Personally welcomed by Jonathan the owner who explained the door locking system and pre ordering breakfast form,although I was a little early the room was ready and Jonathan was happy for me to check in. My room no 7 was absolutely spotless with lots of nice touches like a fan and a hair dryer.There was also a well stocked fridge with snacks soft drinks and alcohol all at a reasonable price. Fresh milk for coffee and tea was also kept in there which the owner was happy to refill . One nice touch at Kethla House were the complimentary beauty products in the bathroom, enormous bottles with gorgeous fragrances. The Breakfast at Kethla house works on a pre ordering system with an alloted time slot up to 9.30 a choice of cereals yogurts and fruit juices are all available along with the traditional full English. Kethla House also offers a full vegetarian breakfast and extras such as smoked salmon. My breakfast arrived promptly lovely and hot and was delicious. Overall I had a lovely relaxing weekend break and I will definitely return to Kethla House.

I thought it was an amazing place.

Very friendly and accommodating hosts. Our room was spacious, comfortable, spotlessly clean with a stylish yet relaxing aesthetic. A choice of breakfast was provided. I can thoroughly recommend the full English breaking which was cooked to perfection every morning. Jon and Sade were perfect hosts, always happy to share recommendations and suggestions for day trips, local villages and restaurants. A fantastic experience all round at Kethla House.

The only negative was leaving. We would happily have stayed for a few more nights!

This is an exceptional b&b. Lovely friendly hosts who are very helpful, recommending places to visit, eat and taxis. The room was lovely, well decorated, very comfortable bed and everything we needed. The breakfast was delicious, nothing is too much trouble. We have already booked to come back in August, we loved it so much we tried to book an extra night, when they told us they were full they went on to try and find us somewhere else to stay! This will definitely be somewhere we come to regularly. Thank you so much Jon and Sade

The location where the hotel was brilliant bus stops nearby. The hotel itself was amazing cleanliness was 100% spotless. The breakfast, well, they were excellent got a choice, and cooked perfect. The hosts Jobathon and Sade were brilliant if you were struggling where to visit just ask and they would give all the information. I couldn't fault this hotel at all.. definitely be back. Well stocked fridge in room. Lovely shampoo condiotoner body wash in shower no need to take your own.

There was nothing not to like about this hotel 100% all the way. Breakfast good choice. Cleanliness 100% spotless. Good shampoo conditioners and body washes in room. Well stocked fridge.

We had a really lovely stay and would definitely return without looking for anywhere else in Torquay. Our particular bathroom was really nice but a little bit small for people with mobility issues. Other bathrooms may be different and the lovely, high quality free toiletries were really appreciated. We have bad backs so unfortunately we didn't find the beds that comfortable but don't let that put you of because we don't find any beds comfortable and everyone else has given the beds a great review! Particular highlights were the mini-fridge packed with a great range of higher quality products than I've experienced before and they do not over charge. They put in a lot of thought and care to make sure their guests are provided for. It was great that extra tea, coffee, bin bags, toilet roll etc were left in the hallway so if you run out and the hosts aren't there you can grab them yourself and not have to wait. The location is great - a short walk to the seafront and town but also the bus stop is right outside for anyone with mobility trouble. I'm vegetarian and the breakfast was really good. Whole place is spotlessly clean and really nicely decorated.

Friendly, understanding (with regards to our delay in arrival), the place was lovely and spotless. Comfy beds and good facilities. Nice toiletries. I wasn't most chatty but the hosts definitely produced their best effort to help and welcome us to Torquay

The breakfast times didn't suit our schedule as we would like but the host provided us with continental packed breakfast so all good in the end. The shower head in room 5 could do with an upgrade because it was bit small but this is just a preference.

Kethla House was beautifully decorated and well situated. The hosts were friendly and welcoming and the breakfasts were delicious. We stayed in the small double room and whilst it was small as others have noted, it was well thought out and the size is reflected in the price which made it great as a holiday base to explore from. Our friends stayed in the family room which had a full size single bed in addition to their bed which was ideal for their son.

The parking bays were very tight in size and to get out of - we found it was easier to reverse in. There is lots of free parking in nearby streets however.

Location was a nice easy walk from the train station (15mins) and 10mins walk straight to the beach! Sade and Jonathan were very welcoming and all smiles which really gave the day a good start every morning, plus a full happy tummy! Bus stop was around the corner which allowed us to travel further. Clean bedroom, everything you needed from a comfy bed, strong shower and if you need a few spare bits like loo roll or different teas, fully equipped downstairs! Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back to visit

Nothing bad to say

The outside looked modern and inviting, the inside was clean and bright. We had the last room available which was small but perfectly formed and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The owners were friendly and helpful, advising us of places to go and things to do. The choice of breakfasts was excellent and they were some of the best I’ve had in a b&b, making our room amazing value. There was also a fab choice of drinks and snacks in the room which were much more reasonably priced than any I’ve had in a hotel. They provided good quality shampoo, conditioner, hand soap and moisturiser in the bathroom which was spotless. The weather was lovely when we stayed and they even provided a fan.

Nothing, we really enjoyed our stay.

The breakfast was amazing! Absolutely delicious and far exceeded any expectations we had, we were welcomed with our children and they were accommodated fully, a wonderful place to stay and we hope we get to visit again! Room was beautiful, lovely blankets and pillows very homely! Toiletries were wonderful, bed was comfy! It was very calm and quiet (until we arrived with two excited children, very much hope no other guests stays were affected) cannot recommend a stay here enough! Thank you so much for having us!
