I had such a wonderful experience here. Alistair and Mel were both extremely welcoming and accommodating. The rooms were very clean, had space for all my necessities and clothing. The breakfast here was lovely with a selection of cereal and cooked breakfast. Alistair and Mel show a genuine interest in their guests and are happy to provide advice and insight into what to do whilst staying in the area. They have a way of making their guests feel at ease and I’m not surprised to have heard from individuals staying there that they have visited the property more than once and in some cases several times.

Alistair and Mel were exceptional hosts nothing was too much trouble for them they even went out of their way to ensure that my travel companion had gluten free breakfast which I must say the breakfast was amazing with such a variety of cereals, fresh fruit, orange juice, yogurt, tea & coffee and the full English breakfast which was cooked to perfection.The bed was very comfy and the room was kept clean and tidy and they replenish our tea/coffee water etc... every day and made sure that we did not run out of anything. Our stay was most enjoyable and we were very sorry to leave on our last day. We look forward to staying with them again. Thank you Alistair and Mel for being perfect hosts and making our stay so enjoyable!

There was nothing not to like!

The Haven House is a little Gem. Very clean, very comfortable and very homely. The proprietors Alistair & Mel are second to none. The perfect hosts, true gentleman. They couldn’t do enough for you. Nothing was too much trouble. I/ we would highly recommend this place and we wouldn’t stop anywhere else. A big heartfelt thank you to both of you. Steve Sanderson

Nothing not to like

This lovely little hotel is situated close to the bay, which was ideal for the festival we attended. Ali and Mel went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was warm, welcoming, informative and they catered for the alternative milk that I need. Thank you so much to them, we really had a lovely time in Torquay and look forward to coming back in the future ❤️

The hills in the area lol, but absolutely nothing to do with the property.

Lovely B&B Great location the room was clean with fresh towels daily,we also had tea/coffee etc but we also had water and chocs in the room which was a lovely touch.This B&B is well worth a visit,the breakfast was as good if not better than any hotel we have stayed in.The hosts Alistair & Mel were real friendly and caring could not fault them.What value for money.

The reception from Alexander and Mel was first class from the start.was offered too carry my luggage 👌then refreshments on arrival to our room which if I may was sun facing 👍 from there treated excellent service amazing touch too our room was a handy mini refrigerator, brilliant for the store of chilled medication 👍and a cold one😀 great comfortable bed👍woke up refreshed and headed to the dinning area for breakfast and wow what a lovely start to the day 😊 I don't think I've been too a great hotel thanks for having us Alexander and Mel 👌🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟💥

I stayed at Haven House to break up a last minute journey to Penzance. A nice friendly welcome on arrival, and I was given a choice of the last two rooms. Very comfortable bed, a good selection of coffee and tea in the room, and bottled water provided. Great breakfast with plenty of choice. Mel and Alistair are brilliant hosts, environmentally conscious, and it's obvious they enjoy what they do. Haven House is great value for money, I would definitely stay again if in the area. A credit to Torquay.

The owners were so lovely and welcoming! The best breakfast of any place we have stayed. Lots of choices and everything was cooked to perfection. The room was spotless and very comfortable.

Alister and Mell were polite,friendly and looked after us very well. Breakfast was fantastic and Haven House itself is within walking distance of everything in Torquay,we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this B&B to anyone looking to visit South Devon.

A very small point was that because of how the rooms have been divided one can hear the shower, or TV from the room next door but this small point is far outweighed by how good everything else is

Room and hotel was spotless. Breakfast was plentiful, a wide range of cereals, yoghurt and fruit as well as a hot cooked breakfast of choice. Hosts were wonderful, really polite and helped with the luggage.

The car parking spaces are very tight with little room to get out.
