The breakfast menu was extensive and the quality of food was excellent{individual requirements always catered for if chef was informed prior} We used the restaurant for dinner and again the menu was extensive and regular changes made.Again the quality of the food was excellent and the table service was second to none. We were made to feel special and we very much appreciated it. The bar staff were very efficient and quickly got to know your requirements. The room was well appointed,very clean and serviced regularly.

My wife and I had a fantastic one night stay at the White Lion after hiking from Shanklin along the coastal path. The room and bed were very comfortable, super clean and well-equipped. The food was delicious, in fact, the best crab and prawn linguini I recall ever having. The staff and service were top notch, and to top it all, ice cold Red Stripe 🍺 on tap (I even managed to get a pint for £3.51 during 17.00 to 18.00 Happy Hour 😁). Top Class.

The accommodation was incredible! It was in an idyllic village with a post office, pharmacy and village store in walking distance. The pub was beautifully decorated and the rooms were incredibly clean and comfortable with air con in the room which was very much needed in this warm weather!The landlady and staff were so lovely and friendly and made us feel very welcome. The food was absolutely delicious, we had breakfast on both mornings and dinner on one of the evenings and it was of such a high standard! I cannot rate this place high enough, we had such a fabulous stay!

Great pub with excellent food, especially the fabulous breakfast options Very friendly welcoming staff and the pub was clean and comfortable. Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious. Lovely finding very friendly and helpful staff. Niton is a great location you can access the coastal path leaving your car and worries behind to enjoy a coastal walk. The island itself is easily accessed in all directions from the village.

The only thing I can bring to mind is the pub is dog friendly but they don't allow dogs in the accommodation areas

The location was perfect for a first time visit to the island. All the staff we came across were fantastic & could not have been anymore helpful. Breakfasts & the one evening meal we had here were lovely.

The room was a little on the small side for a 4 night stay - the bathroom door banged into the bed when opened. I’m sure this will eventually cause damage to the door or bed frame. The coffee machine in our room didn’t work properly. Staff very kindly changed it for us but that didn’t work either! Possibly time to upgrade these machines?!

Anita made us so welcome, our room was very well equipped albeit small for two people, but adequate for our needs and the bed was very comfortable and the shower was very good. We had a very nice cooked breakfast on both days, tasty and well presented. The pub was perfectly situated for us being, very close to out relatives in Niton, and it was so great to have free parking too.

As I mentioned to Anita at the time, it would have been really helpful to have a small shelf on the side of the bed, which was closest to the wall, for water, glasses, book etc, and maybe even a lamp! Otherwise, we were quite happy with our little room.

Location and the pub in general. Very nice and friendly.

There were only two couples at breakfast. The lady serving us was lovely and very attentive, however my breakfast when it arrived the sauce was not warm enough. I maybe should have said something but by that point my husband had started eating ! On the menu for breakfast it showed bake beans but they had run out ! And I heard the other couple ask for kippers which they too did not have ! It's little things like this which annoys me

Good choice for breakfast and cooked to order. Quiet rural location, clean room, friendly staff, restaurant on site, nice sunny garden. Everywhere on the island is only a short drive away.

Small room felt cramped. One side of the bed was against a wall, so nowhere to put anything and awkward to get in and out if you're the unlucky one on that side and only place to sit in the room is on the bed.

Nice place. I got a discount on the room from a certain website, if I’d paid the full price I would say it was expensive.

I ordered a dish and an ingredient was missing when it arrived. The ingredient was integral to the dish. I couldn’t see the food wasted so accepted a discount, but if I knew beforehand I would have ordered something else. I ordered pudding to make up for it. I thought the food was over priced for what it was.

Excellent location, especially for the event start location we were participating in. Easy to reach from the Ferry and plenty of parking. Food was wonderful; we had a delicious dinner and breakfast, staff were super helpful. Room was clean, bathroom was spotless and seemed brand new. Room even had aircon - unheard of even in expensive hotels in London. Wish we could have stayed for longer. Bed was probably softer than we would prefer - but it was warm and comfy nonetheless.

I don't think there is anything we didn't like - we have pretty simple needs. Worth knowing that the room we had was compact, so if you prefer lots of space, chairs to sit on etc - you need to ask for a larger room,
