Our room was stunnng, and very comfortable. Yhe antique furnishings were lovely. The Hall was beautiful. Most staff pleasant but a shortage of these on the Saturday. The breakfast was nice but lacking in the continental section with little to choose from. The views were gorgeous from Willington Hall. It was a beautiful place to stay and visit.

The gardens were not looked after, the grass had not been cut for some time and clearly maintenance outside an issue. Water features not working. For a place to sit out and enjoy such was a shame. The drinks were over priced cordial which was unpleasant to drink at £2.50 a glass. There was no apology from staff but a shrug of the shoulders when the starter for our main course was clearly over cooked and not what it should be.

The staff were absolutely lovely. Friendly, helpful, informative. The dinner we had was very nice and the breakfast was perfect. We took our dog. They are very dog friendly, too. Our meals were served in the Bar area and not the restuarant, which is what you expect when you take the pooch :) The gardens are beutifully kept and there is plenty of parking. We would have tried more walking, if not for the storms.

Nothing the hotel could control but the storm Darragh was on, during our stay.

This property is a little gem, full of character and history with amazing views that displayed the recent snowfall and ice, this was magical to see. There is the expected age related characteristics that come with this type of building which we feel is quite charming, so ignore other reviews about the trivial. All we can say is WOW, we opted for the dinner bed and breakfast option. The food is amazing, dinner was lovely, we chose starters of whitebait and prawn cocktail, we had mains of duck breast and homemade steak and ale pie, and dessert, cheese board and crème brûlée with a nice bottle of white wine. The taste of the food reflects excellent good quality and high standard. Best chunky chips in the area 😁 Lots of choice on the menu, it was hard to make a decision. We need to return soon to try the other options. Breakfast was superb, very tasty. Our room, which was a suite, it was lovely and warm, also clean with all the amenities available. A very good nights sleep which is of importance to us, we were not disappointed. The staff are friendly and accommodating, they make you feel welcome the moment you walk through the doors. We will definitely be staying here again. Well done Willington Hall. 👏

Staff lovely and a nice place to stay. Very elegant setting.. would stay again.

On breakfast and dinner rate. Gave an allowance towards each meal, without being extravagant was an extra 40 pounds for 2 over 2 nights, if you went to steaks etc this could easily have trippled. either a set menu choices or a bigger allowance would work better as didnt feel we actually got a breakfast and dinner board rate... drinks on the expensive side as well.

Excellent customer service through out from reception, to bar in the evening and breakfast staff in the morning. Nothing is too much trouble. Our comfort and joy is clearly a priority for the team at Willington Hall. Definitely a home from home for me.

It's too strong to say "I did not like." Its a mature small country hall and maintenance is alway going to be an issue at such establishment. so my comment is a point to take it from 9/10 to 10/10 in my humble opinion. The shower head did not work in the morning but they did have belt and braces. I was able to use the shower attachment to the tap to equally good effect. I did not bring it to anyone's attention as I had checked in late and night and left early morning. These people are good people and I will definitely continue to stay here as my home in the North

A beautiful old English country property hidden away in rural Cheshire. From driving through the gates to entering via reception and mooching around the public areas, this place oozes charm, friendliness and an understated classiness. Wonderfully friendly and helpful staff members, attentive but not in any way overbearing. The terrace at the back of the property is a beautiful spot for a pre-dinner drink, and the views are amazing, stretching over miles of rural Cheshire, with North Wales in the far distance. Comfortable room, with lots of fluffy towels, and good, hot, strong shower. Restaurant was classy, and the menu very varied. I ate the whitebait for starters, and it was as fresh and succulent as anyone tasted in recent memory. Fish of the day was Salmon, which was cooked very well, succulent and tasty with crispy skin. Breakfast was included in the price and was filling and hearty. I would definitely recommend Willington Hall.

There was a constant him from the aircon outside of bedroom 9. Otherwise it was excellent n

an quirky old country house set in the most beautiful location, stunning views- with helpful friendly staff, excellent dinner and breakfast

nothing really however being picky - being an old country house which make it so attractive also comes with niggles associated with such a property- ie the shower water got a little tepid/discoloured if you weren't the early riser and some cobwebs and spiders in the high ceilings and high windows perhaps could be addressed.

Lovely building & location.had a very nice meal & drink in the bar. Able to walk our dog around the grounds. Close to the sandstone trail was handy too.

Being charged £40 for our dog for 1 night. When I asked why so much the reply was for cleaning the room. I have stayed in many hotels and paid £10 to £15 for our dog & never seen an unclean room! I think this should be made clear at the point of booking as I would not have booked.

Staff very welcoming, excellent facilities. Beautiful Location, House and surroundings Bed was massive and extremely comfortable

Attention to detail by staff at breakfast could have been better. We were first in the dining room and last to be greeted and order taken. The food took along time (almost hour) to come out. I can only assume they had to pop to shop to get the beans that I ordered. Also all guests were shocked at the lack of breakfast on plate. The waitress suggested that toast SHOULD be ordered when orders were being taken 3 pieces of bread cut in two for 2 people was a bit cheap too.
