A lovely old building with beautiful old features. Clean and tidy and our room was spacious. The staff could not have been any nicer. They were so lovely. Friendly and so willing to help with anything. And the food was excellent. You will never go hungry staying here. It was excellent

The property was in the tiny village of Chale. There is not much around other than the inn. You have to drive to the next town. Obviously could walk. But quite a distance. There are some lovely walking routes around which could be quite lengthy. For us our stay was perfect. It didn’t matter , the island is quite small to discover.

The staff are honestly the most warm and friendly people, they are attentive and thoughtful in every way.The location is one of the most picturesque points of the island, fantastic views and brilliant play area for children. Now the food in my opinion is the best on the island, the variety of the specials board is incredible and changed daily. The Wight Mouse Inn is where myself and my family will visit every time we stay on the island, even if we don't stay in one of their beautiful and cozy rooms. The rooms are equipped with everything you could want or need, and the beds are so comfortable you won't want to get up but you will miss the best hot breakfast the island has to offer!

That I had to go home!

We had a really excellent stay for four days. The room (Room 1) was spacious and comfortable with plenty of storage and a lovely sea view. Breakfast was comprehensive and more than adequate. The staff were, at all times, helpful and professional no matter how busy the place was (and it can get very busy). We particularly liked the prompt food service in the evening and the varied menu.

No complaints at all though I would say that the noise from the bar and outside area below our window could be a touch intrusive but, as the place closes at 10.00pm, it didn't spoil our sleep!

We truly loved everything about this place! It’s a beautiful, very clean, and exceptionally well-maintained property. What was especially important for us is that it’s dog-friendly — we travel everywhere with our five-year-old German Shepherd, so being able to stay here with him made a big difference. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the food was quite tasty. The location was also good as a base for exploring the island. Overall, it’s a charming and lovely place, and we would absolutely recommend it to anyone!

The location was the perfect halfway point to stay the night as I cycled around the island for the weekend. Their secure bicycle storage was great! There wasn't much nearby within walking distance so I had dinner at the pub downstairs of the inn. It was excellent. It was hard to choose what to eat from all of the great choices. Good beer options as well. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast in the morning was delicious. The wifi was convenient and fast.

Like most inns, the walls are a bit thin. I noticed but did not find it a problem.

We are walking the Isle of Wight coastal path and stayed here for 1 night We received a warm welcome from the reception and throughout the stay. The room was spacious with all the facilities you needed. We had the evening meal there and the food was excellent, the breakfast was brought to you with a smile as well. The location is excellent and there was a lovely sunset over the sea. It's dog friendly throughout as well, not that we had a dog but they cater for them with dog bowls and blankets to lie on. We would definitely come back to this accommodation

What a great place place to stay, The Staff went out of there way to make this a an exceptional stay. The breakfasts and evening meals were of exceptional quality, always freshly cooked and arrived at the table piping hot and served with a smile The rooms , even though a little dated were super clean and comfortable. This was a work trip but I would not hesitate to book again if I was staying for leisure.

We had a wonderful stay here. The place itself is beautiful and has the most amazing pub garden with a little kids play park. The rooms were perfect with lovely sea views and the breakfast each morning was fab. We would defo visit again!

Price was different on booking .com compared to what we were charged but we did get some of that back.

We liked the location which allowed me to get to my work meetings easily in the morning. Our bed was really comfy and I could see my car from our room which gave me peace of mind and we could hear the cows which was quite sweet!! The sticky toffee pudding was really good!! And the staff were friendly and there were fun litte touches in the bar. I stay away regularly in the Isle of Wight with work and would 100% stay here again!!

The pillows were very soft and squidgy so was quite hard to get to sleep at first

The place was amazing, we had a great time and will definitely be back. The only thing I could possibly complain about was the cost of the ferry to get to the island,which is a real shame. Although we did get a code for 15% off the cost I thought it was still expensive. Having said that when we got to the white mouse everything was great. Staff couldn't do enough for you ,they were all so friendly.
