I traveled with my son and elderly mother .I needed a room beside her.Staff were friendly and helpful Christine Rose met us on arrival and was so welcoming.Christine went beyond her role helping me with extra bookings online, and informing me of all that was available within the hotel. James also on the front desk were very attentive and noticed I had overlooked one night on my stay and assisted us in securing room for our final nights stay.

On line booking system let me down twice. I had to book a room beside my mum as she is elderly. I got one room for 5 nights double but could only get the other for 3 nights.My son was with me also. He had to stay with family. With no in-house booking available it is frustrating to see rooms available on the hotels system and not available on line. V Hotel app also was under Maintenance and I was unable to get the room I needed. I understand it's a franchise but some options should be available to managers to help family's and customers to make their stay more efficient.

Comfy bed, and good room darkening shades. Enjoy having Starbucks and a pub on premise to make for easy breakfast, dinner, or an evening pint.

I was put in a handicap accessible room that ended up being a little awkward to use (very low sink to use for the day to day), and water flooded the whole floor (slips hazard). Noise tends to travel from inside (heard a working dusting the blinds clear as day, others' TV sound) and outside (always seemed to be an alarm going off in the parking lot). Nothing some earplugs couldn't fix.

Christine Rose and Jamie were great front of house receptionists and helped me with all my stay. They went beyond professional and showed great care with my family and I. They were approachable whatever my questions were, with local knowledge and exceptional attention to the running of the hotel.

The hotel could not facilitate bookings within the hotel. All bookings are online. I needed a second room and could not secure even though one was visible on the hotel system. This was a letdown for me and a disappointment as I had to book elsewhere for the Saturday night and my family were staying in the hotel.

We came for my birthday and it was amazing, card and wine waiting in the room when we arrived. The bed was huuuuuge and so comfy (I’ve ordered the same mattress topper when I got home) my partner loved the L’or coffee machine, he’s asked for one for his birthday 😍 food was gorgeous, staff were so lovely, the bar man even told me about downloading the app to get discount off the beer which was great. Pool lovely as usual, tried the gym this time too and was fab. It’s the second time we’ve been, and would highly recommend. Also pub over the road is excellent.

I loved the beautiful spot outside the pub its very nice when sunny relaxing for a drink the staff were very nice and were doing their jobs well making sure we had id because were only 18, the pool is awesome and rooms are very nice very nice shower the bed is very comfortable although I did change the bedding when I arrived becasue I have sensitive skin and the heating and air conditioner is great

It could possible juts be me but wasn't a fan of the room service , I ordered a bbq chicken party bucket and the wings had bbq sauce but no sauce for the tenders and I ordered a bbq pizza / flatbread and thr bbq was reallg not it ,my boyfriend ordered a trio of sliders bit dry

Good location for us as near to family residence. Clean room, good facilities. Lovely swimming pool although didn’t have time to use it.

Would have liked more storage space for clothing. Only one small shelf each side of bed & one hanging rail, so had to live out of our suitcases for our 5 night stay. No bedside lights. The only lighting in the bedroom was 2 small spotlights in the middle of the ceiling. Not good if one person wants to sleep & the other to read. Lovely large mirror in the bedroom but no light over it so you could actually see when doing hair or applying makeup. Good lighting in the bathroom but mirror to far away for short-sighted people!

Most things were very good, best are the staff, all very friendly and helpful.

The couple in the room next door were having very noisy sex at least three times during the night. Their constant groaning and banging/slapping noises woke me up each time for the duration. I did stick my fingers in my ears but couldn't get sleep that way. Next time I'll pack some ear defenders.

Staff friendliness, location and breakfast choices.

Decor in corridor looked a little tired. We were placed at the rear of hotel which was great as each evening was very loud due to large gatherings of corporate groups. I think this was a meeting place for events. Saturday morning 9am was so loud in the foyer couldn't hear yourself talking due to the overwhelming amount of people in the main entrance blocking the area and corridors. Apart from that we had a good sleep and the staff were very pleasant and the breakfast was great. Didn't really fancy watching boxing on all the TVs at 07:30 in the morning with music a little loud.

This was my first stay at Village Hotel, and I was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean, the staff were friendly, and the hotel is just a short, easy walk from the town centre. The pool is a good size and includes a sauna and steam room, which made for a relaxing experience.

Unfortunately, we didn’t have hot water on one of the days, and since we were on a tight schedule and desperate for a shower, it was quite inconvenient. It was also difficult to reach the front desk immediately. We ended up using the gym showers instead. However, they did change our room in the afternoon, and we didn’t have any more issues after that.

Pool, steam room and jacuzzi were good although it was very busy as end of half term! Room was big and well laid out Staff were polite and helpful Close to the town, easy walk

Shower could have been stronger Would have liked some tissues in the room Needed a sewing kit and asked reception but there were none and the receptionist looked like we weee slightly mad to be asking - having things like this that you could then charge for if needed would be a great touch (used to have them in all hotels rooms but showing our age!)
