the small 'nook' room but were offered the chance to upgrade for a small additional charge. So pleased we took the opportunity - the 'Estuary' room had a fantastic view of the river through a bay window. The binoculars on the window sill were a nice touch!

Cannot think of a single fault - all superb!
